Everything felt well prepared, and there was plenty of food for cost. The service was also great and made the whole experience even better - waiters kept an eye on the table and made sure we were taken care of. The interior has a really nice atmosphere replicating a Mediterranean vacation that feels perfect for a date night or a special occasion where you want to feel like escaping normal life. It has a more polished feel without being uncomfortable or overly formal - but I'd always recommend dressing up a little to make it special. I'd definitely come back and would recommend it if you're looking for a good Mediterranean meal in a nice setting!

I went to Ava last weekend and I'm going to give it 3 stars. Here's why: The dining room was…read moreuncomfortably hot. With multiple fans running throughout the space, I initially wondered if the restaurant was leaning heavily into an open-air Mediterranean aesthetic. As the meal progressed and the room grew stuffier, I asked our server, who explained and apologized that the AC system had gone down. Dining at this price point in Florida heat without climate control is rough, and it definitely detracted from the overall comfort of the evening. That said, the kitchen and floor staff nearly salvaged the experience. Our server was exceptional: attentive, deeply knowledgeable about the menu, and fluent in describing both the preparations and flavor profiles. The food was uniformly strong. We started with the complimentary lavash, which arrived crisp, well-seasoned, and salty enough that the table immediately ordered seconds. The spanakopita was a standout departure from the standard layered pie: presented as a delicate phyllo spiral packed with high-quality feta and spinach, balanced by mixed greens and golden raisins on top that added a bright, welcome contrast. For the main, the black truffle risotto was the highlight of the night. Rich, savory, and deeply umami, with perfectly executed rice texture. Paired with a glass of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, it was a flawless course. We closed with the crème brûlée; it was standard, predictable fare, but cleanly executed and satisfying. The culinary execution and service are easily five-star caliber. Once they have the HVAC issues sorted out, I will gladly return.

Lale is a small, cozy restaurant with the most delicious food. I am a huge fan of Mediterranean food, but had not had Turkish food before. I ventured to try out a few new things and everything was stunning. Fan favorites for me and the table included the mixed grill (even though it says serves two, if you order appetizers it can absolutely serve 3), the hummus (truly some of the best I've ever had), and the Kunefe. The Kunefe - oh my goodness - it's like nothing I've ever had before, but our table devoured it and stated that they just found their new favorite dessert. The service is attentive and you can tell that there is a lot of love put into the food that is served to you. I look forward to returning many, many more times in the future!

There was also indoor seating and it was decorated nice on the inside. The service was also incredible. My sister got the gyro and enjoyed it! The baklava was just ok but it was my first time trying so it's possible I just am not a fan. They have a small parking lot but there should be plenty of parking along the lake. I asked upon entering about the authenticity of the Greek Potatoes (which I really enjoy at Santorini's and at The Acropolis) . When my waitress came around I reiterated how I was looking forward to the Greek Potatoes and what would she recommend to go with them. I told her I was not interested in any other carbs so bring me her recommendation with veggies and whatever comes with it that she thinks would be good for me. She came back and said I HAD TO pick soup or salad - something we had discussed that I didn't want. Just the yellow potatoes & veggies if she had any that weren't all carbs. 1/2 way through the meal I asked her if there was a reason I didn't get my Greek Yellow Potatoes: this is where things went wrong. She said she was sorry that that was "her bad." As I was about to leave she said she was going to have to Add Another charge for my potatoes. 5.27 - I gave her my reasonable objection and she still said she was sorry that she forgot them but was still going to have to Charge ME. NEEDLESS to say I will not be back nor will I recommend. It was just me. $24 for the lunch special and I believe I was clear with "what does that include" and "can I forego soup and salad and substitute something else." I reiterated my objections to staff as I was leaving and retracted tip and did not order my cookies. I was calm and polite. But I felt unwelcome and cheated. Nobody tried to fix this. No bread of any kind was included and she was sure of that tho at the time all I had were a few canned green beans in sauce with nothing to use to push them onto my fork. Okay - but I could use my Potatoes for that but they were not here.

Y'all know me though....always give places more than once to woo you. It's only fair.
