The facility is stuck in the 1990's regarding administration and technology. Do not get placed on…read morethe second floor, that is mainly for people with dementia, but CP will say otherwise. The doctor assigned to that floor, does not make regular visits to residents and picks and chooses who is seen, even after you ask to see the doctor. The place is run too much like an institution and not a "home" as their literature states. Their favourite line is that's the best they can do, and really it is not the best, they just don't want to evolve. Since COVID, the recreation has not returned to the level it was before, and that is from the staff that works there. Just an all around terrible experience and would not go there at all.

beacon hill lodge needs to change their name to beacon hell prison so everyone knows what it truly…read moreis! residents are treated with no respect, no courtesy, and in fact i have witnessed staff up to and including "management" - berate and yell at seniors in this hellhole of a so-called "care home"!!! the entire building is decrepit, depressing, dirty, and disfunctional - and dysfunctional applies to the staff most of all! 99% of employees do not even speak english well enough to know what they are mumbling nor do they understand what an articulate perfect- english speaking person is saying to them! and if the person at the desk doesn't your perfect- english, she will simply hang up on you!!!! yes, this is shocking but its a fact! and if you are a senior at beacon hell, you are lucky if your call bell is ever answered by anyone on your floor. and if you ever need medical attention as a resident, you won't get it - you will be lucky if some "resident care manager" sees you and does some unqualified so-called "assessment"of your medical need! you will be eating all yoir meals cold and you will be given tap water to drink if you even get water! you will be sleepinf on a 2" matress on a child size bed that sinks to the floor -- and you will be paying for all of this too with your money and maybe your life. it is covid infested brought in to that hellhole by a staff member of course and now its spread to many residents - but beacon hell will not tell you how many seniors have covid!!! s t a y a w a y from this dangerous dump!!!

I was referred to JTRC Care Services in April 2025 to help me care for my wife (dementia) and…read moreappreciated their service until April 2026 when she was admitted to hospital care. My wife enjoyed being active and I was not able to accompany her with the activities available due to surgery on my back. The companions encouraged her to participate and socialize with other residents. As her enjoyment changed, JTRC personnel found other activities to replace them. I was very pleased with the way the companions worked with her, with patience and understanding. The owner was her main companion, and established a trusting and caring relationship with my wife. She would address health problems for both of us including recommending over the counter medications to help. When a change in companion was necessary, the trust and care went uninterrupted and she was comfortable with all of the assigned companions. I found that the owner would immediately address any unexpected change in scheduling and ensure my wife was kept safe and comfortable at all times, particularly when I went unexpectedly to Urgent Care and stayed overnight. She helped me attend doctor appointments, and with a difficult move into the health facility. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending JTRC Care when health problems and lifestyle changes arise and help is required.
