CAVA is a great spot for a quick, fresh meal! The ingredients tasted fresh, there were plenty of toppings to choose from, and it's easy to customize your bowl just the way you like it. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was clean with a modern atmosphere. The only reason for 4 stars is that some of the flavors didn't stand out as much as I expected, but overall it was still a tasty meal and I'd definitely come back. read more

I feel like it's a hit or miss at this Cava location. You will either go in and find that there's plenty of food items to choose from to put in your bowl or it's very limited. Anyways! I've dined in and I've also ordered through the app. I ordered the steak + harissa. The food was okay. However, the wait time to pick up my meal was atrocious. I'm not sure I'll ever come back to this location. read more

Love the food and the specific cool vibe and ambience that is the brand of this company. However you can't enjoy it when there are 2 music sources. Chill curated playlist up front, loud blasting reggaeton and rap coming from the back. Obnoxious music is bad enough but two competing beats at once while you're trying to enjoy your food is worse. read more

Great Mediterranean veggie bowl with loads of vegan options. Many choices of seasoned meats for my other family members. Lots of cooked veggies with base of rice and salads and great choice of dressings. I didn't like their falafels but I'm picky about that. Everything else was yummy and I've been there a few times. Service was fast and friendly. Interior was clean with lots of tables and easy parking. read more

Everything I ate, was up to my standards I do wish the portions were a bit bigger. The price was fair. The service is very nice. They do want to make sure that you are enjoying your time and the food. Very attentive, but not overbearing This is pretty new they do have a robot. If you do not want the robot it's just because they're being a bit high tech. The robot serves you, but the server is there Enjoy some of the pictures. There is plenty of parking to. I'm here December 25 Christmas. They are open until 10 PM. read more

There are a few CAVA locations and this one is located right in Melville Mall. This is like Chipotle or CoreLife where you can build your own grains bowl or salad bowl or greens and grains bowl but with mediterranean options. I chose to build my own grains bowl. First, you will choose your grain bowl base: saffron basmati rice, brown basmati rice, black lentils, or RightRice. I chose the saffron basmati rice. Next was choosing dips and spreads. I chose the traditional hummus, crazy feta, and tzatziki. You get a scoop of these. Next is mains and I chose the spicy lamb meatballs. The spicy lamb meatballs was not spicy and a little dry inside, but with everything mixed it in it felt less dry. Second to last was toppings. I chose the fiery broccoli, fire roasted corn, salt-brined pickles, and tomato + cucumber. Lastly, is choosing a dressing. I chose the yogurt dill. I felt like my bowl was drowned in yogurt dill sauce and wish it wasn't. I wasn't able to really try the dips in my bowl. There is seating inside and outside. Inside there are tables and countertops. Since it was raining outside, we sat inside and it wasn't too crowded inside. The meal was very filling. Service was quick and the line kept moving. Next time, I would say light on the sauce. read more

I love CAVA but this location leaves a lot to be desired. They are extremely busy and always out of essential ingredients. Staff seems overworked to the point where they cannot meet customer demands. Great food but I think this location could benefit from more staff/better overall management. Happy there is a CAVA in Suffolk though! read more

Food is always amazing and filling I love to get it whenever i am near one. You won't be disappointed.

I order carrots on the app and every time I get fried pita chips instead. Also There are shelves for pickup orders, they don't use it anymore. It forces each person with an online order to bother the food preparers to individually get your order. Very inconvenient. read more

I have not been to Cava since they opened, now I know why. Ordered online falafel pita and 2 falafel bowls. The app gave me a time when the order would be ready. We arrived to pick up our order and we were told five more minutes by the time we got our order it was actually 15 minutes later. The place is a zoo, dirty with tables, not cleaned there is not enough help. When we went home and had our falafel's, they were horrible three small falafel's in the pita with the rest being stuffed with cheap salads. Even the bowls were lacking falafel flavor. It was more like eating a cheap salad. Will not be going back. read more

Stopped by for dinner and grabbed the Harrisa chicken bowl which was good. A bunch of different flavors. Paired with some pita chips. It's very filling, The service was good, there wasn't much of a line, but I can see this place being pretty busy during lunch time. It looks like they have a robust online order system for those looking to grab and go. It's giving sweet green or chipotle vibes with slightly higher prices. This might be the first CAVA in Suffolk county. read more

Great place for a quick bite that gives you each food group in a bowl, like the Mediterranean Chipotle. I've been to a few different Cava locations and this one is consistent with the others. The staff was helpful and friendly, there was a mistake with my order and they fixed it right away and didn't make me feel awkward about it. The place itself is mostly clean, but if you come during a peak time you may need to wipe down the table before you sit. I had the Harissa Avocado bowl on this visit, it had just enough heat and the avocado balanced it out. The protein and rice portions were generous and the flavors in the bowl all complimented each other nicely. Convenient way to get good quality, healthy food, fast. read more

CAVA - Harissa avocado bowl - Mediterranean Near Me - Melville, New York

Ordered some takeout lunch from here: the Harissa Avocado Bowl. App was super clean and easy to use so I could order in advance. Wish they offered some sort of deal for signing up like most other places do. A few other restaurants share the parking, so it can be tight during peak lunchtime on the 110 corridor. Flavors were on point for the Harissa Avocado Bowl. Some decent spice, and just full of different flavorful taste explosions that jump out at you. Could've probably filled it a little more. Wish the side pita was a full pita that was actually on the side. Was pretty expensive ($18+) for a lunch bowl, but everything is these days. Walked away feeling like I did something healthy today. Interior is clean and new. Lots of seating, but feels like a chain (cause it is one). Staff was happy and helpful. read more

The best *Frecia ! I come almost every day ! Best food great quality friendly people !

I give Cava a 3.5. It wasn't bad but it wasn't particularly great either. I had the Harissa Avocado bowl. It was ok but cost almost $20. It certainly wasn't worth what I paid for it. Sweet greens is just as good & has a better price point. Idk, it wasn't bad but definitely not worth what I paid for it. read more

It's sad how downhill this location went. I stick to the Westbury location from now on. The work ethic of the workers here is terrible. I was excited to hear that a CAVA location was opening up nearby. I visited one of their locations in Manhattan several years ago and enjoyed my meal there. My co-workers and I decided to make a pick up order and do a picnic outside since it was a nice day. Ordering on the website was straightforward and easy. There are options for customization of some dishes. Pre-payment via credit card. The orders were ready at the time that we specified. My strawberry citrus drink was pre-filled, but there were several choices of fresh juices to choose from self serve dispensers when you arrive if you order the fresh juice option. Eco-friendly plant based forks and paper straws were conveniently next to the pick up area to grab, although I would have preferred if the forks were individually wrapped. I had a Harissa Avocado Bowl. It was a great combination of fresh ingredients. Spice level was comfortable as the Harissa seasoning was definitely present, but there was no urge to guzzle down a drink to cool off. The pickled onions and feta cheese contrasted well with the Harissa. The bowl was $15, but it was worth it for the quality of ingredients and portion size. It could have easily been two meals. Strawberry citrus was delicious and not overly sweet or sour. I will definitely return to try more of what CAVA has to offer. read more

I ate at CAVA for lunch near my office in Jersey City frequently, so needless to say I was beyond excited when I saw this Melville location open. It's been over a year since I ate this Grains and Greens bowl of goodness, and let me say it did not disappoint! It was packed with all my fav ingredients and so fresh and delicious. My only complaint is that they changed the free pita bread that comes with the bowl. I'm not sure if it's just this location or all CAVA's, but the old one was way better. Other than that, I loved every bite and can't wait to head back for more! read more

Michael had really great customer service. He helped ring me up for my food, a really friendly guy. As this was my second time here, I was more open to trying more flavors - and it still didn't disappoint. They give you such a big bowl, and their food is 100% better than Chipotle will ever be. Also, they have a wide variety of drink options! This place has a decent amount of seating. And a shared parking lot that is full of chaos. I went to the bathroom this time around and expected it to be disgusting - shockingly it was so much cleaner than I thought. Not exactly sure why this place doesn't have as many stars on Yelp as it's worth - but don't let that fool you, give it a shot. read more

So to start the food was very good; the issues were the staff and the cleanliness of restaurant. I've been there 4 times now in last few months; every time there is food all over the floor and unkept tables - really not a welcoming environment at all. Separately; I appreciate all cultures but the staff working did not know the menu and spoke almost no English - I asked about different dressings and option but the staff member had pointed at the menu sign. The managers here need to get it together - a blemish on a good brand name with good food. read more

Came here on a win with the wife and kids, place was nice and open, clean and the staff were very friendly. The menu is a bit confusing at first and a little overwhelming. After some chatting with the staff we found it was like the chipotle of Greek food. Overall the food was OK, a few options were out of stock which was disappointing, given we were there at 5:00 on a Saturday. This would be a good spot to grab a quick lunch, proportions were generous, and the service was quick. read more

Love the food from Cava but the service isn't consistent. Sometimes the employees are great and other times they're not. For example, when I go, they've given me pitas for free but when my parents ordered for me they skimmed out on half the bowl and didn't give them the free pitas that go along with it. They almost always have some of the toppings out of stock too. At the end of the day the food is good but you just have to get lucky with who's making your bowl. read more

Lots of options similar to Chipotle. A bit intimidating for a first timer, but the staff who helped me was so patient. Granted, it was not a busy time. Lots of dining space and chilled here for a good hour. Would love to come again. read more
