First time at cava did not disappoint. Straight out the gate the cucumber mint limeade was AMAZING. I really really loved that. The build a bowl was the a perfect blend of grains and veggies and you can customize it however you like. I loved the mixture of flavors that tasted so fresh! We did door dash and the driver was very nice. I'm sure the actual restaurant is great too but having this delivered was the way to go. We've been to Cava so many times and I can't believe I've never reviewed it! :-O Prior to Cava, this place was called Zoe's, which we also loved for its Mediterranean options. While we were sad it closed, Cava was a strong replacement that definitely satisfied our cravings for Mediterranean fast casual. Some of our favorites are the Greek salad, the chick pita, and custom bowls with black beans as the base. The service here has been consistently good over the years. We're very lucky to have a few of these in Central Florida and will definitely keep going back. Pro tip: When asked for the dressings, get the yogurt dill, as it's very similar to tzatziki and has the lowest calories of the other dressings, that way you can do 3 different dips besides tzatziki. Foodwise, the veggies I waited for were overdone, which in my experience you gotta put in some effort to overcook Brussels sprouts. The tomato and cucumber relish was funky like there was a bad fruit that got cut up in it. The chicken, brown rice, lentils, and tzatziki were quite good. They charge for pita bread so skip the hummus, it won't add anything. They had some juices & unique sodas at the fountain and although I just got Mexican cola it was good, also. They need to train their people (including managers) on the proper use of gloves. If you wear your gloves into the dining area, touch stuff all over the place (i.e. filling the ice machine from the big clear ice bucket thing, or grabbing trays, using the cash register), then when you go back behind the counter to make food, CHANGE YOUR GLOVES, IDIOT! You are not wearing gloves to prevent your hands from getting dirty. Food was good (minus the sad pita strips), but who knows what sickness you'll get from the bad practices here. Visited at 7:20 pm on a Tuesday night. They were out of steak even though they told someone it would be ready in 15 minutes. After they waited they were informed that they wouldn't be cooking any more steak. After I ordered they announced they were out of chicken. They ran out of potatoes and we had to wait 6-7 minutes. Service was terrible for the most part. Only one person on line (occasionally one at register but she got big breaks because line was so slow. People standing in line for 15-20 minutes. Every time items are missing. No dressing, missing, pita crisps. Missing free pita. When we mention it, the employees say nothing and just the missing items in the bag. You have a good product. The last time, a week or so ago, there was no ice and all the fresh drinks were out. Tonight, there are no pita, pita chips, FORKS, minimal food toppings and no ice. This location used to be full at dinner. Tonight there were two tables. I paid $34 for two people to eat salad with a spoon and drink luke warm tea. Not expecting full blown customer service, but at the beginning of the line I said "Hi, how are you?" and the response was "What do you want" bluntly without saying anything in response to me. The pics do not do it justice but this Spicy lamb pita was so darn good! It was packed with all the veggies (cabbage, pickled onion, tomato, cucumbers, pickles, cilantro like dressing mix) I think I got it all? Oh and hummus lol. Yum yum all toppings went exactly how I would want all while feeling the nourishment. The pita bread felt so easy to digest and super filling in a good way. IGNORED WHEN WE TRIED TO ORDER: We tried to order lunch today at about 1pm. We were totally ignored by the lady behind the counter. There was no one else on line. She ignored us and was filling up one empty container. The cashier told us to "go to the end and order from her".
