She just chose not to believe me claiming that she covered all of my hair and there should be nothing wrong. Thanks a lot for the help. I do not recommend this place. It was pretty close to me and I really wanted to like it, but definitely do not recommend. You don't treat people like that after you mess up their hair. She just kept going on and on with excuses this is just ridiculous. Now I have a chunk of hair missing and she wants to excuse it away. You fried it off my hair with a laser, but yeah, I must just be wrong.. jerks Update it's two chunks of hair, two separate spots but yeah, they just wanna excuse it away . She clearly doesn't know the laser and what it will do to people's hair well enough to be using it. Excuses and bullshit.

I originally purchased a laser hair removal package as a gift for a friend. When the day came for…read morehis appt. I went with him because he was nervous and didn't know what to expect. The business is in a cottage house converted to a commercial space so I was a little unsure when we pulled up. Once we entered, I realized I had nothing to be concerned about. The space is inviting, relaxing, and well kept. Jamie walked my friend through the treatment process and what the expected results would be. I liked that Jamie was direct in a way that was not off putting, instead it made my friend very comfortable with the process. After my friend had a few appts with Jamie I decided to try her for touch ups of an area that I had previously had laser hair removal on. It was a night and day difference in comparison to the big spa chain I had previously gone to. I spent thousands of dollars at the day spa chain compared to Jamie's very reasonable pricing and the results were the same (tip: buy direct, Jamie will give the same price direct that is on G-Pon). I really appreciate the continuity of service seeing the same person for each appt rather than the constantly rotating indifferent staff at the big chain day spa. I've now used Jamie for several face services as well as the laser hair removal so I feel comfortable giving her a solid review. Best of all... Jamie makes product recommendations and instead of it being a big push to sell a brand she offers, they are things she uses and in all cases so far she's told us where to buy them to get the best pricing (yes, she's actually referred me to Amazon more than once). After years of gyms trying to sell me protein bars, waxx studios pushing their "serum", etc. it is really refreshing not to get hit with the up sell. I'm so glad I took a chance on a gift for a friend.

I have tried MANY times to get in contact with this business in preparation for my laser…read moreappointment. But my calls, voicemails and contact us messages on their website went completely. I moved out my appointment even to give them more time. (This is a manual process otherwise I doubt that would have even been an option). I wanted to address old tattoos on my eyebrows. But the prep said no hair was allowed to be in the area. I wanted to speak to someone about that or put my groupon towards another service. After thinking about it, I was wondering why I was trying so hard to work with a provider that clearly does not care about their clients or customer service and realized that that would be the last people I would want working on my face. I wouldn't. Wanted to make sure I gave other customers a chance to find a better provider who cares.

After I did some research on various lasers on the market, I chose Pain Free Laser. They claim they have the best tech and they actually do (!!!) I couldn't find another place in the Portland metro area that had comparable laser equipment. I decided to try laser hair removal at Milan Laser, and overall, I'm happy with the results. I've…read moretried waxing, threading, and electrolysis, and laser has been the most effective for me. Though I understand it is not effective for everyone. The treatments are insanely expensive, so I recommend saving up or opening a new credit card to earn points with your payment. Milan offers "unlimited" sessions (with the asterisk that no longer applies if they go out of business or change their name) per body area (which can be specific or a bundle - full body, lower or upper legs, panty line or brazilian, belly, chest, back, underarms, neck, face, upper lip, etc). I consider the unlimited package an advantage for hair growth driven by hormonal causes as hormones may fluctuate and you may need ongoing touchup sessions. A word of caution that the pain can be intense, especially as sessions go on. I wish they offered a free trial session so people could see if they can handle it before committing. The office here in Beaverton is clean and the staff has been friendly and welcoming. Scheduling is simple but they are quite booked up. I've been going to Blake for almost a year now, and the results have been genuinely life changing…read more I'd tried lasering the same area many years prior, but the results were very temporary and it appeared to make the issue far worse. Later, I tried electrolysis at a different place but the experience was so painful that I found that I couldn't make it through a session. I swore off electrolysis for a while but knew I'd have to try again. Did you know that it doesn't have to be like shooting giant fire needles into your skin? Did you know that if your electrologist pays attention to you and knows their equipment well enough, they can calibrate various things to make the experience more manageable? Blake has been able to dial things in so precisely that while it still hurts to a far lesser degree, I often can just ignore it and get lost in conversation instead. I used to use Lidocaine and ibuprofen, but I don't bother with either anymore. Your mileage may vary with regards to the pain experience, but it's new for me for a professional to not only *notice* and *care* that I'm in pain, but also to take steps to mitigate it as much as possible. Her work is stellar, and she helped me feel safe and comfortable every step of the way. Finally, the results are permanent and this has changed the trajectory of my life in a very real way. 10/10, would be zapped again (if that were necessary).
