Also, do your best to stay away from Pat, the safety guy. If you don't kiss his rosy fat butt, he will make your life Hell. Dispatchers will call you during your sleeper berth time and yell at you that you're going to be late to your appointment constantly, and that's usually during a split sleeper when you're trying to catch up on hours because you got caught in slow traffic. They will also make you run FedEx loads that are HazMat, whether you are Hazmat certified or not. They will make you run FedEx loads that are very clearly stated Corrosive, Flammable, Dangerous when Wet, Radioactive, etc. With NO PLACARDS on the trailer and with their driver not having HAZMAT certification. They will tell you it's no big deal since the trailer doesn't display hazmat placards. You will drive hazardous materials for this company, whether you have the endorsement or not!
