Everything went well at first, but I'm a bit frustrated. I called beforehand for price estimates…read moreshe was super helpful I explained the situation they told me what they would need to do and rule out. It was until I received the paperwork for the discharge summary. They made several errors, including stating that I said my my cat was bleeding from her mouth she was not. she had a very high fall from a tree and when she ran up while being chased by a dog she ripped all her claws and was bleeding from her feet. She's not an outdoor cat and has only supervised outside time. I didn't say she was bleeding from her mouth, which could affect their care when I walk through the door. I just wanted to rule out her not walking on her feet since I couldn't look at it. I don't have a primary vet due to financial issues and my personal situation, as I'm a young adult. I had to bring her in because she was acting lethargic and mouth breathing and it was past the time vets would be closed. I'm currently taking veterinary assistant classes and am aware of the basic exams required, but my cat wouldn't let me touch her and was extremely frightened, even an hour later. She was mouth-breathing on my bed. There's only so much I can check, like her mucus membranes, eyes and a basic examination but I can't check for broken bones, and I'm still learning. I brought her in because she wasn't acting her usual self. I know my cat best, but she perked up more at the vet. She used to get treats at her old vet every time she went, so she associates the vet with a positive experience, and I'm sure that's why. But I'm frustrated because the communication was lacking but she did fix it when she finally came out to talk to me. They took amazing care of her and were extremely transparent with the cost, always checking in with me before doing anything, and were super helpful with my questions. I would still recommend them just be more thorough with what you tell them I was crying and my phone was braking up so I do blame myself as well but the bill wasn't to bad for those wondering what it cost the medical waste fee is 10$ no clue what that is but the emergency consultation/ physical examination was $189 So at first it was zero because the doctor did not examine her in the room and did it right when I walked in out on the desk, but because she needed X-rays, they charged me that fee which was odd because either way, she was not examined in the room. The radiographs 3 view so chest head and neck is $364 not including the radiograph IDEXX STAT consult they did offer without the stat but I said when you're dropping a grand $65 doesn't really matter still have yet to get them it's been over 4hrs so that was definitely not stat not bothered by it just don't expect your X-rays back quickly and they did an amazing job overall so I'm pleased she's okay and it's small issues not big ones.

We thought the initial (almost $600) visit was handled correctly: we got a health certificate, and they provided a written prescription for Clavamox, advising us to wait for lab confirmation before administering the medication. We got a call to start the 14-day course of medication, which we had filled at a separate dispensary before leaving the United States. Unfortunately, we later discovered Pinehurst *only prescribed HALF the required course of antibiotics!!!* We are now stuck in Whitehorse, Canada, having to postpone a long driving day to Tok, Alaska, to coordinate with a local veterinarian that was willing to provide us with the remainder of the medication we should've been prescribed by Pinehurst. We just needed Pinehurst to email the details and confirm the Canadian clinic had everything they needed to dispense the medication. Unfortunately, when Pinehurst initially emailed the Canadian clinic, they DIDN'T include the prescription details. Pinehurst also told us their clinic's telephone system would not allow them to make an international telephone call to the clinic in Whitehorse, leaving us responsible for correcting another problem Pinehurst created. Given the urgency of the issue and their responsibility for this entire situation, why wasn't someone willing to use their personal phone to make the call? The repeated lack of basic follow-through caused significant stress and disruption to our travel with a sick cat. Would not recommend if you need reliable care or cross-border support.

Back in December my dog had a rapidly growing mass on his front leg, they got him seen and it removed all with in the same day as his appointment! Disclaimer we are from Nevada and his vets down there wouldn't touch it, here they knew exactly how to handle it! Removed it and biopsied it and gave me my peace of mind and my healthy dog back. Next today my other boy got attacked by a rouge off leash dog ripped his front tooth out and left a big ol puncture in the roof of his mouth and they got him in and taken care of better then I ever could have imagined! I live in Nevada and come up every so often to visit my family and I am about to 100% commit to having all of my animals (4 dogs and 2 cats) seen here and make the trek up because they know what to do and handle everything. I absolutely love them here! I got so blessed to have stumbled upon this vet and I don't plan on ever needing a new one! They do it ALL here and in house!

The staff and vet attending him were kind and reassuring and we were on our way in about a hour. Definitely may consider them in the future too!
