I have been here many times so i thought it's time to give a review…read more The food is decent but you really have to know what to order here. I have had nearly everything on the menu but the only things I can say are consistently good with confidence are the chimichanga, fajita and enchiladas. The others are imo subpar to mildly acceptable. The atmosphere isn't that great with drunk people from the bar peering at everyone at the restaurant through the bartender doorway (that has no door) like they are pissed off that people are actually eating there and giving major dirty looks. The tiny 16 year old (?) latina waitress with short hair wasn't exactly friendly and didn't really do the best job. I only had her one time. The rest of the times I was there was an older lady whom was severely miserable and a guy with glasses whom was the son of the owner whom was better at being polite than the other 2 and gave better service. The place is in serious need of a re-model as well and if you are there during the warmer months, you will see many fruit flies and experience a musty smell which they never address. This place has alot of space and so much potential but these people obviously dont feel the need to improve . They are in cruise control mode. Best part is the entree's are very reasonably priced.

We ordered food and drinks etc. one of our dogs did quietly whine and the same woman came over and sternly said we had to leave if she kept whining. There were less than 15 people there, it wasn't loud, and it seemed super over the top to ask us to leave for that. I'm sad because i love this place and i brought my friends to share in it and it ended in a sour ending! The man bartender however, was super nice and made a great spicy margarita!

Love places that offer a flight and the cashier was super helpful with providing recommendations based on m preferences Now the food.....HOLY MOLY! I had the following: - habanero pork taco - cod taco - fried pickles - cauliflower wings (mild and Korean bbq) Every single thing listed was probably some of the most incredible food I've ever had. I was genuinely surprised this random brewing in the side of a mountain really nailed the beauty of Asian flavoring. I'd highly recommend. It was great for our large party of 9 and being able to order at the bar was easy. Staff was very swift too.

We avoided it for a bit because we were put off by the name, thinking it was going to be super gringo Mexican. Not so! As for the prices, it's still cheaper than many of the mediocre American bistros found upstate. We typically order 3 tacos each plus 1-2 sides and are stuffed for ~$60. Try the cochinita pibil and the Tia Flor cocktail..

People love Upstate Taco and I hear rave reviews so not sure if the few times we popped in if it was just bad nights? The ambiance inside and outside are a plus. Counter service with the little buzzers. They have a small menu but tons of specials on the board, but nothing we ordered wowed us. In fact I liked the guacamole, house chips and Horchata the best! All the entrees fell flat. Shrimp tacos were super tiny, did not taste fresh, and honestly ended up dousing them in hot sauce. The poblanos locos were just ok, primarily heavily salty salty salt. The menu also leans generous for veg/pescatarians alike but maybe I'm just ordering the wrong things? Will probably give it another try

Trying corn queso dip, guacamole and smoky salsa. All were decent. Trying corn tortillas and mix and match tacos with options for flour tortillas. I had , beef, pulled pork and tropical chicken and I liked the beef the best. The wife had the vegetarian option street corn and liked it the best. Pulled pork was a little dry. Also there was a Muddy River craft brewery tucked inside. 2 ciders and 9 craft beers offered, all with plenty of percentage of alcohol. I'm sure that when we get back here we will try this little spot again. The staff were welcoming when we arrived and were happy to help. I hope they will keep the corn queso and salads. On the whole the store made salsas were decent and small staff but polite. Food was tasty.

Had the cheese nachos this time as well as our faves from past visits. House-made flour tortilla chips blanketed in Mexican cheeses, black beans, guacamole, pickled jalapenos, tomatoes, lettuce and generous lashings of crema. Most visits we've done take out, but recently we dined in and the dishes and had a great experience too. The front of house and back of house service hustles hard here. Aguas Frescas are delicious and not overly sugary or powdery. And most recently, we had a seafood soup special that was divine.
