So my original thought was true, but then I became hooked after perusing the Game of Thrones comic book series. And then after talking about how covid delayed the reprint of the 1982 French comic book Le Transperceneige (original content source for the 2013 movie and 2020 tv series snowpiercer) - I know I will be back when that becomes available. Well, if you answers yes to any of those questions, Comics and Collectibles in East Hartford, CT is a place you should probably be checking out. I was in Connecticut a few weeks back visiting family and friends when one of them took me to check this place out. From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but when you walk in and head downstairs you are punched in the face by an insane amount of comics and a massive space filled with both them and everything else you could want as well. It seems this store carries new stuff while also having a huge back catalogue and even an entire edition full of complete sets for you to sift through (I ended up finding two awesome sets from Clive Barker, Night Breed and Hellraiser). The toy section here has all sorts of stuff from statues and Funko pops to vintage toys both in and out of the package. Overall, this is a top notch spot for comics and toys if you live in Connecticut. This place has an amazing inventory, a friendly staff, and even though it might be the least creative name for a comic shop I've ever seen, it's about what's inside that counts!

There were a few vendors selling what I was looking for and were close in price between each other. After explaining my situation to the owner of Fanboy, Troy Emmi, he took his time to go over different options and even was able to help me preorder some rare items on his site, that no one else had available. He was basically 10%-15% below all the other companies and I have purchased about 4 more items since then and all we delivered as advertised in perfect condition. Some of these other reviewers seem to be focused on shipping issues which any owner has no control of.

Only customers had this same experience of him stealing and robbing them out of money. He stole my $210.00 an what he's doing now it's not acceptable. I these had a BBB claim upped about Troy Emmi at Fanboy Collectibles because of him taking all my personal business information that I gave him and posting it on a different website for everyone to see. Troy never provided any of that information that he says that he has whatsoever to the Better Business Bureau. Almost as if he doesn't happen. The only thing he did was talk negative about me as a customer and about my past negative business experiences with other companies and businesses. Also the worker at Better Business Bureau I spoke to them by phone and she also said I should probably contact consumer relations about him or a lawyer do to him stealing the $210 of mine but most definitely about him taking all my personal information and posting it online. So Troy Emmi at Fanboy Collectibles is now believing that BBB is wrong? Also I did try to contact consumer relations by phone but because of covid data on take phone calls and to set up a complaint on this site is kind of hard for me. Something else Troy Emmi has said is "As for these new claims. If we were harassing you on Facebook why would you not just report us to Facebook? They would immediately close our account." Troy Emmi has me Blocked on Facebook. It's kind of hard to report something when you're blocked Troy. Now I have screenshots of that and everything else proving my point if you want it. So the first picture is of me logged into my Facebook and Gmail account and the 2nd is of me when I'm not. So yeah. Blocked. So yeah. I do care about this because I'm not going to have something steal $210.00 from me first and 2nd post my personal information online and have that be OK. Great comic store…read more Been coming here for a few years and no real complaints. Place is clean, neat, and fairly organized. They carry a good selection and can back order something for you if they're out of stock. It's located in the middle of a small strip mall less than a mile north of New Roc City. The parking lot is terrible and unorganized (not Squiggy's fault), so unless it's fairly empty, you can park on the street with the meter or a side street nearby. So if you're in the area and are a comic fan, be sure to check it out.

I can tell you that this store is huge, neatly set up, and boasts an ungodly amount of comics, collectibles, figurines, toys, games, cards, books, posters (check out the very foxy Supergirl) across the pop culture spectrum of movies, television, comic books, super heroes & villains. They even have a small sports card section, so every branch of the Nerd Tree is represented here! They don't have a website, but have a Facebook page on their business card, which I included as a photo.

I have been here 2 times and will be back, again. I bought two full comic book sets, one was a 52…read morebook set for $100, and most of these are in almost pristine condition. I then bought another 18 comic book full set for $15 and with 2 missing books (that was clearly marked as missing) and I found the other 2 online, so now I have the full set, and it only cost me $24 in all - you can't beat these prices. I'm not looking for comic books that are in perfect condition, although, most that I have received are in great condition and inside protective sleeves. I'm 54 years young and enjoying being able to buy full sets of of the classics. Great store, and I can't wait to buy my next full series.

MTG products are laid out for you in binders by set, they have a glass case up front for all the higher priced cards, and the staff is super knowledgeable about what they have in stock, which is all a huge deal to me. I've also heard that they recently expanded their store, which is super cool if they plan on hosting larger tournaments. Not only that, but you can place orders on their website and pick them up at your own convenience. I have yet to do so, but a friend of mine does it constantly and tells me that it's so much more worth it than sitting there sifting through cards. Yeah sure it might be a bit difficult to find from the main road since it's in a shared business building, and you might even pass it while trying to find it, but if you want a great experience at a comic/book card collector shop, this is your place.

Not one person greeted me when I walked in (which to an extent is a huge pet peeve of mine). What made it worse was eventually an employee (I believe the owner) looked me right in the eyes and didn't say anything and just ignored me. They had some good comics hanging on the wall and stuff seemed fairly priced. But honestly customer service and feeling welcomed goes much farther to me as a customer. If I don't feel welcomed or wanted then why would I bother wanting to give you my money? I'm not sure how people stay in business when they're not social with their customers.

I…read morehave been to too many hobby shops/comic book shops who don't have a real appreciation of the craft and Rogue Comics totally gets it! No high pressure sales, no condescending attitudes, you can tell Mike loves what he sells and it comes across in the recommendations he sometimes throws your way or in the pleasant commentary he sometimes chimes in on certain titles you pick up on your visits. I love that I never have to worry about rushing over every week since I might miss an issue, since Mike takes great care of my pull list and even throws in a few surprise titles which are usually right up my alley! He even goes out of his way to host midnight release parties for special titles for the comic faithful who cannot wait! Every year he does a great job with Free Comic Book Day which I always make a point to bring my younger cousins/ nephews to and plant the seed early to continue the readership on these top of the line titles. I have been a regular customer now for over 3 years and I wish Rogue Comics the utmost best since I would dread the day I'd have to resort to ordering these books online and miss out on the awe and wonder I regularly experience at Rogue Comics!
