Allan Woods Flowers made sure of that…read more After lunch at Han's Palace just a few doors down we walked to see other sights and a 50% off blooms sign stopped us in our tracks. Allan Woods Flowers had our attention before we even walked in. Walking in you are immediately drawn in by the layout. House plants and beautiful orchids greet you at the front alongside the kindest individual who made us excited about what was next. The blooms!! So many blooms in the fridge and outside that you can become overwhelmed in the best way. And they were all discounted. The roses were our immediate want. So many blush pink large mostly opened blooms screaming take me home and of course I had to listen. White, dark pink, red, and every other color in large and small varieties. They did not have my favorite bloom, peonies, but the selection more than made up for it. I hand picked six and my friend did the same. Going deeper into the space we discovered florists building the most beautiful arrangements. That is when I called my mom on FaceTime. She is a fellow florist and could name every single bloom she saw. I think that is where my love of flowers comes from. We grabbed our blooms for a get together we were heading to and made a quick pit stop at Union Market before heading out. The blooms had us moving with purpose. Allan Woods wraps everything in brown paper with thoughtful ribbon that elevates the whole experience. You leave feeling happier than you came in. And if you are lucky enough to share them, the smiles keep going. My mom on FaceTime and the friend I delivered them to can confirm that for sure. Allan Woods Flowers is the kind of stop that sneaks up on you and sends you home smiling. A bloom worth gathering for and the perfect way to elevate your next one.

I will exclusively be purchasing from this venue from now on. For my fiancee's birthday, I had Park deliver some exceptional orchids. Often times when flowers arrive, you are disheartened because, in absence of purchasing in person, your money feels to have been misplaced. Not at park. The value was clearly seen in the product. I had reason to go to the location in person, and the entire store is a delight. I left with more orchids and some exceptional long stem roses. The staff is friendly and highly knowledgeable. They have a concept akin to an open-kitchen restaurant where you see the assembly and arrangement while you wait. I cannot speak highly enough about Park. I don't think I would even consider an alternative, no matter the situation, occasion, or price.

I ordered a tall pink and white arrangement on a Friday for our new baby girl in DC on Friday…read more Called the shop directly and talked with a pleasant gal, who happily took my order for $115.00 :0. Plus delivery fee. She informed me that the delivery could not be made until Tuesday, because of weekend and holiday.. I said ok but wanted to make sure the flowers were fresh and not sitting at their shop over this 3 day period. She assured me that they would be fresh. Flower arrived Tuesday, They looked nice but on Wednesday they began to fade. We trimmed them off and some recovered and most didn't. I called them and explained that it had only been three days and she said so sorry...I will have my customer person call you. Waited for a couple days and no call....Only an email, telling me they guarantee for 3 days and since it was past three days there was no guarantee. Picture clearly taken on night of day 3. She also mentioned that the vase was half full of water so they sucked up water, but again clearly all stems were 3-4 inches below water line....I didn't like the implication that it was our fault that the flowers had died and wilted but they would send a small desk set of flowers.. "sorry for the inconvenience" Instead of taking the high road, it felt like nothing but defense on their part and gee take this instead. Well for $115.00. I thought that was rude response and said nope. Probably going to fade quickly again. I explained that I would be writing a review and the attitude was go ahead..don't care. Now my guess is, they are going to try defend the attitude of their customer service person and say "she didn't want the consolation prize and to bad." which is the attitude I got from the email. I have a company and if I want repeat business and I see that something obviously looked wrong. I would try make that right by following through with a phone call instead of a email, after being promised a phone call. I looked at the reviews online before choosing Lee's.. Looked good, but this is my review. The flowers from Harris Teeter last over a week.. Hmmmmmm
