I have never posted a review but my daughter had went here to get her nails done for the first time. She was looking to go on a Sunday and not many places are open on Sundays. She found Cat Lynn's and saw it had positive reviews. She got a short French tip acrylic set that cost $70 which is very expensive in my opinion. She also mentioned how the nail technician was not wearing gloves as she was getting her nails done (which some nail places do and some don't.. but not wearing gloves does not feel super cleanly.) She left with a lot of the acrylic on her skin and some of the nails were misshapen and we had to re-file them ourselves... A few days after she noticed her cuticle on her middle finger was red and tender. The following night she woke up to her finger completely swollen and she was in a lot of pain. We gave her Advil and she was able to fall back asleep but the next day it had only gotten worse. We had done some research online to see that it could be and Google said it could be paronychia. We waited a 2 days to see if it was getting better or worse and it only got worse. I took her to urgent care where they confirmed it was in fact Paronychia. They had to take a needle, cut open her finger and drain her finger because it had gotten so infected. I had mentioned to the doctor that this happened shortly after she had gotten her nails done and they said it was possibly from dirty tools and that caused her to get an infection right at her cuticle, causing mass amounts of pain and pressure. We will not be going back after this experience because we have gotten our nails done for many years at many nail places and this has never happened ever!!! Be careful if you chose to go there as they are not properly taking the steps to ensure that all of their tools are clean!! I wouldn't want anyone else to get an infection like my daughter. read more

I read the reviews on Yelp and hesitated but it is rare to have a nail salon open on Sundays. A bit anxious but made an appointment for Sunday and they were able to accommodate an appointment. Quite busy for a Sunday but they seated me right away for a pedicure. Pedicure went smoothly and technician was efficient but thorough. Finished in 30 minutes. I was told to wait and in the mean time, they prepped my nails to remove my old no chip manicure. I waited and waited. Saw that they took walk-ins while I kept waiting. I waited 45 minutes and really became upset because they seemed to have forgotten me. I told the lady (must have been the supervisor) that I had enough and she was very apologetic. Informed me that they had sick calls and continued to apologize. Explained to her that I had an apppointment and they should have honored instead of taking walk-ins before me. She offered a gift certificate as a form of apology. Great customer service that helped to diffuse my anger. Left the salon so irritated but I knew I had to have my manicure done before our upcoming trip so, I called today to booked another appointment, reported the issue to a gentleman named AJ, and he accommodated me sooner than expected. He also apologized for what I experienced. I was seated right away and the technician was the same lady who apologized to me. She was also efficient, gentle, experienced in the dip technique, nails were shaped nicely, cuticles cleaned well, and love how it turned out!! Couldn't be more happier and so glad I gave them a second chance despite my previous experience and the negative reviews from others. I've been coming here for a bit, and each time my satisfaction level has been gradually decreasing, but still I gave benefit of the doubt, spared mercy, and after today, don't know when or if I'll be back again. The young man who works at the front desk (I believe his name is DJ) is the major positive thing I can say about this place. He's so friendly and professional, but the nail tech I had, who goes by the name Andy (has tattoos on forearms, one particularly has a tiger on it) is rude, and I believe, has been prone to not pricing fairly. I went in once and got a gel fill and my total came out to be $45 and as I was giving him my cash, along with a $10 tip ($55 total) he gave a certain look like he was displeased. THEN he tells me I have a $10 reward I could use to which I absolutely agreed. It brought the total to my gel manicure to $35, and with that I would've gave him a $7 tip but then he very swiftly walked away after the transaction was done taking the $10. Not going to cry over $3 extra in tip but none the less I saw what he was doing. (Glad he enjoyed that nearly 30% tip that I did NOT willingly want to give)Just be aware, because I think he very sneakily will add in other little surcharges because I've experienced different amounts at times, and when I point it out to him he tells me there was a charge for "reshaping my nails" or something random hahaha. I usually pay cash but I have paid card a couple times. I'm someone who is a generous tipper (he knows that) and when I went in once and he saw I was paying with a card, he gave me a .90 surcharge. I asked him why that happened because I've never seen that happen before, he said it was because I was paying with a card. Don't know if that is a new true policy, but I was definitely skeptical. Fast forward to earlier this week, I decided I wanted to get rid of the gel application nails I've had for a few months because I saw my nails underneath were getting yellow and I got tired of the over filing and wanted to give my natural nails time to breath. When I came in telling him I wanted a regular manicure and my gels soaked off, he started raising his voice and telling me my nails are too weak, and after I said I wanted to go through with it anyway, he gave me total silent treatment the whole time. I did let him apply a no chip polish, because he said it will keep my nails strong, and two days later, my nail polish starts chipping. I came in today because I wanted him to fix it,(mind you I was very nice about it. I came in with no appointment and I noticed he was with another client. I told the other worker there that I can wait for him.He told me before if something like a small damage to nail happens to see him and he'll fix it at no charge, since I was a regular client) and as soon as he looked at them, he raised his voice and told me "See! YOU broke them! I told you your nails too weak." He just overall looked very irritated and upset. (Like really, didn't mean to upset anyone) My response was "you think I'd pay $50 only for ME to break them? I don't think so." I understand my nails need time to recoup, but his response(or rather reaction) was unnecessary and totally unprofessional. For whatever reason, Andy did not end up fixing them (they weren't even THAT major damage. Just a couple minor chips that could easily be corrected), but rather another nail tech did, and she was way nicer about it. I was adamant that I was not going to pay for this, and she was understanding and did not charge me. So I thank her for that. Regardless, I'm reluctant to come back here.This place is a nice setup and atmosphere, but according to my review (and other reviews at that)it needs improvement. Nail Salons are where a lot of women (and some men) put their hard earned money towards. With that being said, just be aware of prices, whether in this place or anywhere else, and make sure the service suits you well. I feel like overall the tech (Andy) was being rude because I got a manicure that wasn't going to give him the higher tip, in the end. Do NOT go here. I called to set up a full set and a pedicure. The pedicure was done by a kind man and did a great job. However when it was time to get my full set they sat me down and started working on me. The lady had such a nasty attitude and was rude, you could tell she did not want to be there. 5 minutes into my set a woman walks in and the other tech tells me to get up and wait so that the other lady who JUST walked in could get her nails done. I was so angry and shocked that they would treat a customer like this. To think I actually waited as they said it would only be a 5 min wait. Almost 10 min, I got up, paid for my pedicure and left. My partner and I went to get our nails done. They completely went against what my partner put in the tablet. I was just supposed to get a manicure and but they put gel clear coat when I never said that nor my partner when they put in what they wanted on the tablet. On top of this during my manicure they clipped my cuticle so badly it would not stop bleeding and they had to use a powder to get it to stop. The lady was just making a joke of it. Theres blood stuck underneath my clear coat, my partners nail broke after 6 days of having them. They took 2 hours to do my partners nails and they came out lumpy. I called and complained they said they'd fix my partners nail, but who wants to go back to a business where you spend over $100 and get cut, get lumpy nails, and extremely long service? Like if the nails were done in 30 minutes then yeah I expect them to be lumpy and fall off. BUT 2 HOURS?! They refused to do anything else. What a joke of a business. Bad experience turned great. I've been going here for a couple years and have always had great serve until my last acrylic dip. The nail tech I had was new or at least I haven't seen her before. She was extremely rough taking off my old dip and did a poor job putting on the new color. My last coat usually goes under the uv light. Instead she put something else on that required a 3 minute air dry. The result after 2 days was a cracked nail and the light pick polish I chose turned a yellow tint. This was my GO TO salon for 5 years, even through COVID. I referred so many people, but no longer. When Ha, my regular tech was busy I agreed to have a new girl. She stabbed and hurt me 3 times. After the third I winced, and said ouch. she drew blood. She didn't care, or apologize. instead she got up, and went to help another customer. The owner who has known me forever, told me to have another seat, and wait for a free tech. after 15 minutes of being ignored I left. If I could leave 0 stars I would! I thought of giving this place a try, and regret it! The gentleman that did my toes did a horrible job, he left my toe nails all lumpy. I asked him to fix it which he did but when I got home I noticed the top coat was everywhere and my nails weren't polished properly. Oh and they are chipping already and it was no chip (mind you just got home). I also am having pain as he filed some of my skin on my toes. The tech seemed to have a cold and would at times leave to blow is nose. I thought it would of been nice if he at least wore a mask, but didn't. Heck he even came back with the same gloves he was using on my toes. When It came to getting my dip on my hands done, it was even worse. The girl next to me had told me she had been there for 4 hours to get a french full set. She seemed very upset, that her service was so long. She even stated the nail tech had to restart a couple times. I was worried, but I had asked the lady working on my nails on her experience and she told me she had been working at the salon for at least 10 years. I thought I was in good hands and man oh man was I wrong. My dip was supper lumpy, I had even asked her to thin them out a bit and left with them still supper thick. When I went to pay It was about $113, and when I payed the guy in the front closed the register and expected me to walk away without my change. When this nail salon opened, it was fantastic. We went at least twice a week, but could have gone longer because the manis / pedis stayed for weeks. They changed ownership (I believe) and it's gone downhill from there. I won't waste time writing a full review, because the bottom line's all you need to know: I had a FULL SET of no chip mani's peel and ruin at least 3 times here. They have a guarantee which states they'll redo it if it chips within 2 weeks, but they only redo the damaged nails --- if you have outgrowth from the other nails, or have one damage one day and another the next, you have to keep going back. This is ridiculous, because if one nail's bad they likely all are. The above isn't even the worst. December 2018 was my last visit. I chose a popular color from the OPI wall for my pedicure.... after a week of wearing the polish, I noticed my right big toe was painful. After a day or two I took the nail polish off, and discovered a FUNGUS growing on my nail bed of both big toes. I went to the doctor, and he said toenail rot was common in salons that do mani / pedi on people they KNOW have damaged toes but do it anyway. I LOST BOTH TOENAILS completely, and it took over 6 months, much pain, and a ton of shame and embarrassment before I recovered. My boyfriend, my daughter and I went for a late Valentine's Day Pedi, we originally made a reservation for Saturday afternoon, but life happened so we called and rescheduled. The man that answered the phone was super kind and happy to take our reservation. I was apprehensive because I had read some of the reviews that were not so positive but I kept it to myself because I didn't want to taint our perception going in. We got there about 10 minutes early, and we picked our colors and they had everything set up within 5 minutes of arriving. They accommodated my daughter, who is 8, with pillows so she fit in the chair correctly. We chose our pedicure type, we went for the most expensive one, because we hadn't had pedis in quite some time. We had a mani added on for $10 more. The chairs were comfortable, the staff was kind. The man who did my daughters nails was very nice to her, I know that some people are not kid people and they were just very nice to her and I appreciated that. The young man who did my pedicure was very complete and the woman who did my boyfriend's was also very nice. All of the staff who was around the building during the hour and 15 minutes that we were there seemed very happy and pleasant. I noticed a lady having some uncomfortable reaction to a lotion and the man who was helping her was very responsive and made her comfortable immediately. My daughter messed up one of her finger nails when they were drying (not uncommon for a child) and the man who did her nails happily helped her and re-did the nail. The whole experience was really nice, we didn't get involved with any gel polish or acrylic nails so I can't speak for that but the customer service was 100% top-notch! The front desk staff honestly could not have been nicer. He made me feel very welcome and was so kind. Jenny, who did my pedicure, was also extremely kind and gentle. The front desk employees made it sound as though there wouldn't' be enough time when we called, so we arrived early to make sure all would be good. I'm breaking up with this place after a year long love affair. It's been a long time coming. Yes, they have online appointment scheduling. Reality, though, is that they don't have a computer in the salon. The appointments you're submitting online are going to someone's phone. It's hit or miss whether the appointment request actually make it into the appointment book, meaning your well-planned appointment may still require an extended wait. On my last visit, the appointment didn't make it to the book. This somehow escalated to a yelling match between the manager and the woman doing my nails... Instead of doing my nails, two staff members were arguing at the front desk. On multiple occasions I've made appointments for more than one service, only to have one of those services dropped or ignored in the sake of getting me out the door faster. Also at my last appointment, another woman came in for an appointment with the tech I was seeing. She was apparently more important than I am or her money is worth more because my tech stopped TWICE to go talk to her about her appointment while she was waiting. I had a terrible experience here! I had a no chip manicure on from another salon and simply wanted that gel polish removed, then get a traditional manicure with clear polish- seemed like an easy request. The tech first drummeled my nails for about 10 minutes, then put my nails in these "cup" like things to soak off the gel polish, but instead of just soaking the cotton like most places, she poured about 2 tbsp acetone in each nail cup...causing my hands to get extremely dry from all of the acetone. My fingers were white up to my knuckle. I found it unprofessional that i could not see any nail license displayed, especially when my tech told me she was 17. I'm hoping she was licensed! 2 days later...the clear polish has completely peeled off and some of my nails are extremely tender and painful. I'm not sure if it's from the drummer or the liter of acetone she soaked my nails in but they are painful! I would never return here. read more

My lil cousin and I rolled in around 6 o'clock on Saturday (they close at 7). The first thing we hear is a dude at the front counter say to another dude "Uuugh, see, we should've closed and gone home" - so basically announcing to us that he doesn't want to be there and is annoyed that we've walked in. He was clearly hoping to leave early and we spoiled it. I wanted a pedicure and my cousin needed a manicure. I didn't have to wait, they sent me right over to a chair. The girl working on me was friendly enough, but it's hard enough to understand because of the language barrier but on top of it she spoke very quiet. I kept having to ask her to repeat what she was saying, which is embarrassing. I felt like she was rushing to be done, as well. There was a lady across from me who was in the chair before me, and was still there after I'd paid and left. The other shop-girl was really taking her time with her. i paid $33 for the upgraded pedicure (to help take care of calluses, etc) and an additional $5 for the French polish. So total of $38 (without tip). I think for that much I expected a little bit more time on the calluses and massaging, & a little more time in the warm water. But overall, it was very pleasant. And the citrus scrub that she used smelled heavenly. I was so over-due that it felt really nice just to be getting it done. Also, she did the "French" by hand. She did a good job. It looks nice, but I'll be curious to see how long the polish lasts with this method. Unfortunately, I forgot that none of these nail places allow you to tip on a credit card. So I had to borrow $5 from my cousin to give the girl. Luckily I was with someone else, otherwise she wouldn't have gotten a tip!!! Cuz I didn't have any cash whatsoever. That is BEYOND annoying. I don't know why they don't do that. So, it sucks for her because that's all the cash we had - i would have given her another dollar or two as a tip - but due to their crappy credit card policy, she loses out. My cousin's manicure was done in like 20 minutes. I'm not sure what the average manicure should take because i've never gotten one.... but that seems awfully fast to me. In terms of the actual "store" - they've tried to design it so that it looks pretty. It's painted nicely, and has chandeliers hanging, and the chairs look nice. It is a pretty shop. And they have plenty of polish colors to choose from. Here's the kicker, the guy who was complaining about us coming in actually ended up coming over and talking to me because he noticed I was wearing an Apple Watch. He came right over and started touching it, and undoing the clasp, and looking at it, and then he asked me point-blank in front of other people how much it cost me. Not only did i feel like my personal space was being invaded, but to ask me how much I paid for something was quite rude and intrusive. I felt really uncomfortable. I'm sure he's a nice guy, but it kind of crossed a professional line. Not sure i'll be back. If i'm in the neighborhood i might try something else next time. Overall, I think it's worth trying. They did seem to have a nice little section of different pedicure "options/packages".... So maybe if you go in the FIRST half of the day, rather than the second, you may get better service. read more

Ver disappointed with my experience here. I had an appointment set for 6 and wasn't able to get in until 6:30 (it was Friday so I completely understand and the guy up front was very sweet). When I finally got sat, the woman was extremely rushed. Overall, my nails are crooked and look extremely sloppy. Some nails are shaped fine while others are crooked. You can see in my pictures, the nail tech didn't even fill in my nails entirely either. As much as I didn't love my nails, I wasn't going to say anything, but what really made this situation worse is that an acrylic set is $35, and she charged me $55! Literally almost double the price!! I was in complete shock when I received my receipt and I still gave her a good tip as well. I regret not being more assertive and asking her why I was charged so much more than I should've been, and I wish I could get a refund for that portion. My daughter just came from Cat Lynn's. She showed the receptionist what she wanted, and the tech who did her actual nails was amazing. In comes the incompetent nail artist who literally laughed at her, and who after fifteen minutes of screwing up just one nail, and continual laughing, my daughter asked if he could just do the the other part. He couldn't even do that. Finally she found a basic pink tip, but she asked for it to be in lavender. He did the ENTIRE tip of each nail, absolutely nothing like the photo, and he continued laughing. If there was not an actual person available to complete a simple request, they should have told her so from the beginning. So the $35 manicure turned into $50 with his hideous attempt. My daughter having worked in the service industry herself, still tipped his trash work. Never again. read more

Called to schedule and appointment, after scheduling the gentleman advised me there is an additional fee for "cleaning and sanitizing" I said really? What have you done prior to the virus? Not cleaned and sanitized? Cancelled my appointment. I get it, they are trying hardest to be up to code and rules but that's insane! I am helping your business stay alive and stay open and would hope you cleaned and sanitized prior to COVID19. read more

DO NOT GO HERE FOR A NO-CHIP MANICURE!!!! My daughter and I went here on Mother's Day for a regular pedicure and a no-chip manicure. Both of our no-chip nails are chipping along the edge and my one nail has an entire edge that has come off. I figured I'll take the loss on my 14 year-old's manicure because she's too busy to have it redone but I went in today (because I finally have a day off of work) with my receipt from 12 DAYS AGO (only) and showed the receptionist. She spoke with the technician who did my nails and she said it's been too many days (really? For a no-chip manicure!) for her to fix it. I requested a discount for a complete redo and the manager said no, that it's been longer than 10 days so I would have to have pay full price to have them redone. Why would I pay them FULL PRICE to do a bad job AGAIN!? When a regular pedicure lasts longer than a no-chip manicure, something was done improperly and Cat Lynn Nails should have taken ownership of that and at least given me 50% off of a replacement no-chip. WE WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN ...and we will tell all of our friends about our poor experience. The total price WITHOUT the tip for our bad experience was $129! read more

DO NOT GO HERE! This place is terrible, i went in to get a manicure and lady was VERY rude. I asked for one color and they told me they didn't even have it! She was also very pushy and when i proceeded to pick a different color she continued to do my nails when i hadn't even picked a color out. Throughout the rest of the manicure i counting sly got hurt and my thumb started to bleed. They aren't careful what so ever. This place is trash and will NEVER be going back. read more

Love this place. Very clean and love getting my Dip Nails done here But make an appointment first, Luke that you can choose who does your nails. The really young guy is good. read more
