I was a little scared because I love a BLT as is and I've never thought to put an egg on it, but it was delicious! I ordered the Milky Way latte and I thought that left a little to be desired. I ordered it with whole milk and it really just tasted like sweet milk. I couldn't really taste coffee at all. My boyfriend ordered a latte with oatmilk and he had the same impression. It wasn't strong enough. The only staff we really interacted with was the person at the register. They were not super warm and bubbly, but they were the only employee working the front of the house and they were consistently busy. I noticed this person was also who made our lattes. Maybe Ritual should consider putting two people at front of house if they are going to be expected to take the orders and make the coffees.

When I asked about why we were charged more, I was simply told by the person at the counter that that was the price listed on the tablet they were using and that the menu above the counter must be out of date. I'm much less concerned about the overcharge $2 ($1 per order) than the attitude toward the customer evidenced by the person at the counter and, especially, the management, who should keep the menu above the counter up-to-date and instruct the staff to honor posted prices. I don't expect anyone to don sack-cloth and ashes over the overcharge, but someething like, "Oh, I'm sorry. We need to change the menu. I'll refund you two dollars" would have been nice. Posting a price and then charging a higher one, in addition to probably being a violation of deceptive trade practice law, is dishonest.

They also tell you what specials they have going on today whether it be coffee or a sandwiches, etc. It's small inside. There's only about six tables but we like sitting outside because it's like six picnic tables out there and lots of seeds even though it's on the main street it's really not that bad. It's right across from a bus stop with the buses pull in turn around and go back out. It is kind of a busy street. We know that today but it doesn't seem overly busy. Just make sure you cross in the crosswalk type of thing. It's right up the street from assisted living and from the ocean you can grab sandwiches and stuff and eat there down the street and sit on little benches on the water and have your lunch and see the boats and stuff floating out in the harbor it's really very nice quiet beautiful location.

I've now gone to this new location twice, always on a Saturday after I work out. And I never just buy one thing. I buy sandwiches and whatever they have on the counter that looks interesting, just to try. On my most recent visit, I was really hungry and looking for breakfast sandwiches. I didn't find a lot, but I saw they had a spring mix, tomato, and avocado sandwich, so I ordered two on two different bagels. I added turkey sausage to one and bacon to the other. With the $2 add-on, they were $8.50 each. I also bought the cheddar scone for $4 and the blueberry lemon scone for $5. All told, I spent around $29 for a to-go order. Did I get a bit of sticker shock for a to-go order? Yes. But it is what it is. What I didn't appreciate was the lack of courtesy. I walked in and there was one occupied table. The owner was standing in front of the counter looking down at her phone. No problem. She started talking to me and taking my order while barely looking at me. At first, I thought, well, maybe she is in the middle of an important text message. She did say she needed a few seconds. But then she would raise her head, look around the counter, and go back to her phone. I stood right in front of her for about five or six minutes, only to realize that she was in the middle of posting on social media. There was a sort of "sorry," but not really. Then other customers came in and she was so sweet to everyone. Warm, attentive, engaging. Which only made my experience even more noticeable. And here's the thing: the food is good. I can even live with the price of the baked goods. I also don't doubt that other people have been served well here. I can only speak to my own experience, and mine has been far from that. Twice now. I don't have any history with the owner, nor do I recall having had any long conversations with her that would explain the difference in treatment. I was simply a customer standing at the counter, spending nearly $30 on breakfast. This, more than the prices, is the reason I am not rushing to go back. I hope this makes them a little more conscious of providing consistently good customer service. Perhaps others will benefit from my less-than-ideal experience.
