To start i had the mushroom soup. Piping hot, big 1/4 chunks of diced mushrooms with a velvety cream base. On the last day of summer I had the seasonal salad that followed the soup. Mixed greens, small bites of crunchy watermelon, feta cheese with a balsamic vinaigrette. The salad was refreshing with great tones of summer, great texture with the soft cheese and crunchy watermelon. Next was the main event, the ribs and shrimp. I got a large portion (1/2 rack), smothered in a smokey and tangy BBQ sauce. The meat was falling off the bones. I've been too many rib restaurants and these by far were the best I've ever had. Paired with the ribs were 5 large butterflied shrimp, with a light and crispy batter. Served of course with fresh lemon and cocktail sauce. My vegetable was a large sweet corn on the cob that was massaged in butter. I also got a large baked potato with sour cream, onions and real bacon. This was by far one of the best dinners of my life, and it's still not over. For dessert I had the whipped cream cheese pear mousse. Light and fluffy, just sweet enough. The only downside was the pear tasted like they were out of a can and not fresh. Next time your visiting grandma and grandpa at the retirement community make sure you go there on the Thursday night for rib night. You won't be disappointed. They also serve hot and cold breakfast and lunches. Oh and one more thing, my entire dinner cost $15 including taxes and came with either a tomato juice or cranberry cocktail!

THIS IS ACCESS REGENT IN WINNIPEG, MB, but the system is mislabeling it. I booked a full physical,…read moreand perhaps I expected too much, but i did not expect that a full physical would be weight and height (by the assistant) and blood pressure, that's it ... end of physical!! I assumed a clinic this size would have a simple blood lab and fasted in preparation. I arrived for my 9am app, and waited 35 minutes (if I have an afternoon app, I expect to wait 30 to 40 min as many app's will go over by 5 min during the day, and they add up). Finally I went outside and waited out there another 5 min before they called me in (the waiting room was EMPTY). It's my understanding that MB health is all digitized now, but the info that i had a heart attack in mid 2019 (St B) and then was misdiagnosed as having gall stones in 2020 (Concordia) was not in my chart at all. When she found out what type of heart attack I had, OUT OF THE BLUE she started asking if the heart specialist had talked to me yet about a BYPASS. I said no and looked alarmed so she tried to back away from the convo and wasn't happy when i pressed it. So now I'm impatient with the 40min wait at 9am and incomplete records, and I'm little freaked out about the whole bypass thing, but I let it go and talk about the minor issues I have. 1) hips and walking, i thought glucosamine and she said - TALK TO YOUR PHARMACIST ABOUT IT INTERFERING WITH MEDS - i said you tell me Dr. - no answer. Issue one - shrugged off. 2) Twisties in my ... diaphragm area that temporarily stop me in my tracks and are painful- she said sounds like gall bladder, no poking, no prodding, no questions. I will admit that by this time i had a slow burn going on, and I don't remember what else she said. 3) triglycerides - this is case of one Dr pushing what needs to be done onto another Dr or nurse practitioner. It's my heart Dr that wanted this info, and there's a blood lab in his building, but he knew i had a physical coming up, so he shrugged it off onto her (also a reason why I believed that Access Regent has a blood lab). At this point I just wanted to get out of there. I had another question about a supplement i take but felt there was no point in asking. Next time i need a physical, I'll measure my height, step on a scale and use the blood pressure cuff at the local drugstore. This is what the conservative gov has done to healthcare in MB.

The podiatrist there retired in August 2018 and a new doctor, Dr. Landen Kulczycki took over and renamed the business to Family Foot Clinic. I am utterly shocked at how unprofessional and unqualified this new doctor is. The receptionist is still the same friendly one from the previous doctor. When I walked in for my appointment, the new podiatrist was speaking very loudly in a condescending tone to the receptionist. He didn't greet me or even make contact and eventually went to the back and left the receptionist to deal with me and obviously quite rattled. As someone who has staff of my own, I would never run a business in a way that my staff would feel degraded. This should have been a clear sign to walk right out but I figured I'd give this new guy a chance before passing judgement. I was expecting to at least have a review of my file since this podiatrist had never seen me before and took over the clinic just a month and a half earlier. I sat down on the chair that he then lifted 6 feet off the ground. I can't imagine that being necessary at all. Not to mention, how unsafe. What if I had anxiety or was epileptic and fell out of a chair with no guards? This podiatrist just laughed and said 'I'm tall' when I asked if it was necessary to be able to touch the ceiling. After looking at my feet for 3 minutes and asking about my old orthotics, he said he'd be happy to reorder a pair (which is what I came for). I told him that I needed a quote submitted to my insurance and a gait analysis with prescription to make sure I'm covered. He sent me on my way for the receptionist to deal with me. When the receptionist told me it would take two weeks for my orthotics to arrive, I clarified that wasn't what I needed. I told her I explained to the new doctor that I need a quote and analysis submitted to my insurance BEFORE doing anything. If you're spending $450, I'm sure you would do the same thing. She thanked me for letting her know because the doctor just told her to 're-order' the same thing from the other doctor from 4 years ago. I felt so bad for this receptionist. Needless to say, he took $62.00 for 3 minutes of his time to just give me what the last doctor already had done. I am completely appalled that this person is even qualified to do this job. I would avoid at all costs!

I've been unlucky enough to need a podiatrist in my life for many years. I've been squished into…read morefull waiting rooms, been forced to listen to ramblings of all types - and been provided horrific service all around this city. When I heard that Dr. Landen was finally becoming an self- employed podiatrist I couldn't have been more thrilled. Dr. Landen is incredibly talented and good at what he does. He has literally saved my feet more than once. I've been lucky enough to be his patient for a few years. In addition to being good medically, his patient management skills are exceptionally adaptive. I have referred at least 4 people who continue to see him and have themselves referred others. These range in age from mid 30s to late 80s - men and women. They too have followed him. If you need to sit around a crowded waiting room brewing about negative things, or have your podiatrist tend to your emotional well being through long irrelevant conversations, with outdated equipment or procedures - this isn't the place for you. I am thrilled to be in and out within 20 minutes - and to have a wonderful personal relationship with my podiatrist. Yes - I waited 15 minutes once - but it was because an earlier patient wanted general details on corns - and how could he not provide full information. Dr. Landen is kind, polite and respectful. I am so glad that he chose this practice and the incredible receptionist that came with it. I am sure the two of them will continue to grow this practice in such positive ways. I also feel blessed that he continues to maintain me as a client. It is definitely a two way street of respect when you deal with this office.

I will say that you'll get more bang for your buck by talking with your instructor after your practice, as they'll more easily remember your face. The reason is that for classes like slow flow, yin, or deep stretch yoga, they're very busy and it's hard for the instructor to check every single student to ensure they're doing the poses properly. While those fundamental classes are important especially for a beginner, I highly recommend some of the smaller classes, especially yoga on the wall. Overall my experience here has been positive. Yes the hot yoga classes can get busy, but I find the 10 class/month pass very reasonable at $129.
