I've been coming here for a couple of years now and have had all sorts of procedures and cleanings done. Scheduling is easy enough and they remind you of your appointment, it's even fairly easy to reschedule if you are sick and can't make your appointment. I've worth with a couple different hygienist and Dr. Frugoli. The front desk stay is always nice and very helpful as well. Going to the dentist is no fun but they at least make the experience enjoyable. read more

I am currently looking for a new dentist and I was on the phone for all of 15 seconds before I hung up on the receptionist because she was so rude. You are the face of the company and you made me feel like I was annoying you and the fact that I even called was a horrible inconvenience. If that is how you act then I can only imagine how the rest of the staff acts. I didn't even know it was possible to be so rude in such a short amount of time. I absolutely love my dentist. He has great "bedside manner" as well as his staff. They are all very friendly and actually care about me as a person. He is my third dentist since moving to Reno and he is the best. The two I had before really didn't not care about their patients. So I went from two 1 star dentists to a five star. He had to retreat root canals done at both the previous dentists because they didn't go to the tip of the root. I really can't complain about my treatment with Dr. Frugoli. They really care about keeping my oral health. Does your dentist do a complete oral health check? Dr. Frugoli checks for lumps in the throat, mouth, and jaw. He is truly up to date with technology and will continue to be I believe. If you need a dentist go see him! I would drive to Carson to see this dentist. read more

I am writing this review because I feel it will be helpful to those looking for quality dental service and after reading previous reviews voicing concerns, I would like to provide my honest review of this office. When I first came to Dr. Frugoli it was after I suffered very poor dental work in another state. During my first exam I was horrified at how much work needed to be done to protect the integrity of my teeth and the cost was no joke either. Dr. Frugoli and his staff are never "pushy" with what needs to be done.They even provide you with a complete break-down of the work that needs to be done so you can see the cost and plan accordingly. They provide payment options and use of care credit as well. Not to mention they will also do one thing at a time, they do not expect you to come in and have your entire mouth fixed in one sitting... hello! The office staff is incredible and they go above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome and cared for. For example, yesterday my husband accidentally stepped on my retainer and broke it in half. We called the office and they fit me in between patients, sent my retainer to the lab to be fixed (this process should have taken the entire weekend at LEAST), and called me THE SAME AFTERNOON to have it fitted. They fixed my retainer in ONE DAY! Incredible. The entire staff helped me that day and I appreciate them beyond words. Dr. Frugoli is by far the most talented dentist I have ever worked with. His bedside manner is excellent and he makes you feel as if you are part of his family. He's the kind of doctor you know would drop everything to help you when you are in a dental crisis (or what feels like a crisis, ha!). He is as thorough as thorough gets and the work he performs is of impeccable quality. I'm a registered nurse I can tell you that the health of your teeth is more important than you could ever imagine. I'm kind of sad that I even have to leave this review, because I really like the office staff, but I really feel it's necessary. The other reviews here are correct - the staff is pleasant and tends to remember their clientele. The assistants are very talkative and make you feel welcome during procedures. I apologize because this will be a long review, but my main complaint is that this office is FAR too pushy when recommending work, and the doctor seems more concerned with making money than listening to his patients' needs. I had visited this office several times in 2007-2008ish for cleanings. Due to a skiing accident in my youth, I have lots of problems with my front teeth, top and bottom. Dr. Frugoli told me about veneers, and I told him that although that sounded like a viable option for my future, it would not be something I could afford anytime soon. Regardless, the staff would ask me every single time I scheduled a cleaning, "When would you like to schedule an appointment to start your veneers?" This got to the point where it was embarrasing to continuously tell them I could not afford the work. I felt very pressured and therefore stopped scheduling my cleanings, up until this past year when I really needed to go in. I went in this May for a cleaning, and of course they asked again about the veneers. I again told them I could not afford it, and probably would not be able to for at least 10 years. During the cleaning, Dr. Frugoli told me that one of my front teeth that previously had a root canal needed a re-treat. Ok. I made an appointment for a cold test and also for the retreat after that. When I went in for the cold test appointment in late July, both teeth on either side of the one in question were tested - they did not respond on the front, but did exhibit a delayed response on the back. Dr. Frugoli said we would need to keep an eye on these teeth, but at this point they were ok. I went in again in mid-August to complete the retreat, however Dr. Frugoli stated he was unable to complete it and had to do it in two sessions. I was surprised at this because he didn't even look at my tooth before deciding he couldn't finish it. Then he proceeded to cold test the two surrounding teeth again, except this time he only tested the front and immediately concluded that both of these teeth would also need root canals. WHAT?!?!? Two weeks ago he had tested the backs of the teeth and said that wasn't necessary, but this time he didn't even test the back??? I was very suspicious at this point. They finished my "half root canal" as I like to call it, and brought me up to the receptionist. She explained that since my root canal wasn't able to be completed today, it would change my treatment plan and therefore the cost estimate. She was unable to give me an estimate while I was sitting there, and said she would email it when it was available. This seemed very strange to me; I was not comfortable with the fact that they began working on my tooth when I had no idea what the cost of completion would be. Regardless, I accepted the fact that the estimate would be emailed to me and explained (again) that I was very tight on funding and needed to know this information ASAP so I could re-budget. They offered to set me up on a payment plan, which was very nice of them, but I also explained that when my dental benefits renew in January, I would have much better coverage and would prefer to wait on any additional work. When I received the estimate via email, I was honestly shocked. They had set up a 5 appointment treatment plan for me, and not until appointment 5 were they planning on finishing the tooth they started on. The first appointment on the treatment plan was to begin root canals on the other two teeth. The total of this treatment plan was almost $3500!! How many times have I told this office that I cannot afford huge amounts like this??? To top it all off, they had already scheduled me an appointment for these two root canals that I clearly told them I was not ready to proceed with. Also, they billed my insurance for an "emergency treatment" - there was no emergency whatsoever. I had a scheduled appointment for a root canal re-treat, which should not have been billed PERIOD until the re-treat was completed. I went to an endodontist (a root canal specialist) for a second opinion several days later. Not only were those other two root canals unneccessary at the moment, but the endodontist stated that it may even be dangerous to start a root canal on one of the teeth because it looked as if it were calcified. Dr. Frugoli could have put me into a whole new world of trouble with my teeth by starting this like he wanted to. Now that Dr. Frugoli has used up the majority of my dental benefits by billing for "emergencies" that never existed, I will be paying mostly out of pocket for the endodontist to finish my re-treat. I've never really had an excessively bad experience in this office but consistent over billing and an atmosphere of arrogance and pushiness has always rubbed me the wrong way. I'm happy to leave this office and will recommend you look elsewhere if you have options. read more

Dr. Frugoli is a dentist that really knows his profession! Not only is he a great dentist, he also makes you feel very comfortable and has a great personality, how many Dentist's do you know of that make you laugh and care about your teeth!? I have a teenage daughter that enjoys going to see Dr. Frugoli and Staff and looks forward to her appointments, whether it's getting wisdom teeth pulled out or simple cleanings! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Frugoli...at least go check out the office (beautiful & very comfie... Lots of snacks and good coffee's..warning you may fall asleep on the Big comfie sofas while watching TV next to the fireplace!!) the staff that will make you feel like you've them for years! This office and it's staff are truly amazing and so comforting. I recently have moved and although I needed to find a dentist, a tooth problem led me to the urgency. Their office is open, clean, and with the best technology. Dr. Frugoli was so nice and through and knowing my past stories of bad dentistry he truly accommodated me. Upon my return visit, I walked into the lobby and they didn't even have to ask my name ...but led me to my room. I do not deal well with the anxiety of dental visits and my extraction went amazing! I left feeling very good, it was quick and 12 hours later I still feel very good. I have made my follow up appointment, my sons consultation and my husbands. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE!! read more

Went in for some X-rays and such. Doctor Frugoli took an extra 15 minutes filed down a chip in my mouth so I was more comfortable. Amazing bedside manner. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a real dentist with a great staff. read more

My experience with Dr Frugoli was very bad. Dr Frugoli charged for dental work not done. Dr Frugoli's treatment plan for me was $54,000.00. That included ripping out ten healthy teeth. I got a second opinion. No teeth had to be ripped out! read more

This dentist is about money money money. The staff is couteous and friendly. Frugoli must be related to bella lugosi as they are both blood suckers. My aged father who has a terminal illness was he needed an unbelievable amount of work done. When he asked if they could do what is essentillal frugoli said no, it would put to much stress on the other teeth. Total Bullshit. Dr. Frugoli has been my dentist for over 20 years. He is the only one I trust. He always takes great care of myself and my family. He even came in on the day after Christmas to give me a root canal, since I was suffering from the pain. He is the only one I trust to take care of my son with his braces. He is always kind and fair. The staff is always helpful with my needs and questions about insurance. Going to the dentist is not something that I always look forward to, but I am never worried because I know my family is getting the best possible care. read more
