Disclaimer, I'm an East Asian and I didn't grow up eating Indian or Nepali food so take my comments with a grain of salt. Lamb curry My friend and I enjoyed it. I bit into some star anise in the dish, and I wished they gave the star anise more time to incorporate into the curry (sauteing longer and toasting it before), as the star anise flavor wasn't really there. I had to bite into the star anise with the sauce to learn about the flavor profile. Eggplant curry I wasn't a big fan of the dish, as it felt a little astringent and bitter at times. I wasn't sure what it was going for, and I wished it utilized more of that umami flavor from the eggplant to elevate the curry. The curry felt a little overpowering. Fish curry As a seafood lover, this was one of the most special curries I have had. The fish was delicate and soft, which was paired well with the sauce. I would get this again. Chicken Biryani We increased the spice for this dish. The portions were huge and we liked it as a base to the other curries and something to eat with the naan. It was not bad. Mutton Momo (Soup) As a mutton/lamb lover, the momos were flavorful and hearty. They were paired with a spicy tomato soup, which felt different but familiar. We loved it. Mutton Momo (Chillied) The momo was sauted and fried at the bottom. It was paired with some bell peppers. This is the kind of dish where you wouldn't be able to stop eating. Loved it. Garlic Naan Hot, thin, crispy. Even though we wished the garlic was more pungent, the texture was great. Gulab Jamun (Fried Ball Dessert) It was our favorite. The syrup was gingery and had a subtle hint of saffron, and it blended well with the fried balls. This hit home. Overall, the food was decent. We will definitely be back for the momo and to try the different curries and biryani.

I found this place that really close to the hotel we were staying at. I initially made a reservation but we had discussed possibly not going so I cancelled the reservation. We ended up going anyways, haha. No reservation. The restaurant is inside the Blackstone Hotel, which was a very fancy looking, high end hotel. The restaurant was not full so we were seated quickly. We got the chicken pinxto (pronounced pin-cho), which is like a skewer and we got the tuna tartare. Both were excellent - especially the sauce on the chicken. For entree, my husband got the Iberico Pork and I got the mixed paella. He really liked his pork - it was tender, flavorful, and a second, I thought it was a beef. The paella was really excellent. I love seafood and I love the rice on the bottom. Despite it being a small, they're quite large so I recommend sharing with someone. Unfortunately, since my husband doesn't like seafood, he wouldn't try any of it. While we don't live in Chicago, I would definitely recommend to the out-of-towners in search of good Spanish cuisine.

The bacon wrapped figs and chicken pinxtos were not very good, and the patatas bravas really could have used some salt. Get the sangria roja! Overall, a decent dinner, but would likely not return.

We kept it simple with water for drinks and ordered the chili chicken as an appetizer. It leaned more tomatoey than spicy, with a mild heat level, but still really tasty. For mains, we got the Chicken Madras and Khasi ko maasu (Nepali goat curry), both served with white basmati rice. We also ordered the bread basket, which came with naan, garlic naan, and onion naan. Everything paired really well together, super satisfying with both the rice and naan. The server asked about our preferred spice level for the goat curry, and we chose regular. It actually wasn't spicy at all, which worked perfectly for us. Our total came out to around $80, which felt like a great deal considering how much food we had left over, we packed everything up and basically got dinner out of it too. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for something flavorful but still relaxed. Would definitely come back!
