While I am sure that they build the meal to the budget and event type, each day has brought a delicious hot entree (for example, today was a fantastic vegetarian spinach and cheese pasta roll), a salad (the watermelon and arugula salad was pretty darn tasty), sometimes a side (if you have the cornbread, you MUST use the flavored butter spread), and always a great dessert (homemade chocolate chip cookies with crumbled bacon....need I say more?). Angela (on of the partners) and her team have been really attentive, including remembering the drink selections of those of us on the interview committee and bringing them out to us when we arrive. And they have been respectful of the meeting environment, including quickly and unobtrusively clearing things away while we meet with the candidates (or, today, silently serving individual warm bread puddings right after lunch was cleared). And the set-up of the serving platters and drinks is top notch. One of the things that they specialize in, and like to do, is catered parties in peoples homes. Their team arrived right on time and they were courteous and helpful from start-to-finish. The (incredibly delicious) food was prepared and arranged beautifully right on time, and they were flexible to bring everything out as we needed it. They helped me move tables, offered suggestions for presentation, and offered to wrap up and set aside dessert for the bride and groom to enjoy later. Keeping in mind Tallahassee is tertiary market, 'the army runs on its stomach,' and the specifically demanding nature of major market film crews, Tastebudz was a good score and highly recommend for event catering. Owner David Wendland is professional, very responsive, engaging, a pleasure to work with and most importantly his wares tasty, which demonstrates pride of ownership. The menu is a perfect key as to what to expect. Everyone complimented the catering and it was quite flavorful from personal perspective; said from working with the best event and set catering in Miami. Spot on from every aspect, he erased my concern of working in the panhandle from onset to eating. Immediately responsive, he adapted to the 'specific' needs and requirements of a few team members' unique dietary requirements. This didn't detract in any fashion from the main eats, which were akin to quality dining at a remote location. They also are one of Tally's best caterers. Tonight, I tried for the first time SE's Salmon Spread - and it was the best I've tasted ... anywhere, ever. My wife advised that it's not a regular offering; that's it's usually made when there's some leftover salmon from other preparations (in tonight's case, from yesterday's Grilled Salmon grab-and-go dinners). This is a grave error; it should be a regular fixture in their display cooler. This spread should be a destination for salmon, not a detour. I've always thought SE's amazing cookies were the star of their show. They must now take a supporting role to this amazing Salmon Spread.

I fell in love and signed the next day! Debra was fantastic on making sure everything was on time and as planned. She answered my countless emails and phone calls. The Barn is absolutely magical for the reception. The waterfall where we had the ceremony was breathtaking. I continue to get comments on how beautiful the wedding, venue, and waterfall were. We were also glad to see that they are following new health and safety guidelines. Servers and kitchen staff were all wearing masks and gloves. Tables were 6 feet apart from each other. As someone who works a full-time demanding job, I hired a planner to relieve the stress and help build a vision and help bring that to life. My biggest mistake was not firing Elle early in the process and finding a new planner once she proved unable to execute and unprofessional. Her communication with other vendors was unprofessional and she went as far as to delete the Google business page to prevent me from providing a review. She made errors on our contracts, had poor communication with vendors and was beyond disorganized up to and including our wedding. Learn from our mistakes and DO NOT HIRE!
