She is certainly fearful, but under the circumstance I felt like the aggression was a reaction to the pain and stress. She had been spayed and a few of her stitches came apart and she got an infection, obviously she was fearful and in pain. In combination, she is a very fearful dog anyways. At All west, they were understanding of our bad experience and they take things at the dogs pace. I appreciate that they are very upfront and clear about pricing and services. The technicians are patient and helpful, the vet has been amazing...and probably more patient with me! I've been really nervous about getting care for my dog fearing that the veterinarian would be always a terrible experience. They make it positive and we don't avoid it any more! I have nothing bad to say about them. The business, however, is unscrupulous and I will provide concrete examples and receipts. Wellhaven prioritizes line-item price gouging over care. My last appointment lasted a half-an-hour. It covered my dogs annual vaccines, a checkup, a heartworm test, flea and tick medication and a shot for his allergies. In 30 minutes, I racked up a bill of $1,010 (see itemized invoice attached). I spoke with a few dog owner friends. Their annual dog exams with vaccines (PLUS a rattlesnake vaccine), cost around $200. Further, they gave my dog a rabies and DAPPi vaccine that he didn't need because he got them last year (same clinic) - these are 3 year vaccinations. Their business model is unethical and gouges pet owners. On the bright side, their big city IT and marketing are spectacular. My advise would be to find a locally owned vet that prioritizes animal care over line-item price gouging and upselling you treatments you don't need.

He is a very sweet animal and will say hi to anyone. They tried to tell me he didn't like male figures but my dog is very well socialized and will walk up to anyone, granted has been trained by men and is always around them. I'm not saying they beat him but something definitely happened to my dog that made him not want to return After hearing friends having the same instance where their dog wouldn't even go in the door and running into one of their employees that told me they did not like my dog and to stop taking him there for the wellbeing of my dog I finally after a long debate decided to post this. Do not take your dog here. They don't care about the dogs and don't cap however many dogs come in. My dog has been picked up with rashes and smelling like he was doused in feces. They also disregarded any and all of his formal training. The facility isn't clean and the staff lacks the proper communication skills.
