I'd like to give this place more starts, but after dealing with the angry, rude bald man at the front counter multiple times. The two stars I'm giving is too much just based on the angry bald man working the front counter. It's sad that the bald guy is employed by this establishment, because it's a great place with actually NICE employees. However, this man is just angry and hates everyone. I've witnessed him be mean to children who did nothing besides ask him a question. He is a HORRIBLE person, and has zero people skills. Besides the angry bald man everyone has been very nice, but we've had our last experience with that guy. We sadly will not be returning as long as he still works there. Lava Lanes is out of the way for us, but we'll take our money to Lava Lanes. We just refuse to have to deal with such a horrible individual while trying to do business with a local company. If they get rid of him we will be back, but as long as he is still employed there we will spend our money where we will be treated better. read more

Concealed carry holders attention: they do not want your business here. I was asked to take my gun to the car after taking my coat off and having my legal carry exposed momentarily. Hair in my food and charged for it! I am disgusted and I won't be back. I WAS a regular customer, this place was always my secret getaway but it has gone downhill, especially so since new owners have taken over. It used to be clean and now they don't even vacuum anymore so what else is not being done? Bartender Theresa is unfriendly and incompetent. When I asked her about being charged for the 4 inch hair inside the quesadilla she said she'll probably have it resolved next time I come in. I'm not going back in! so here's my response to that!! What a nice bowling alley! Its always so clean and the music isnt loud. The bar isnt grungy and has great beers on tap for cheap. The prices to bowl including shoe rental isnt bad either. They have a nice arcade and lots and lots of parking. The bathrooms are clean too, which is pretty sweet since I have little ones. If youre looking for a cheap and fun family activity, try this place. Recommend and will return. read more

I got fouled! Never before have I been in a bowling alley where the lanes actually alert you when you step over the line. I've also never been in one where the bumpers pop up and down on their own depending on what bowler is up. Lastly, I've never been to a bowling alley where the employees help you select a ball. We went to Roxy Ann only because Lava Lanes was all booked with league players. I'm glad we did, as this alley was super family friendly, the staff were great, and the prices were far more reasonable than I have ever encountered before. We're not much of a bowling family, but we'll definately be back. Smaller than Lava, and much more personal--I can't reccomend this place enough! read more

Went here today for a lesson with Alex and to have a ball drilled. Clean and comfortable bowling alley. Another review mentioned they did not have a lot of small/lighter balls to use, this has change! Nice selection now. They also have a great price on ball+drilling+shoes+bag!! Alex was personable and very helpful, the lesson was well worth it. He is very knowledgeable. Happy to drive down from Grants Pass again! We will be back and bring our friends! read more

I have to give this place a one star review based on my own experience tonight- I am not blaming them or the Open Frame bar located within directly for the actions of another but when an establishment serves alcohol they have a responsibility to not only their customers but to the community as a whole to not allow those that have been served alcohol by them and have consumed enough to be intoxicated to drive away from their establishment a danger to themselves or others.... my 16 year old daughter and her friend were leaving the nearby soccer fields and were driving back toward Medford when a patron of their establishment pulled out of their lot intoxicated... they t-boned the car my daughter was riding in... right into her.... when they approached her and she told them that she could smell the alcohol- and when they realized her friend was on the phone with the police- the two intoxicated men that hit them left two 16 year old kids in a totaled car in the middle of Pacific Hwy and took off- it's time to retrain the bartenders on cutting people off and recognizing the signs of intoxication- maybe even hiring a security person with experience in OLCC checks and controls- I know you can't detect everything or prevent everything but hopefully this one-star review calling out on the- at minimum- lack of oversight and -at maximum- outright negligence- may cause somebody to change something here read more

I live in Medford and we are very lucky to have this style of bowling alley in our city. It's clean and the lanes are very consistent. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. We are from out of town (WA) visiting family and decided a good bowling night during the holidays was needed. This was super close by and the prices are cheap! The front desk was super friendly and wonderful. Original bowling setting with carpeted walls (built in the'50's I believe?) So super retro and cool feel. Outdated on the screens so sometimes your scores get messed up but it's all about having fun. read more

Today me and my entire family went to a adult birthday party at this bowling alley. We did have children in our party but it was not a kids birthday party. Good food and nice prices. Not as great as lava lanes though I still prefer to go here for the price. Way cheaper and still a fun game to bowl. Great place to take the kids or some adults to have some good cheap fun. Me and my friends went bowling here and they got two games and I got three games. My friends had additional game added and we started bowling. Halfway through the third game the person at the bowling alley rudely told us that not all of us had payed for our games. When they charged us for them. We tried to argue our case but they just shut us down and told us we were wrong. Will not be coming back here. Horrible service. Much better ways to handle the situation. read more

Excellent! We began bowling at Roxy Ann a few years ago because a friend was having a party there. I hadn't bowled in like, 30 years, and my husband's experience was similar. Besides the fun and the cathartic thrill when the ball hits those pins with a delightful crash, it was the customer service that got us hooked. The people at RAL are extremely friendly and helpful! There are good choices for micros at the bar. We will be back. It's a great little "local" to get together with friends and have a fun, affordable evening. read more

Nice clean bowling alley with a very clean and modern bar. My husbands company has their Christmas party last night and we all ended up at the bar. My biggest complaint is the utterly unfriendly bartender-- she was an older lady and seemed very unhappy in her job. We are all in the service industry and know how it goes, so we all went the extra mile to be courteous and nice to her, tip her well-- and not once was she pleasant, gracious or even cracked a smile. It definitely put a bit of a damper on what was altogether a lovely evening. read more

I highly respect this bowling alley in Medford because their emphasis is on the family and they are always promoting the sport of bowling to the next generation. Roxy Ann Lanes is the place to go for family fun, and to have a great time with friends. Their facility is very well maintained and the service is good. Highly disappointed after reading all of the really good reviews. We arrived to a tired bowling alley. The man working the front said there was only 1 hour available to bowl because they had a league playing that night. We were fine with that. Got our shoes and picked out our balls and went to our lane. The ball return was slow but I wasn't surprised considered how old everything looked. We decided to activate the bumpers for our son after the first frame. I tried to do it myself on their outdated system but couldn't find the option. I approached the front counter and the worker told me what to do hurriedly since he was busy working with a receipt? I told him I tried that already and he repeated himself. I said I would try again. I headed back down but didn't see it again. He headed down at this point somewhat rude, like it should be easy to find. Then he said he may have to activate it from the front counter. Then he came back and said he forgot the motor went out on the bumpers on this lane. Meanwhile, wasted time has gone by on a tight bowling schedule. He switched us to another lane nearby. I found the bumpers and activated them. Not sure I would call them bumpers. More like rails. But ok. But now a new problem emerged. Our balls repeatedly got stuck in the back. At one point we had two balls rotating together in the back. I waited a couple minutes but they never could get free. I went again to the front counter and told the front counter worker. He asked if I had used size 6 balls. I said one was in our entire group but that was it. He said that size 6 balls always get stuck and that he always tells people to get two size 6 balls to bowl at a time. Of course he never told us that. But first of all, why they heck is their equipment so faulty. He seemed preoccupied again. With another receipt. What should I do I asked him. Bowl another ball? He repeated the information about the size 6 balls to me two more times. (Argh!) But what do I do to fix it I asked him after I again told him that only one was a size 6. He called for someone to retrieve the balls. More time passed....My family and I were extremely frustrated at this point. We were visiting from out of town and what was supposed to be a fun experience was turning into a disaster. Mind you, we'd bowled 2 1/2 frames at this point. My husband said he was going to ask for a refund. He tried, but they said they wouldn't refund the 10.00 in shoes. The front worker brought down complimentary 1 free game cards for each of us instead. For out of town bowlers? And there was no time to possibly bowl another game today even if I wanted to because of all of the bowling alleys mishaps and the league coming in. I mean, was this a rude joke? Never will bowl here again. And recommend against it to anyone who asks. Was this a fluke? Maybe. And possibly if given a refund I would have tried again, but this money grubbing place won't be taking anymore of mine for their subpar experience. read more
