I jokingly said she owed me as in now had to pay for that bottle as I assumed they would simply write it off like most businesses would when there's an accidental break. Instead one of the workers simply said "yeah you do!" in an extremely entitled and rude manner. Perhaps she was an owner, I have no idea. She disappeared and we never saw her again. We were them forced to pay for the soda. We were discounted 50% but it's still ridiculous. Maybe don't put bottles on the bottom shelf where little kids can easily bump into them. Especially in a CANDY STORE WHERE YOUR MAIN AUDIENCE IS KIDS. The worker did apologize for having to charge us, but she apparently texted the owners and was told to do so...

The box cover picture (see attached) displayed approx 20 pieces of chocolate. However, imagine our surprise to find 15 pieces inside! After a more thorough read of the contents, there it was in the fine print: "About 7 servings per container. Serving size 2 pieces." My bad for not reading more carefully! The candies were tasty, but it was my fault for not calculating they would cost $1.33 a piece!! So here's my complaint: The box cover gives the impression that the contents are closer to 20 pieces of candy, NOT 15! Not only did we pay a premium mall merchant price (should have known), but the volume of contents was extremely disappointing. Lesson: Read contents before buying!

(I tried a mango one myself which was beautifully painted and bursting with flavor; my husband loved his peruvian dark chocolate one). When I stopped by, the owner graciously walked me through the store, explaining the different chocolate options (they also have ice cream and macaroons). The interior was immaculate and they actively make chocolate in the back! He also mentioned on Saturday mornings (just the one day of the week) he bakes fresh pastries -- so of course I had to come back. Let me tell you, THE PASTRIES ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Don't be deceived by the name -- Frederic Loraschi doesn't just do chocolate (although those are incredible) -- the butter croissant was the best croissant I've ever had, period. Truly impressive for Harrisburg!!! You'd think you stepped into a bakery in France. I also loved the little tomato pie with herbs -- the goat cheese flavor was also perfect. I would highly highly recommend these! They sell out quick (we went around 9-9:30am and almost all of the croissants had gone -- the chocolate and ham/cheese croissants already were sold out, as were many of the other pastries in the case). First, I thought it was a great idea to have a food truck on a weekend morning, because you can tap into a different group of patrons than on a Friday night. Service was spot on with each type of croissant and food item was explained (with pride) to me while trying to choose. On this visit we sampled the ham and cheese croissant, the apple croissant, and the savory bread pudding. Everything was delicious! The croissants were some of the best ones my wife and I have eaten. So much so we contemplated walking back to the truck for seconds. If you see their food truck stop and you will not be disappointed! We are looking forward to visiting the shop and trying some of their specialty chocolates!

Much like former president Jimmy Carter, I love jelly bellies so much... but actually only about 14 out of the 49 standard flavors. So I hate buying bags of jelly bellies from the store, especially since the company is charging for them like they're gold bars. I went to Macy's the other day and they were selling the 2lb bag for $30! Like maybe we should start setting the U.S. dollar on the jelly belly standard. But I digress. ANother great feature was that they offer takeaway coolers with ice if traveling during the warmer months. It was reasonably priced to ensure the big order of chocolate we bought would make it home back to Washington, DC without turning into a big melted chocolate blob.
