We truly appreciated her taking the initiative to make sure we were taken care of. Unfortunately, we did witness the manager reprimanding one of the servers in front of guests. I found the interaction to be uncomfortable and felt it came across as unprofessional. As someone in a leadership position within the hospitality industry, I believe coaching and correction should be handled privately and with professionalism. First impressions matter, and a warm, approachable attitude from management can make a significant difference in the guest experience. On the positive side, the food was delicious, and our server, Jayla (I believe that was her name), was absolutely wonderful. She was sweet, attentive, accommodating, and made us feel welcomed and well cared for. I would definitely return because the food and ambiance were both excellent. I simply hope management receives some coaching on leading by example and creating a welcoming environment--not only for guests, but for the staff as well. Our apps arrived around 7:45 PM, and we placed our entrées shortly after. During the long gap between apps and dinner, we witnessed a few tense interactions between the host who seated us and our server. The host came across as very abrupt and rude, and honestly, we felt for our server in that moment. Our entrées didn't arrive until around 9 PM. While our server stopped by a few times to apologize and say the food would be out soon, we noticed multiple tables who were seated after us receiving their meals first--which was frustrating, especially as we were getting really hungry. We were close to leaving when our food finally arrived. The French onion soup had virtually no flavor--it was so disappointing I didn't eat it. I mentioned it to the server, and while she apologized, it wasn't removed from the bill despite clearly being untouched. The risotto was fine but again lacked flavor. The only somewhat enjoyable dish was my brother's chicken pesto, but even that came out room temperature. Overall, it was a disappointing experience--especially for what was supposed to be a celebratory dinner.
