Every other hospital in the city could learn from now the Vic is run. I wish it were the only hospital I had to deal with. It would make managing my medical issues 200x easier if all hospitals were this well run. Thank you to the Vic for always being so warm and caring and keeping the humour going even when things are bad. It makes hospital trips so much less awful. There is also a walk-in clinic ,Rexall pharmacy, physiotherapy, a cardiologist, a urologist (I think, there used to be , anyway.), psychologist, and now a women's health clinic. Fantastic. A nice new feature is that you can book online for a follow-up or new problem. Very nice! There is ample surface parking that is very cheap, and you can pay for it via the Hangtag app, so no need to have a credit card or get cash. I have seen the same physician since I started there and he is fantastic. I can usually get in to see him within the week, sometimes even the same or next day if urgent. The only thing that I could recommend would be to have food vending machines and/or a cafeteria. I think they used to have these and closed them, too bad.

I'd like to address the comments of the most recent yelper: - It is clearly stated that you will be charged if you do not cancel your appointment within 24 hours of the appointment. This is to prevent empty slot appointments when there are sick people who need an appointment. It's common courtesy to cancel, and selfish to leave an open appointment you do not intend on going to! - "Indian and Asian traditional medicines", I'm going to pretend this isn't racist and just say that I have seen the Indian doctor you speak of, and he prescribed me an inhaler, a nasal spray, and anti-biotics when I had a severe and persistant cough/cold (lasting over 3 weeks!). He also swabbed for strep. I'm sure it was not Indian or Asian nasal spray though I didn't look into its origin.... - It is also common practice to charge for notes. At Greencrest it is 10$. I do not feel this is unusual and/or uncalled for This clinic also has days of walk-in if you are not a patient. If you do not love your family doctor, call and ask if they are accepting patients, it was the best decision I've made for my health!

There was a delivery issue with the pharmacy service ( completely unrelated to the house call service) where I called the doctor back the following day and they promptly took care of the issue which wasn't thier fault and had my prescription forwarded to a different pharmacy. I highly recommend this service. I got better care from them then I would at most walk ins

THIS IS ACCESS REGENT IN WINNIPEG, MB, but the system is mislabeling it. I booked a full physical,…read moreand perhaps I expected too much, but i did not expect that a full physical would be weight and height (by the assistant) and blood pressure, that's it ... end of physical!! I assumed a clinic this size would have a simple blood lab and fasted in preparation. I arrived for my 9am app, and waited 35 minutes (if I have an afternoon app, I expect to wait 30 to 40 min as many app's will go over by 5 min during the day, and they add up). Finally I went outside and waited out there another 5 min before they called me in (the waiting room was EMPTY). It's my understanding that MB health is all digitized now, but the info that i had a heart attack in mid 2019 (St B) and then was misdiagnosed as having gall stones in 2020 (Concordia) was not in my chart at all. When she found out what type of heart attack I had, OUT OF THE BLUE she started asking if the heart specialist had talked to me yet about a BYPASS. I said no and looked alarmed so she tried to back away from the convo and wasn't happy when i pressed it. So now I'm impatient with the 40min wait at 9am and incomplete records, and I'm little freaked out about the whole bypass thing, but I let it go and talk about the minor issues I have. 1) hips and walking, i thought glucosamine and she said - TALK TO YOUR PHARMACIST ABOUT IT INTERFERING WITH MEDS - i said you tell me Dr. - no answer. Issue one - shrugged off. 2) Twisties in my ... diaphragm area that temporarily stop me in my tracks and are painful- she said sounds like gall bladder, no poking, no prodding, no questions. I will admit that by this time i had a slow burn going on, and I don't remember what else she said. 3) triglycerides - this is case of one Dr pushing what needs to be done onto another Dr or nurse practitioner. It's my heart Dr that wanted this info, and there's a blood lab in his building, but he knew i had a physical coming up, so he shrugged it off onto her (also a reason why I believed that Access Regent has a blood lab). At this point I just wanted to get out of there. I had another question about a supplement i take but felt there was no point in asking. Next time i need a physical, I'll measure my height, step on a scale and use the blood pressure cuff at the local drugstore. This is what the conservative gov has done to healthcare in MB.
