Great service, better dessert! I recently visited the Mifflinburg area and wanted dessert for the getaway, as it was my partner's birthday. Gable House was so accommodating - answered timely, answered all my questions, personable and friendly. The bakery items were great. I ordered a cherry pie, a cookies and cream cheese cake and threw on a pecan pie after seeing it. The pecan pie was a little underwhelming, I would've like more pecan. The cheesecake thick and creamy, and the crust was so buttery. I could've believe the crust. The cherry pie was amazing, tart but sugary. Cherry pie is my partner's favorite, and she said it was a really good cherry pie. The price of all this was only $44, which to me is amazing. For the quality, quantity and service, I would've paid double. Support this beautiful bakery - I highly recommend it! read more

Wow this place is just great! Stopped in on a saturday to try some treats at the recommendation of a friend. Staff was friendly and helpful, even when it took us 10 minutes to decide on what we wanted because it all looked amazing. Bakery is set up in a small space with about 6 tables. Its on the main street in the town right next to the moose club. We found parking on a side street, there is no parking behind the store but there is also a public lot nearby. We ordered a cinnamon roll, a chocolate stout whoopie pie, cinnamon whiskey whoopie pie, mini mocha cupcake, vanilla cupcake with chocolate icing and a cream puff and 2 cups of coffee. Total was 17 bucks which to me was a great deal. We tore into the cinnamon roll immediately. The dough was soft and fluffy, no old dry cinnamon bun here!!! Flavors were balanced well and oh that gooey icing was amazing. It paired perfectly with our coffee which was also delicious! We tried the cream puff next. The dough was a little heavier than cream puffs im used to but still delicious! To delve into a deeper sugar coma we tried the mini cupcake. Cake was moist, it had a ganache type of filling and the frosting was a whipped delight. Not too sweet...it was perfect! We took the rest home and were beyond happy with our delicious purchases. We even brought home a loaf of honey wheat bread for family and everyone went wild over it! By far the best baked goods Ive had in a very long time. Try this place out its amazing!! read more

Unfriendly. The store clerk was very unfriendly. Strata from the Lewisburg Farmer's Market was inedible.

I have pretty much only gotten cakes from here. However the cakes have always been delicious and I love the design they put on them when I had no idea what to do for my kids birthday. It was nice that I didn't have to order far in advance either, however this has changed since past orders and I don't know that I like that. There are times when I need to place order same week not 3-4 plus weeks in advance. read more

I can't rave enough about Gable House! The baked goods, breads, and cakes from this business are the best! I have not had desserts that are better elsewhere. The staff is so incredibly friendly and cares SO MUCH about their customers. I was already a fan of Gable House when we booked them for our wedding. We asked for a themed cake, and they delivered the most perfect and beautiful cake - so much better than I could have imagined. I am looking for someone to make a red velvet wedding cake. I tried 6 different cupcakes to see if I liked what they made. The search for a good red velvet cake remains. I am always delighted to see that they have gluten-free options, and I just finished one of the best gluten free Biscotti's I've ever had.
