I don't mean to de-value people's opinions, man, but they would just be flat out wrong. Dr. Singh has several convenient office locations and is a pleasure to deal with. His surgical technique is unparalleled. I was diagnosed as having nasal polyps and a deviated septum. I had congestion that had been bothering me for years, and really messed with my ability to run and taste my food. After a consult with Dr. Singh, we decided to go with the surgical route, as steroids and nasal sprays simply weren't cutting it. He showed me what was going on in my nose, explained the corrections that needed to be made, and made clear what I should expect for the surgery and into recovery. If you are looking for an ENT who doesn't like to use a lot of nasal packing and you're in the DC metropolitan area, I'd say he should be your number one choice. Removing nasal packing is very unpleasant, but he's got the technique down. Three weeks after the surgery, my relief was so great it felt like I was stealing other people's oxygen. He's helped me regain my former 8:30 minute per mile marathon pace!

He was attentive, clearly an expert, and explained clearly how the procedure would be carried out. Some margin was too close to my carotid artery to be surgically removed--a course of radiation remedied that. I've been following up with Dr. Joshi and his superb team, and appear to be "out of the woods." I can't say enough about his care for me.

I had a salivary gland infection that was diagnosed at an urgent care clinic. The urgent care doc sent me to an ENT, Dr. Mark Tettelbaum, who discovered that the cause was a stone in my salivary duct. This ENT's solution? He was going to send me next door to his partner--who was going to cut out my ENTIRE right submandibular salivary gland. Uh, no. I had already done some research into what may have been causing the infection and swelling and had read enough to know that this doctor was full of it. When I asked about transoral removal (which is almost like a dental procedure--very, very easy--and spares the gland), Dr. Tettlebaum said it would be "impossible." I called Dr. Joshi's office after reading about his success treating salivary stones and he saw me in two days. At our first appointment, he told me he could get the stone out the next week at 8:00 a.m.--using the transoral method, which involved one simple incision inside the mouth, no worse than a minor trip to the dentist--and that I would be sitting at my work desk at 9. The next week came, and man, was he wrong. I was at my work desk--at 8:48. :) Dr. Joshi took the time to explain to me how the stone formed (years of chronic dehydration) and gave me tips for how to prevent a similar malady from happening in the future. Thanks to Dr. Arjun Joshi, I am eating and drinking with no discomfort at all, for the first time in many, many months. Conventional wisdom says to always get a second opinion. I say go to Dr. Joshi first, and if you need a second opinion, simply ask him again. He's that good and that honest. As someone who has had very good reason to not trust many healthcare providers, I was impressed by him and he has from me something I give rarely: my trust. Beyond that, he has my eternal gratitude. I would recommend him with no reservations to anyone.

I knew it was minor compared to the more advanced ear lobe repairs he also does but wanted the best I could get. Dr. Wall was very thorough during the consult and explained every detail to me. I went back in a week or two later for the short procedure and a few more times to have the incision site checked/stitches removed. Now three months later, it looks fabulous - barely a visible scar - and I am looking forward to going back to have him re-pierce the ear.
