Painfully inefficient. The customers suffer by having to spend way too long in line. 35+ minutes is way too long for a quick serve place. One person on the line when there should be 3-4. I hope they get it together. Perhaps they could take some pointers from Fresh Kitchen on how to move a line. Clearly this place has no clue. The seating indoors is inadequate. People are taking up seats while a member of their party waits 35+ minutes in line, leaving people who actually have their food no place to sit. The pita chips were burnt. The cashier asked what meat I got, which I replied chicken. She then accused me of having steak. This shouldn't happen. Perhaps mark the bowl when an upgraded meat is chosen, versus calling the customer a liar. That might make for a better customer experience. read more

Good location, good service. I go to Cava a lot in California and the service there is hit or miss. The service here was great. Seems like they got it together for being rather new. I've been to new Cavas and sometimes they don't have the act together. Once we received our food, it was consistently tasty. 5 stars for the food, but 0 stars for having no respect for my time and for prioritizing online orders. I've been eager to try CAVA for a while--especially after hearing great things about their Mediterranean bowls--but the original Sarasota location was a bit of a drive. When a new one opened right near us, I couldn't wait any longer! We jumped at the chance to attend their pre-grand opening event and finally got to taste everything last night. I ordered the Harissa Honey Chicken protein bowl, and it was incredible--so many bold, complementary flavors exploding on the palate all at once. Truly delicious! All five of our kids polished off their entire bowls, which completely shocked my husband and me. They're usually picky and don't always finish their meals, but every single one of them said they loved what they ordered. And my husband--the ultimate bread lover in our house--couldn't stop raving about (or eating) the warm, seasoned pita. It had this perfect buttery, flavorful seasoning. He went through at least three full servings (each with about 6 pieces) without hesitation! We'll definitely be back--at least once a week--to work our way through the entire menu. It was very busy with a fairly long wait to order, but it was worth the wait. The food was delicious and fresh, a healthy alternative to fast food and the price was more than fair. I enjoyed a "create your own" bowl. Unlike other places, there isn't a limit to the toppings you can choose once you've chosen your base, proteins and dips. The portion size is also generous. Upset I can't give them 0 stars. My wife made an online order at 7:17pm, said it'd be ready by 7:30, we show up and she just stands there and waits with other people in the same position. No one came out and apologized or gave her an eta, just said we're working on it. She finally got our order at 8:25pm, almost an hour after our order was supposed to be ready and all we had was 2 bowls. I also might've had 3 tiny pieces of chicken in my bowl. Service, portions, everything top to bottom was just terrible. I hope they pull it together but I won't be able to pull myself to go back there for a long long time. read more
