As soon as we got there, multiple volunteers were happy to talk, answer any questions and take kitties out of their cages for us to pat and play with. The cats looked well cared for and in good health. For me, choosing just one cat was a very different decision, and my partner and I spent well over an hour at the shelter. I apologised to the volunteers for taking so long to come to a decision, but they reassured me that I have nothing to apologise for as it's a very big decision and the last thing they want is for us to go home with the wrong pet for our lifestyle. Finally, I came to the decision of adopting a gorgeous domestic medium-hair kitty named Lilo. The volunteers were very helpful throughout the entire process, providing us with a cardboard box carrier and blanket free of charge, going through all necessary paperwork, and showing us which brand/type of food and litter we needed to purchase to help the cat transition into her new home. Overall, I had a very positive experience at this shelter, and will definitely be coming back if I decide to get another furry baby!

We'd driven…read morequite a way to get there, believing we'd be able to peruse some dogs for sale, but found out upon arrival that it's just a place for lost animals, not for adopting. You can go there looking for your lost animal, but in order to adopt, you must go out to their adoption centre at Bracken Ridge on the other side of town. This was a bit disappointing as the Brisbane City Council website makes out that this is an adoption centre. If looking to adopt a dog on this side of town, best to head to the RSPCA centre at Wacol.

My cat seemed very happy when I picked her up. I had peace of mind to leave her for boarding because I could trust the vets and the nurses to feed her regularly and look after her emotionally and physically. The surgery is in such a convenient location , just off Milton Road, Toowong. I would board my cat there again.

i did 8 years of volunteer work there years ago and as me and some friends went to go and look at…read moresome dogs we couldn't even see them as there was a barrier saying the dogs are sleeping and that they will only allow paying customers well how the heck are customers ment to know if the dog is right for them or not if they can't see them through the hole day and the cat adoption room stunk like crazy and a volunteer was angry at us as we shut the screen door to let some air into the room and apparently to her the door wasn't shut so she shut the glass sliding door but the room stunk so much that i was almost vomiting and when i was doing volunteer work there it was never that bed i cannot believe how down hill it has gone
