They were able to respectfully and kindly make all arrangements over the phone. When they reviewed the costs and contract with my sister, she felt compelled to confirm the prices with them three times as their costs were exponentially lower than the other local funeral homes. After the cremation process, which occurred in a timely manner, their staff shipped my nephew's cremated remains to us. They shipped the cremated remains in a well-packed and secured container. They took care in their efforts and we are incredibly grateful for all that the staff of Green Hills Crematory has done on behalf of our family. They helped lighten our burden in our hours of grief. It was a beautiful day of discovery, laughter and sentimental stories. Prior to visiting the Cemetery we met with one of my Grandfather's distant cousins and were told that this cemetery was not well maintained. The portion where We were searching for my ancestors was very old and more care would be appreciated. My grandfather's distant cousin told me he used his own push mower to clear some areas and found Anna (Zenkner) Shimek's tomb stone. My family was not successful in finding it again. However, there was a man there replacing old, larger headstones & more elaborate family memorial stones, which had toppled over. He was helpful in finding several other family member plots - for this we were all grateful. The newer plots seemed to be better maintained. I wish that the same respect were given to the older sections of the cemetery.

What a lovely cemetery, even in the dead of winter! If the cemetery is so beautiful on a cold, rainy day, how stunning and peaceful it must be in the spring and summer. There is a Veterans section which prior to Veteran's Day had flags flying on all the stones of the deceased military men and women. There is a "Babyland" section which thankfully looked empty and many of the grave sites had silk flowers and memorabilia of the loved ones who had passed. It is much larger than it looks from the front gate and there is even a small mausoleum albeit an outdoor mausoleum. All in all, it seems as though it is very well maintained, a peaceful and lovingly cared for place to visit your loved ones. Thank you to whomever keeps these grounds so taken care of~

The grounds are covered with dandelions except for a part that is taken care of by a person who has loved ones in that part of the cemetery. I have heard other complaints about the noncare of this once beautiful place when the Newby family cared for it. What has happened? Don't the care givers care?Time to find someone who does care. Our loved ones do not deserve this.
