Brooks Trailers stands behind their work and takes care of their customers. I had a brake issue…read morewhere one of my brake calipers was seizing up on my boat trailer which they found to be an issue with the surge brake actuator. After the actuator was replaced I picked up the trailer and was still having brake issues. The next step they took was replacing both calipers which also didn't fix the issue. In the end, the brand new surge brake actuator they installed ended up being bad and they had to install another one. I ended up bringing the trailer there three separate times. In the end they went above and beyond to take care of me, realizing that it took a lot of effort on my end to keep bringing the trailer there. Even though the new actuator being bad wasn't necessarily their fault, they stepped up to prove their commitment to me as a customer. I was truly appreciative and impressed by the service I received here as a first time customer of Brooks Trailers.

I had the best car buying experience I have ever had today at Van Bortel Subaru of Rochester!…read more I worked with Shawn P and not only was he professional, but fun and made the entire experience smooth and stress free. Was a no pressure deal and gave me a great deal without all the back and forth hassle you get at other dealerships! My entire family has used Van Bortel and Subaru for years. 3 generations of happy Subaru owners! I chose the 2026 Ascent Onyx Touring for its towing capabilities as I was coming from an F-150. It tows my Bayliner with ease and I hardly notice a difference! I would also like to add that the service department is also incredible. I had faulty trailer brakes on my trailer and one of the technicians Tom went above and beyond to help me diagnose the issue and gave me recommendations on how to fix it even though they don't normally work on trailers he still pointed me in the right direction. I am THRILLED and would HIGHLY recommend Subaru and this dealership to anyone! Thank you!!! -Nick

No concerns were raised and I proceeded to drive to Boston a few days later. When I arrived in Boston there was a deep grinding in the brakes and my car needed immediate attention. I was told that two brakes were shot and the other two were at 1-2 mm. A brake caliper also needed replacement. I am incredibly disappointed about the missed call when my car was seen at Subaru, and the subsequent risk of driving the car with compromised brakes.

Originally they quoted around $350 to install, which i thought was a bit steep at the time (mind you, I don't know anything about labor costs, part costs etc.) but didn't really care since I knew they were professionals at this. The appointment was quick, dropped the car off for about 2 hours and they did a excellent job! The price ended up going down to around $225 which i thought was a great deal! Functions perfectly and the sound is crazy good! Recommended to my family members, since they also were looking into installing Apple CarPlay units to my car. They also have financing plans!!
