Located in the busy food hall HAVEN CITY MARKET in Rancho Cucamonga. Its actually situated towards the back. There is plenty of parking but it gets very busy in the evenings and weekends because of the variety of food choices. There are plenty of tables but if you're a large group, have a few people sit at your table while the rest of your group goes to order the food. At Baba K, the menu was what you would expect from a Mediterranean restaurant with a good amount of choices. The prices are slightly higher than other restaurants that also serve Mediterranean food, but its expected due to its location. I got the filet mignon meal which consisted of large pieces of filet mignon situated on a bed of rice. It came with a salad (pretty tasty), a piece of pita bread, hummus and I chose tabouleh (a finely chopped parsley appetizer) as my side. The meat was cooked to a nice medium rare and was tender. The rice was good. Actually, my whole meal was good. I will definitely be coming back to Baba K. read more

We love this place! The female who took the order over the phone was very nice and patient. The place is clean. The food is really good! We love their chicken kabobs and rice. Not sure if it was an off day, but the beef shwarma wrap was not very appetizing. The beef itself was very dry and lacked any kind of seasoning. Staff is friendly. Food is made fresh to order. I ordered the (1) chicken kabob plate with double salad. It comes with (probably the best hummus I've had) and a warm pita. The single kabob was plenty for me. I cleared my entire plate and was stuffed to the brim! There are a few tables and chairs reserved for Baba K, otherwise plenty open seating int he surrounding area. My daughters and I were at Haven City Market on a Monday night. It wasn't too busy. We wanted to try something different. I've been wanting to try Baba K Mediterranean foods for a while now so here was our chance. We got the chicken kabob plate. Funny, receipt says "kabab", but menu says "kabob"... I guess it doesn't matter. It all means the same thing. We waited for a little bit actually, but it was well worth the wait. Chicken was very moist and tender... seasoning was on point. Tumeric rice was soft and fluffy. Btw, you can get fries instead of rice. Salad with citrus dressing was refreshing. Hummus was surprisingly smooth and very yummy. White onions had some seasoning on top of them that I still don't know what it is... it was good though. Garlic paste was delicious. Pita bread was okay... it appeared to have come out from a pre-packaged bag... wished it was homemade. Overall dining experience was wonderful. Staff was nice. Prices are reasonable. They have designated tables for Baba K customers only. They were kind to allow us to eat other foods here, too. Yes, we ordered from 3 other food vendors, too LOL. Thank you! The fries are cooked to order, so it was piping hot when the plate arrived. Chicken is piled high over the fries, and comes with a side of pita, salad, and hummus. The portion size is generous for the price. I thought the meat was on the drier side, which is why I took off a star. The fries themselves are unseasoned. I feel if the chicken is served on top of fries, then it needs to be saucy enough to drench and flavor the fries. Otherwise, I would serve the fries on the side and season them separately. The person cooking confirmed it would be a 10 minute wait, 35 minutes later we hadn't received anything. I went to ask for a refund, because we had to start lining up for the show, and the person that told us it would be 10 minutes looked at my receipt and said, "This was a long time ago." and then told me that it had never even been made. Two medium rare and one medium. Great size, but it was totally flavorless. Absolutely no seasonings on it at all. Just plain meat that probably could have been cooked better at home. Although small, the hummus was pretty good. Also, get the side of garlic, which is fantastic. Doubt that I will return seeing how i paid $22.99 geeze... just say $23.00 and add the penny on. I thought the food here was alright! The chicken was dry and bland. Some of the lamb kabob pieces still had the chewy silver skin on it that should've been cut off. The kafta was the safe menu item and was seasoned well. I liked the portion sizes and the rice was tasty. The customer service is fine nothing to complain about there because she was helpful to tell me what was in my food but the problem was the wait. I had to wait 30 minutes for a SALAD. Now I understand from a certain standpoint wait times can vary depending on what u get and how busy it is but there was no people there and they didn't seem like they cared and no urgency at all how long I was there for. There was also a person that ordered 5 minutes after me and she got her food first as well which annoyed me as well. The food was fine, although a bit sour she did tell me there was lemon so no complaints for the actual food but the portion size is absolutely ridiculous.
