I like this spot. You can drive-thru and get some brews + snachos! I think that they have burgers too, but I've never tried them.

They treat you like you're the 'favorite neighbor'. Right away they bring you out a 'biscuit with gravy' just for you to try. What a smart concept! The menu is both breakfast and lunch/dinner and it offers many options to choose from but not too many and several are your American favorites but also southern style flair. I had a meal that was big enough for a king but I wanted it because it offered a taste of everything I want when I'm eating breakfast. 3 eggs, ham steak, sausage patty, bacon, hash browns, and a side of their fabulous pancakes and they come in your choice of flavor and I got the pecan. Honestly, besides the food being remarkable, and the service on point, the restaurant has a 'homey' feel to it and there are pics of the owners family all throughout. The last thing I'll say is, the owner comes through the restaurant and visits with everyone. Just a dear person and her goal was to make sure our experience and food was exactly what we wanted. And it was!! So, Bravo!! Keep doing what you're doing because it made us come back again and again!! Each time the same remarkable experience!!

This place doesn't disappoint, I love everything, from the clean modern yet inviting ambiance to the café de olla and the Chilaquiles! I ordered the Mini Reketes: chilaquiles divorciados (red and green salsa) which come with shredded chicken. I added queso panela asado and chicharrón with mixed salsa... DELICIOSO! And to top everything else, the service was kind and friendly, as soon as I let Nancy know it was my first time here they walked me through the options and what they are known for. But that's not all, I came in hungry and left satisfied AND motivated by their kind personal note in my coffee cup and inspired by their place matt. If you are in McAllen and surrounding areas you need to try this place!

The food did not taste bad BUT it didn't taste good. The food had no flavor. Reading some of the…read morereviews I am not sure what to think. The restaurant is pretty small which is why I believe they only had 2 servers. After we got seated, and placed our order, the food took 45min-1hour. While waiting we had to ask the server either for coffee or water since it was rare that they would come up to our table and ask if we needed anything or to keep us updated on our food, My husband and friend both ordered the chicken and waffles as previous reviews stated it was really good. The waffles had no flavor meaning the batter was very bland it REALLY needed the syrup to taste good. The chicken IMO lacked flavor. When asked if they had either búfalo sauce or something spicy for the chicken they stated they had none. I ordered the Chile relleno all I tasted was chorizo. The flavor was to over powering. The last plate that was ordered was the South Pole poutine. According to my friend it was good but he left half of the food. So I'm not sure if that's a true " I like it". The music was good it created a good ambiance but you don't go to a restaurant for the music. Would we go back? probably not.

We also ordered the eggs Benedict and they did not disappoint. Lastly we finished with some yummy fluffy pancakes. The service was top notch. Very helpful and attentive to our needs. We went during the week so brunch menu varies on weekends if I'm not mistaken. The ambience is a unique, clean, open concept. Everyone gets different mugs with sweet messages or pictures with their coffee. The ugly: it's easy to overlook this location but don't be fooled this hidden spot is a must try for sure.
