The food here is really good, everything's tastes fresh. However, there is always an inconsistency of portions and a lot of times the items are low; they're either scrapping the bottom or having to go behind them for more. Most of the time the speciality drinks are low or completely out. Always seem to be out of my favorite drink, the cucumber one. I've given this location 3 chances and they've failed miserably every time. Whoever is in charge really needs to rethink their career because you can tell these kids aren't getting the proper training needed that upholds Cavas standards. Employees are so rude and will roll their eyes for anything. Cross contamination everywhere in the kitchen, trash overfilled, every table was dirty. I understand Cava gets really busy but all of this could be avoided if employees weren't too busy messing around in the back. I would just like to say how sweet the people are here, and to the nice man that helped me tonight! I came at 11/18 at around 9:30pm, and I had just finished my shift at my job. To be honest, I had an absolutely horrible day at work and was bawling my eyes out before coming in. I went in and my order was taken by two realllllly nice people. But the man that had helped finished up my order and took my payment was an absolute gem. I work in the food industry as well, and after a long bad day he was so nice and cheerful that it had turned my whole day around. Ok the line was super long and all the workers were pretty slow. The line was just getting longer and longer. When I walked in Bryon was cleaning tables but when he saw the line get longer he went to work at the assembly line. After only hearing good things about this place for many weeks, I finally made my way here on a Thursday late morning. The line was long, probably 40 people deep. It started all the way from the entrance. It took almost 45 minutes to finally make it to the front. So it gave you a very long time to check out the menu. By the time I got to the front, there were maybe another 30 or so people behind me. Speaks to the popularity of this place, but man, did the line move slowly. Probably had to do with the fact that there's only 2 to 3 people working the line. And if you order a preset item, they had to look up how to make it on their flash cards which really slowed down the process. Also they have a build your own bowl or wrap, but you couldn't see the options, because it's not on the wall, until you get to the counter where they have all the different options, base, protein, sauce, etc. on small flashcards at the front. The actual food was really good. I ordered the balsamic date chicken. Which was amazing!! So many colors!! Tasted fantastic!! Slightly sweet but not overly sweet. Very filling. And somewhat "healthy." Everything works well together. Comes in a bowl that's a little too big. Really makes it look like there's not enough food in it. I would suggest getting a smaller bowl for it. My friend got a wrap to go. It was so messy to eat by hand. Not like a burrito that's tight and well wrapped. But the flavors were good too. They had these fresh seasonal juices too. I got a apple one. It was way too watered down. Wasent good at all. I may just go with water next time. In summary, this place offers really tasty dishes. It's like a Mediterranean Chipotle where you can pick and choose what you want. Or go with a preset bowl or wrap. Line this time around was way too freaking long, which made the wait way too long. The food is great and I always would like to get Cava but one thing I noticed over the past few months is that the customer service did go down and they always run out of items. The consistency is never the same. Sometimes you get a lot and sometimes you barely get a filled bowl especially when you order on the app. If you do order through the app, expect half of the time for your order to not be ready on time. I get waiting like an extra 5ish minutes maybe 10 for your order after the expected time to be ready but when you have to wait over 25-30 minutes especially after placing your order way ahead of time is unacceptable. All I know is that I would like to get Cava more often but I decide not to unless I have a lot of time and expect them to not have all items available. read more

Ordered online to hopefully avoid waiting in line, estimate pickup time was 6:45, didn't actually receive our order until 7:10, keep in mind it was just one bowl. They are extremely busy but it does not appear they have enough staff or the properly trained staff to handle the demand. The person making the online orders was clearly new and with visible 10 to go orders pending should have been helped out. The restaurant also was a bit dirty and the bathrooms even worse. Everyone raves about Cava and I get it, the food is really good. The service...eh. I've always heard it's the service that kills it for Cava and it cane be hit and miss. We came for the first time and I was so excited to try it. They ran out of the option I wanted so I had to do a bowl option, which is fine. The different personalities from the staff made me feel like I was going through the stages of a breakup. Started off friendly and great, then I get to the meats and the worker couldn't care less. By the time I got to the veggies and sauce I felt completely ghosted with silence at the end, like dude it's my first time here, I'm just trying to figure out your menu and get my food. They were out of something else I wanted so I asked for extra hummus instead. Was I charged extra for it? I don't know. I honestly don't even know what I was charged because they never gave me a receipt and just shoo'd me away to get to the next person. The guy at the register was kind of an ass. I think we were charged more than we should have been because for two bowls of something my mom can make at home for Sunday kebab dinner just wasn't worth the $40+ we paid. Also didn't help this location was packed and LOUD with a bunch of teens and just annoying people. We decided to sit outside, because it was just way too loud. When we finally ate, the food was magical. I loved it and especially their drinks. Other places just tell me to wait without any reason. It's so unfortunate. I had such a negative experience at this location because in prior instances it's been a good experience. I understand that they had a high influx of orders however, if they see that is occurring, they have to be proactive of what they're going to do . I placed an order to where I waited over an hour to hear back only to be given excuses. At one point an employee took names however they took names based on who got to them first and not in the order that orders were placed. Ultimately leading to guests who had places for a later pickup time to get their order sooner than those who had an earlier pickup time. Not to mention, I noticed aggression from staff, whether it be between each other or towards guest. Which was unfortunate to have witnessed from both one staff member stating "you placed your order five minutes ago there's no way it's going to be ready " and kept making disgusted faces. To another who would passive aggressively tell their coworker "I heard you the first time" when they're called asking for support. After this, that same employee that was passive aggressive with her coworker began to have a personal conversation with another worker about bubblegum right at the register , which would only fuel frustration from their guest . Poor team management, lack of customer service, poor collaboration, and poor work ethic at this location today. This place is poorly managed. Came on a Thursday evening (7pm) and they had zero protein options. Even the braised lamb was offered only with a waiting time of 25 minutes. Also their salad options were depleted and kept in disarray. Unsurprisingly I was also never told about the "free" pita. Obviously, staff is overwhelmed and/or very unmotivated. To say I'm obsessed would be an understatement. I LOVE Cava and I was so excited that they finally came to Rancho. I've been here twice in the last two weeks and have to control myself to not visit even more times. The first time I came with my friend during lunch on a Saturday (8/19) and the line moved fast and efficiently. We told them it was our first time so they were very patient with us and both of our bowls turned out amazing! I visited again on Friday (8/25) with my fiancé and definitely caught the dinner rush around 615 pm. The line was long but was moving. However, I felt a little rushed and didn't get a chance to add dips to my bowl, we were just kind of hustled down the line. I asked for both grilled chicken and roasted veggie in our bowls and were told it would be "extra" even though they offer the option of doing half and half...The chicken was also slightly burnt and I didn't see all of the toppings available so I'm not sure if they were refilling or had run out. We paid for our meals and didn't notice until we were almost home that they didn't give us our FREE pita bread, which was disappointing. My bowl still ended up being delicious but I didn't appreciate being hustled through the line and some of the staff members' attitudes. The place is new, it's busy, the food is delicious, so maybe try to be a little patient as people discover the magic of Cava. It won't stop me from coming back here and I hope it'll be a better experience. read more

It was my first time ordering takeout from any CAVA location and I like it! I got a customized salad bowl and it was very tasty! I'll return again for sure! I was there on an early Friday evening in mid-August and it was quite hectic. I had ordered online, but it took longer than the ready time and the employee forgot my two dressings, which I had to tell her about and she even said she didn't see any dressings on the order receipt while she's looking right on the paper! Also, I ordered two proteins, but for one of them, they only gave me two meatballs. The Skhug, garlic dressing, red pepper hummus, and crazy feta were all flavorful! The food servers were excellent in providing assistance and suggestions on what to add in your bowl after you've chosen your protein. I got the spicy lamb meatballs (extra 2 pcs) with basmati rice, leafy veggies and requested to add au jus of the meatballs with all the toppings and their house sauce. First time eating here and I was really disappointed by how many items they were out of. I had really been looking forward to trying this place out. The worst part was that I didn't know they were out of falafel until I had started creating my bowl and I'm a vegetarian. I was only able to get roasted vegetables. My husband ordered a chef curated pita and it wasn't until the very end that they informed him that they were missing two items for his pita! Fortunately, the flavors are good, but they should have informed us at the beginning of missing items. We strongly recommend that management have a board up and list the missing items. In our case they were missing 5 items that caused our meals to be very incomplete. We would have not waited in that terribly long line had we known we couldn't get what we came for. If you're going to eat here, probably ask the first person up front what's missing so u don't become disappointed like we were. read more

I usually have a good experience however the Girl at cash register was arguing with and talking down to an employee that seemed to be stocking up things. This was around 9:10PM. I got in line to get my food around 9 but they were out of something I requested, neither of the people acknowledged me, instead they paused everything and argued and went off to find it together. This held up the line and the process for like 5-7 minutes. It turned out they were out of what I wanted anyways. Restaurant was a mess. Felt uncomfortable for myself, other customers and obviously other team members based on their reactions to witness the argument between the two.
