Kildonan House has a cozy, home-like environment where the residents are their first priority. Their 1 and 2 bedroom suites are wheelchair and walker accessible. The majority of suites feature a walk-in shower stall, while the remaining suites provide a bathtub option. Each suite features individually controlled heat and air conditioning, ample storage space, kitchens equipped with a full stove and fridge, as well as a balcony. Brunch and a delicious three course dinner served daily in our central dining room by our friendly and attentive staff. All meals are prepared from scratch, on site by professionally trained kitchen staff. The meals are low sodium, including diabetic options, other allergies and restrictions are also attended to. Weekly light housekeeping is provided, as well as daily garbage collection. The grounds, building, and suites are maintained on an ongoing basis by their maintenance staff. Snow removal and de-icing of walkways and parking lot are also a priority. Activities, presentations, and entertainment are planned on a monthly basis. Some examples include weekly exercise class, tai chi, bingo, theme dinners, and weekly excursions to and from nearby shopping centres. They provide a private guest suite for out of town guests, as well a private dining room for gatherings of family and friends. My wife enjoyed being active and I was not able to accompany her with the activities available due to surgery on my back. The companions encouraged her to participate and socialize with other residents. As her enjoyment changed, JTRC personnel found other activities to replace them. I was very pleased with the way the companions worked with her, with patience and understanding. The owner was her main companion, and established a trusting and caring relationship with my wife. She would address health problems for both of us including recommending over the counter medications to help. When a change in companion was necessary, the trust and care went uninterrupted and she was comfortable with all of the assigned companions. I found that the owner would immediately address any unexpected change in scheduling and ensure my wife was kept safe and comfortable at all times, particularly when I went unexpectedly to Urgent Care and stayed overnight. She helped me attend doctor appointments, and with a difficult move into the health facility. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending JTRC Care when health problems and lifestyle changes arise and help is required.

THIS IS ACCESS REGENT IN WINNIPEG, MB, but the system is mislabeling it. I booked a full physical,…read moreand perhaps I expected too much, but i did not expect that a full physical would be weight and height (by the assistant) and blood pressure, that's it ... end of physical!! I assumed a clinic this size would have a simple blood lab and fasted in preparation. I arrived for my 9am app, and waited 35 minutes (if I have an afternoon app, I expect to wait 30 to 40 min as many app's will go over by 5 min during the day, and they add up). Finally I went outside and waited out there another 5 min before they called me in (the waiting room was EMPTY). It's my understanding that MB health is all digitized now, but the info that i had a heart attack in mid 2019 (St B) and then was misdiagnosed as having gall stones in 2020 (Concordia) was not in my chart at all. When she found out what type of heart attack I had, OUT OF THE BLUE she started asking if the heart specialist had talked to me yet about a BYPASS. I said no and looked alarmed so she tried to back away from the convo and wasn't happy when i pressed it. So now I'm impatient with the 40min wait at 9am and incomplete records, and I'm little freaked out about the whole bypass thing, but I let it go and talk about the minor issues I have. 1) hips and walking, i thought glucosamine and she said - TALK TO YOUR PHARMACIST ABOUT IT INTERFERING WITH MEDS - i said you tell me Dr. - no answer. Issue one - shrugged off. 2) Twisties in my ... diaphragm area that temporarily stop me in my tracks and are painful- she said sounds like gall bladder, no poking, no prodding, no questions. I will admit that by this time i had a slow burn going on, and I don't remember what else she said. 3) triglycerides - this is case of one Dr pushing what needs to be done onto another Dr or nurse practitioner. It's my heart Dr that wanted this info, and there's a blood lab in his building, but he knew i had a physical coming up, so he shrugged it off onto her (also a reason why I believed that Access Regent has a blood lab). At this point I just wanted to get out of there. I had another question about a supplement i take but felt there was no point in asking. Next time i need a physical, I'll measure my height, step on a scale and use the blood pressure cuff at the local drugstore. This is what the conservative gov has done to healthcare in MB.

The studio is huge with two levels and many rooms, plus a large change room that includes the use of showers if you wish. The admin staff in there are very caring and will give you a tour guide of the studio if it's your first time here. I will say that you'll get more bang for your buck by talking with your instructor after your practice, as they'll more easily remember your face. The reason is that for classes like slow flow, yin, or deep stretch yoga, they're very busy and it's hard for the instructor to check every single student to ensure they're doing the poses properly. While those fundamental classes are important especially for a beginner, I highly recommend some of the smaller classes, especially yoga on the wall. Overall my experience here has been positive. Yes the hot yoga classes can get busy, but I find the 10 class/month pass very reasonable at $129.

The services are AMAZING but…read more.. The receptionist is rude, unprofessional, and condescending. I've been a customer of HealthMedica for a while and cannot rave enough about the impeccable facialist (Jenilyn), the masseurs, and chiroprators. Their services are truly top notch and is what keeps me coming back. But the receptionist is another thing. Every time I have to deal with her I question myself whether it's worth this torture to receive such services. She answers her cellphone more than she does the office phone, one time while I was waiting for my appointment she was having a conversation with another customer who was across the room about personal things that most people discuss with some close girlfriends over a bottle of wine, and recently as I was rebooking my appointment I was confirming the date and she replies, "uhhhh yeah... isn't that what I said?" Love the services and give them 5 stars but the receptionist I'd give 1 (and that's only because you can't give 0), which averages out to 3 stars for my entire experience. I truly believe that HealthMedica's business could be booming if it wasn't for the terrible receptionist who you're forced to deal with in the beginning and the end.
