I would recommend buying or selling at Cats Exotics. I have done both now. They sold my 1992 NSX for me a little over a year ago. It was perfect they did everything. All I did was drop off the car. This year I purchased a 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo from John at Cats. I don't dress nice at all. Bluejeans and a tee shirt is what I normally wear. John didn't recognize me from the previous year selling my car. I walked in,he was very nice we talked cars for a hour . I told him I was looking for a Gallardo. We talked about the one they had. No pressure I sat in it , looked it over and got it. Couldn't have been smoother. He was so nice some kids came in (about 10 years old) he talked to them , as they were taking pictures of the cars, about different things on the cars. Very cool. Be very careful. Years ago I sold him my Ferrari. I forgot to pull the tag and 8mo. Later I get a toll ticket in the mail. Hmmmmmm. We know that means someone was driving it on my tag. Roy had full control as he owns that place. Gross, very gross. I let that slide and gave him 24 hours to get the tag back and mailed to me. He complied. He offered to pay the ticket but I did. $25 big deal. Tried the other week to sell them my Bentley. They said "we can offer you $140,000 and I agreed. After a week of no e-mails, I demanded and answer and it was...... We are going to pass. Thanks for dragging me a week but no big deal. Tariq from Bentley Chicago bought it in 5 minutes. First review pulled because of complaints from Cats. Lets try again. Visited this store, (Not a Dealership) on August 20th. Parking was easy which was nice, plenty of empty spots. Strolled in and started looking around, was surprised at the lack of Late model cars, most were 2-3 generations old. I was approached by a guy in a baseball cap who apparently worked there, and I asked a few questions. The answers I got were, "what?", followed by "I don't know". No effort was made beyond that. It was silly, left me baffled. Then he just stood there... Assuming a customer isn't there to buy is an idiotic decision, especially given the apparent shoestring of this operation. Guy was rude, distracted to the point of being off-putting, and clearly just didn't want to be doing business. So wish granted, I will take my business elsewhere, and visit a professional operation. read more

This was such a better experience than I even hoped for. I picked up a 2013 GTR from Roy with ZERO hassle. The way Roy and his team do business really redefines what buying anything should be like. Zero pressure, full disclosure, and great communication. There were no surprises and everything was easy from start to finish. I'm looking forward to buying my next car here highly recommend them to anyone looking for an Exotic. Roy and his team made my wife and I feel like members of their family. This was my first exotic purchase and never for a moment did I feel pressured or pushed. They offered advice when it was needed, and let me take my time to make the best decision for myself. Once I purchased my 2003 Murcielago Roy made it clear I could call him personally at any time for any reason, which has made the experience much more comfortable for both my wife and I. Sure enough, a small question popped up my first day of ownership and he replied to me within 15 minutes. I plan to own many more Lamborghinis after this an I hope to purchase them all from Cats Exotics! I finally had the time to write a proper review of my experience with CATS Exotics. Firstly, the selection of cars that they have and seek out is really impressive. I found a Maserati Gran Sport Spyder Anniversary car that they were consigning. Through the whole process John Zuberek worked with me to get a PPI (Pre-Purchase Inspection) done by a local highly regarded Lamborghini shop nearby, Veloce Motorsports. We negotiated a fair price (they made money, I was happy) for the car and started the deal writing process. Now a couple of points of note: 1) John was always great about taking my calls or calling me back within 1 hour 2) I am in Pennsylvania, they are in Washington State 3) We learned along the way that there are some quirks in the Auto Business rules 4) Washington State doesn't allow deposits on a car to hold it, which was nerve racking 5) At no time did I feel anything less than satisfied with the service from CATS They are good guys in business to satisfy and help their customers. Jonathan recently helped me and my dad sell my '72 Chevelle. Although the car is in great shape and was previously purchased at Barrett-Jackson a few years ago, the car's color and its automatic transmission made it difficult to sell on our own, especially in the Bay Area, so we were definitely pleasantly surprised with how relatively quickly Cats Exotics was able to get it sold, and at such a great price too! My dad is a huge classic car collector to say the least and has had a lot of experience with speciality dealerships like Cats Exotics and how slimy dealers can be, but our experience with Jonathan and his business was anything but that. Jonathan is not your stereotypical pushy and arrogant salesperson. He and his team made the process of getting my car sold seamless- in an incredibly friendly, transparent, professional, and efficient manner. It also really says something if my dad (Ted Nugent's clone) really likes a car dealer! I have been looking for an Italian luxury sports car for a while now. I was never in any hurry and knew when I found it I would know. Well, that day came one day when I visited Cats Exotics. I saw the car I wanted and I could not get it off my mind, day or night. I talked to Roy Cats about not being in a hurry and wanting to make sure I made the correct decision when making such a huge investment. He explained the different models and what you would get for what price and was very patient with me over the month while I did my due diligence. This patience, along with his extreme knowledge of the different models, and knowing I was supporting my community, made it very easy for me to give his company the business. Now, even after the sale, Roy has been very supportive with me and my never ending questions on my new car. The entire staff has been professional and knowledgeable. I can't go anywhere without somebody wanting to take a picture or video of the car. It's amazing and grows on me everyday, I don't regret my decision one bit and can see why so many people want to take a picture of such an exquisite, well-build luxury sports car. I discovered Cats Exotics by accident. I had driven by them a million times but, for some reason, thought they were a body shop. Once I realized they sold cars, I started checking their website and it was not long before I found a car I wanted to test drive. Roy was very easy-going and friendly and made no fuss about me taking it out alone to test drive. I said I wanted to think about it (had other test drives scheduled) and he was very low pressure with a "Come back when you are ready" attitude. In the end, I made an offer on the car and completed the purchase with Jonathan's help. Very easy to work with, friendly people and my bank told me they value the car at a significantly higher dollar value than my purchase price. Interestingly, as part of my car-shopping due diligence, I went to the dealership where my husband and I bought our last two cars (Audis) to see about ordering a new one. Though I had set an appointment ahead, the salesman was very dismissive, basically rushing off to a test drive with another customer. I felt brushed off and kind of offended after that. I was ready to order $150,000 car and all I got was "Sorry I have a test drive to get to--here is a brochure to take with you." Roy and Jonathan were the exact opposite - very laid-back, took the time to discuss options with me, just a great blend of friendly and professional. The worst dealer in all of WA State. Lied about history and quality of the vehicle. I agree with the review from Andrew K. Jonathan is very unprofessional and arrogant. Once I drove off the lot I had to take it to a shop to repair. Ended up spending $3,000 more to repair on day one of ownership. They did not want to take care of the issue or even discuss help out the client. They are nice and friendly to the point when the deal is all paid for. No sense of customer service from this company. I am an Executive Assistant who manages all aspects of my boss' business - both personal and professional. When he decided to sell a personal vehicle, I was looking for a reputable consignment business who could manage the vetting of purchasers and sale of the vehicle. I would strongly warn others before dealing with Jonathan Cats, who is the General Manager of this business. He was extremely abrasive and unprofessional. He was rude and condescending and lacks customer service skills to say the very least. I had been in phone/email contact with John Zuberek a few weeks prior to going in to consign the vehicle. It is not an exotic car - just a BMW M5, so one of my first questions was whether or not this met their criteria. John Z said it did and I provided him the VIN number so he could give me an idea of what the car may be worth, view the car history, etc. John Z told me they would love to sell the car, but he was not working the day we brought it in, so we met with Jonathan Cats instead. I walked in with a folder that included every service record, an accident report, all body work that had ever been done, etc. Not a single thing was missing. Things were going fine until he asked my boss specifics about an accident at which point my boss said "which accident?" Jonathan reacted very strongly saying "What do you mean which accident? You know you got in an accident in this car. I need to trust you - I can't trust you if you aren't being honest with me!" To clarify, when asking "which accident?" it was not because he was trying to conceal anything - it was because he had also hit a deer in the car (which the repair records were in the folder we provided as well) and he was asking which incident. Jonathan continued to talk about being completely honest and while my boss owns numerous vehicles and often forgets which things go with which cars, he was never at any point trying to be deceitful - reference back to the fact that we walked in with a folder of everything that had ever happened to the car. After discussion about the vehicle accident and the accident and the deer, we hesitantly left the vehicle with CATS. Later in the evening Jonathan called my boss and said he did not feel he had been truthful about the damage from the deer and again expressed his need to "trust him." Again, the repair record from this incident was in the folder. Following this phone call, my boss called me and told me to go get the car back - he did not care for the tone, the attitude or the way we were being treated as customers. I called Jonathan myself and tried to talk to him about his approach, suggested he try to keep in mind that even if he had concerns to try and address them professionally. After what I felt was a reasonable discussion, I called my boss back and asked that we give them the chance to sell the car. He agreed to let it go 2 weeks as long as I was to communicate with them and he would not unless absolutely needed. This morning Jonathan called and said "Hey - I slept on it and decided we can not sell your car. You need to come and get it right away." I replied and said "You know what, that is fine - we were kind of feeling the same way so I will be up to get it." He said "I don't appreciate your back handed comments! Just come get your car by 3pm." And he hung up on me. Again - there is a way to do things, to run your business and this guy is missing the mark by a long shot. CATS could have easily decided this was not a car they wanted to sell - it could have happened in a respectful way - one that I would feel comfortable referring others to. In fact, I told my Dad about this place last week and he had intended to take a very nice vehicle to them to consing/sell - however after this experience I would never refer them - not for any reason, not to buy and not to sell. I am still taken aback by the way we were treated and the aggressive, confrontational behavior. They had the VIN on this vehicle for weeks - I disclosed the accident at the table before Jonathan even asked. Very unreasonable and disrespectful person. Worthy of mentioning - I ran into a good friend last night, who owns a very high end, highly respected classic car restoration shop in the area and mentioned my experience and that I was feeling uneasy - his response was...You should have asked me about that place - I would have told you not to go there. And that's what friends are for. Check references, read reviews before you take your business somewhere. If I had read yelp and talked to a good friend before going in, I may not have wasted my time. read more

Very disappointing experience with this company. Made an offer via website/email on a car that was accepted by the son. In his email back to me, he said all he needed was the address and phone number I wanted on the bill of sale. As soon as I received the email, I replied with the requested info. I immediately started to make arrangements to consolidate the cash for the wire transfer. I received a reply back that he was out of town for the weekend. I figured no big deal, they appeared to be a professional organization based on their fancy website and that he had communicated that the car was sold. When I contacted him on Monday, he replies back that he was "sorry for the confusion", but his Dad sold the car on Saturday and that his communication was not as "fluid" as normal due to him being out of town. Obviously not an enterprise that values their customers. read more

I have NEVER met such unethical and unprofessional business people as Roy and Jonathan Cats in my life! I put a deposit on a vehicle I found on his website on a price Roy agreed to in writing. They kept the car listed on ebay with a "buy it now" price even after securing my deposit. The exact time my pre-purchase inspector was going over the car it was mysteriously purchased on ebay for a significantly higher price. I emailed Roy the next morning that everything with the inspection looked good and asked for his bank wire transfer information and any additional documentation we needed to complete. He emailed me and told me there was one document that I needed to fax back over. However, someone hit the "buy it now" option on ebay and if I wanted the vehicle I'd have to pay an additional $7K and pay what that "buy it now" price was. Needless to say they are in breach of contract, they also used a bait and switch tactic to attempt to extort more money for the vehicle from me.They've had three similar complaints in the past and warnings issued by the Washington State Dept of Licensing. Now they have another complaint from me filed! BUYER BEWARE! read more
