My daughter has been in the hospital for a week and the first thing she asks me to eat is always cava. Yesterday morning I arrived at the location around 9:55 am and I forgot that they opened at 10:00 am but I asked if they could sell me a plate of food for my daughter and I explained the reasons The manager's name was Zulema, I will never forget it because she very kindly explained to me that they were not open but she would still help me. With tears in my eyes I told her thank you because my daughter couldn't eat anything until this day and she woke up asking me for cava. I just want to express thanks for the wonderful service that I received at Cava in Gainesville, Virginia on Friday, July 26, 2019. My daughter has been raving for months about this Mediterranean restaurant where the salads are fresh. Being a vegan I enjoy plant-based foods and look at menus for vegetarian meals. There was a worker named Allie who allowed me to sample some toppings and dressings before completing my meal. She also gave us slices of pita bread. After completing my very large order Allie told me that since this was my first time coming there my meal would be "on the house" and told me to get a drink also. This kind gesture needs attention. They don't actually offer curbside. People parked and left their cars in curbside spots and there was no enforcement to tell folks those are not the point of those spots. Employees use no independent thinking or common sense to check to see if people are outside or waiting, or to even read order names. Management should train employees to actually try to look at the orders literally right in front of them as opposed to getting SUPER defensive. This would have been a fine interaction if the employees hadn't barked at me that nothing is their fault when I just asked for my order that was sitting on the counter in front of them in plain sight read more

I work on Sudley where multiple restaurants are just a minute or two away, instead I drove out of my way 20 minutes in traffic to stop and get some CAVA all because of hoping to see Ms Raquel every time I come she helps me pick the best bowl and even told me that I get a free Pida on the side this last time. The food is great and the rest of the staff is super friendly and take time for my questions on items I've never tried before. I love this CAVA! i am a frequent customer and come to this CAVA (there are CAVAs closer to my home) because of the consistent quality of the food and preparation. More importantly, I come because of the amazing staff.. Staff come and go, but they are all consistently friendly; helpful and top notch.. Too many nice staff members to mention them all, but special recognition to Racquel who is an outstanding employee. The food here is really fanatical, I have yet to taste anything quite like it. The ingredients they use are ALWAYS fresh. I am a bit of a junkie for spicy food, and their Harisa is quite spicy and very tasty. The customer service here is always very nice, and they take the time with special orders, Yanira at the cash register is very sweet and always greets us with a smile. Service and quality is outstanding. I frequently visit this location (usually 1-2 times pre week) and I have always had a great experience. The staff is always very welcoming, kind and helpful even when the restaurant is vary busy during the lunch rush. Today was my first time going in and decided to write a review , the staff was really nice and explained how the food was and what was spicy and what wasn't. Elmer and his staff are so super friendly, the store front as well as actual in store is clean and it is very convenient and fast. What more can you ask for.... I'm a huge chipotle fan and I can't even compare them because it's two different styles but I loved the service, I came in almost closing time and they were still so nice and sweet given the face they were ready to leave.
