Beautiful cupcakes for special events. The presentation is elegant and ingredients are top quality. The icing is light and some cupcakes have a filling inside. The cake tastes so good - you can tell they know how to make a good batter! Pricing is fair for their items. They also special made rolls for our event that were very very good! read more

Gable House Bakery - Chocolate peanut butter and strawberry cupcakes - Bakeries Near Me - Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania

Best bakery in Union County! I have tried many assortments and haven't been disappointed.

Great service, better dessert! I recently visited the Mifflinburg area and wanted dessert for the getaway, as it was my partner's birthday. Gable House was so accommodating - answered timely, answered all my questions, personable and friendly. The bakery items were great. I ordered a cherry pie, a cookies and cream cheese cake and threw on a pecan pie after seeing it. The pecan pie was a little underwhelming, I would've like more pecan. The cheesecake thick and creamy, and the crust was so buttery. I could've believe the crust. The cherry pie was amazing, tart but sugary. Cherry pie is my partner's favorite, and she said it was a really good cherry pie. The price of all this was only $44, which to me is amazing. For the quality, quantity and service, I would've paid double. Support this beautiful bakery - I highly recommend it! read more

Gable House Bakery is a fantastic place to get some treats! Their cheesecake is by far the best cheesecake I've ever had. I normally get plain with chocolate ganache. Last time I was there they had peanut butter with chocolate ganache. It was incredible. Seriously, so freaking good. All of their items are good, but the cheesecake read more

Wow this place is just great! Stopped in on a saturday to try some treats at the recommendation of a friend. Staff was friendly and helpful, even when it took us 10 minutes to decide on what we wanted because it all looked amazing. Bakery is set up in a small space with about 6 tables. Its on the main street in the town right next to the moose club. We found parking on a side street, there is no parking behind the store but there is also a public lot nearby. We ordered a cinnamon roll, a chocolate stout whoopie pie, cinnamon whiskey whoopie pie, mini mocha cupcake, vanilla cupcake with chocolate icing and a cream puff and 2 cups of coffee. Total was 17 bucks which to me was a great deal. We tore into the cinnamon roll immediately. The dough was soft and fluffy, no old dry cinnamon bun here!!! Flavors were balanced well and oh that gooey icing was amazing. It paired perfectly with our coffee which was also delicious! We tried the cream puff next. The dough was a little heavier than cream puffs im used to but still delicious! To delve into a deeper sugar coma we tried the mini cupcake. Cake was moist, it had a ganache type of filling and the frosting was a whipped delight. Not too sweet...it was perfect! We took the rest home and were beyond happy with our delicious purchases. We even brought home a loaf of honey wheat bread for family and everyone went wild over it! By far the best baked goods Ive had in a very long time. Try this place out its amazing!! read more

Wonderful fresh and homemade pastries. Really a wonderful team here! Only a little seating but you can usually find a spot to enjoy your treat but on a sunny day you can sit out back or take it to go and enjoy while downtown shopping or in the park. read more

Unfriendly. The store clerk was very unfriendly. Strata from the Lewisburg Farmer's Market was inedible.

I have pretty much only gotten cakes from here. However the cakes have always been delicious and I love the design they put on them when I had no idea what to do for my kids birthday. It was nice that I didn't have to order far in advance either, however this has changed since past orders and I don't know that I like that. There are times when I need to place order same week not 3-4 plus weeks in advance. read more

I can't rave enough about Gable House! The baked goods, breads, and cakes from this business are the best! I have not had desserts that are better elsewhere. The staff is so incredibly friendly and cares SO MUCH about their customers. I was already a fan of Gable House when we booked them for our wedding. We asked for a themed cake, and they delivered the most perfect and beautiful cake - so much better than I could have imagined. The next day when we actually tasted the cake confirmed that it was even better than it looked. You can't get better for your special occasion! read more

Everyone always says that no one remembers the cake at a wedding but it seems ours is the exception! In the weeks since our wedding, every guest I have talked to has raved about the delicious cake Gable House made for us. Working with them was so lovely and they exceeded our expectations with the beautiful and delicious cake, mini whoopie pies, and cookies. We even ordered one of their delicious pastry trays for the morning while everyone was getting ready! I cannot say enough good things about our experience and will definitely be back! read more

Delicious confections... the chocolate stout cake is my favorite!! The sticky bun is another favorite!! Just do it, stop get a tasty treat!

I am looking for someone to make a red velvet wedding cake. I tried 6 different cupcakes to see if I liked what they made. The search for a good red velvet cake remains. The cream cheese frosting did not taste like cream cheese at all. I ordered a carrot cake one but ended up with banana. The frostings tasted like they are made with Crisco. read more

Gable House Bakery provided 22 fabulous, delicious pies for our daughter's wedding at One Barn Farm in Mifflenburg. On the Main Street of Mifflinburg you will find a quaint small bakery with a big presence in the area. Gable House Bakery opened its doors last fall after months of hard work to renovate an old structure. When you step inside you will be met by friendly staff ready to help you pick out a treat, explain their mission and goals. The baking legacy has continued as the owner is a second generation baker whose artistic creativity blends well with a desire to provide a place for locals to gather and out of town visitors to learn more about the area. There are always fresh baked goods ready to purchase including breads, bagels, danishes, cinnamon rolls and signature deluxe whoopie pies. All items are baked onsite using original recipes. If you don't know what to pick from the case, I recommend the raspberry danish or donut bites. All of the items pair well with locally roasted coffee which is always available. They offer custom wedding cakes and other special occasion items as well. read more

We are part-time residents in Mifflinburg. When we come up oh, my husband can't wait to get to the bakery and order cream puffs and eclairs. I am always delighted to see that they have gluten-free options, and I just finished one of the best gluten free Biscotti's I've ever had. The women here are always friendly, smiling, and they recently started a rewards program. We haven't had anything yet that we haven't loved. read more
