His in-person classes are meditative and a good internal workout at the same time, the way taijiquan should be. His attention to his students is laser-focused, and his hands-on corrections are frankly surgical. Eduardo has trained under the Chen family - the creators of Taijiquan - and this clearly shows in the calibre of his teaching. He has deep knowledge of Chinese medicine and philosophy, which is not common for the average Taijiquan teacher. His instruction is of the highest calibre to be found in Ottawa, and his fees are incredibly reasonable for the level of his teaching. If you are more sat set having a mindful experience, there is slower flow yoga classes that are geared more toward stretching. As someone who considers traditional yoga a little bit too slow for my liking someone who cant sit still, I would really recommend the ritual classes. These classes are a mix of HIIT like movements with yoga stretching. Imagine yoga mixed with 80s aerobic classes. Would come back for sure. I normally don't prefer hot yoga but if I lived here, this could be my go-to! Hot yoga classes I've taken elsewhere in the past were usually too slow for my liking (I guess to compensate for the heat). Pure is hot but not too too hot and the classes had some oomph. I had a different instructor every night and they all gave great cuing and sequences. Great job!
