"Professors" are rude, they take weeks to respond to students email and even if they did see them…read morethey won't respond until they feel like it. Work assignments are extremely unorganize. They try to hold students refund checks sometimes. Teachers ask if student need help contact them just for them to ignore you. They also have teachers who are not from the US to teach major subjects such as A&P 1-2 and you can not understand a single thing they teach even if you ask for clarification they won't understand what you are saying either (you basically have to teach yourself). Overall I would give it a negative 5.

If you are considering your education I would not consider SWTCC in that. There were administrative problems from the first day, and it never quit. I felt like I was a cow being herded through a corral. They had me as an out of state student charging higher tuition (and more from the grant) and had to forcefully make them recognize I am not an out of state student. I was placed on hold multiple times by the worker(s) in student aid. They placed me on hold incorrectly so I could hear all the conversation they were having about a ladies butt and joking. They then picked up the telephone and acted as if I had done something wrong by calling. SWTCC workers were so busy texting that they actually had difficulty in answering my questions. I do not take them seriously as they and not a genuine "School". They are a tale told by an idiot. Full of sound and fury signifying nothing. Go elsewhere, go out of state, go to U of M, but do not under any condition go to Southwest Community College. I rue the day I did. Once again, when I reported it in writing, they did a dance and covered it up not even addressing the issues of public humiliation in front of the entore class on several occasions. I am disabled, I do not need these problems in addition to the other issuess in my life. Sorry all, this was the best part of my horrible experience there.

If I could rate this school with no stars I would. My daughter has been here for three years, and…read moreit has completely gone downhill since her first two years. The current principal isn't on her job well. My non violent daughter, who doesn't know how to fight because she isn't being raised to be a stereotype, was hit in the head several times by a classmate 2 times her size. This happened a day before the ice storm. When the children went back to school I had it in my mind to address the bullying situation, because I need my daughter safe. Especially, since my daughter said that she was afraid of the girl that hit her. They did absolutely nothing to reprimand this student whatsoever. My husband and I went to the principal almost everyday for well over a month. She kept saying that she doesn't know much about it. Although, she's had alot of time to familiarize herself with what had happened. So what does that mean? That she couldn't care less, right? There was no incident report made, and there was supposed to be one. The assistant principal, who handles the disciplinary situations, told the counselor to tell me that they cannot move this child out of the class due to tcap being around the corner. They dropped the ball on this incident big time. I was told that they have a policy that they can never tell the parents what disciplinary action was taken concerning the assault of their child. I can't even explain how upset I was, and to be honest I still get upset at their failures. They failed my daughter, and they failed my husband and I as her parents. Another thing is the familiarity and lack of professionalism that some of the teachers have with parents, as well as the principal, and the assistant principal that I mentioned above, are just downright ridiculous. If you want your child protected for all eight hours, if want your child to be treated with concern and cared for during school hours, if you want professionalism from the staff, if you want your child to receive a quality education, if you want legal incident reports to be filed , and you want a copy of the incident report then don't send your precious child here because this isn't where it's at. (I've been wavering back and forth on whether I should do this because I didn't want to down talk my people. However, all skin folk ain't kinfolk, and did they place that same care and respect towards my child? No, they didn't. So parents need to know what they are getting themselves into. Let's not even talk about the backlash you will receive, and the mistreatment if you advocate for your child; as any good parent should do, amd I mean even the office staff. So no privacy, but gossip about parents...check. Yes, i've called the board, and even the lady said," If they reported the incident." What does that say right there? Alot in my opinion.

Where do I even begin? Zoe was an absolute godsend to me throughout my…read morefertility/pregnancy/birth/postpartum journey. I like to think of myself as a happy medium with eastern and western medicine: I knew that I wanted to give birth in a hospital, have an epidural - but I wanted a doula to help me mind/body/spirit prepare for this incredible journey. Zoe wonderfully catered to me, helped to educate me, and met me where I was with love and understanding. I initially contacted Zoe after trying 6 months to get pregnant with no success. I had voiced my concerns to my OBGYN at Adams Patterson who just disregarded it because it had been less than a year and I was under 35. I don't care if you've been trying for months, years -- it's still painful to not get that plus sign on the pregnancy test. So, I decided to contact Zoe as a first step. She listened to me, reassured me, comforted me. She had me delete the anxiety-inducing apps -- and she walked me through a holistic, healthy way to get pregnant. She helped me to prep my mind, body, and spirit to house a new baby. I soon became pregnant after working with her for two months. I was over the moon - and surprisingly terrified. I wanted this so badly - but now ... what? I worked with Zoe throughout my pregnancy taking her childbirth, breastfeeding, postpartum, and baby care classes. I also saw her for coaching throughout my pregnancy. Due to COVID, all of my classes were online - and Zoe did a great job keeping the classes fun and informative -- as well as comfort me as a first time mama giving birth during a health epidemic. Ladies -- hear this, too: she also consistently checked in on my husband. She made him feel a part of the process - which helped us to bond and prepare for our little one's arrival. My husband didn't quite understand why I needed a doula - but after working with Zoe throughout the pregnancy, he was very comforted and thankful to have her support. Then came the birth. Zoe worked with our hospital (Baptist) to submit the correct paperwork so that she could work with us and be present despite COVID19. THANK YOU, GOD, that Zoe was there. I ended up being induced 8 days past my due date - progressed quickly - completely dilated - but my baby's head went transverse at the end - and she ended up being wedged in my right side. After pushing for 3 hours, I had to have an emergency c-section. I didn't have my mom with me. I clung to my husband's hand. Honestly, I had never been more scared in my life. Zoe comforted my husband and me during a very long day of labor and unexpected outcomes -- and she helped to communicate with my very worried family that couldn't be present due to COVID. We also worked with Zoe postpartum. Zoe came over and helped me with the basics that my tired/sleep deprived brain couldn't comprehend: breast pumps, bottles, swaddles, baby carriers. Zoe took care of me in a time where I had forgotten how to take care of myself and this new little precious baby. She was always available on text, too, for questions, worries, concerns as a new mama. I cannot recommend having Zoe enough. She is such a gift to Memphis. Before I got pregnant, I knew that I wanted to work with a doula. I'm so thankful that I listened to my intuition and found Zoe -- even before COVID19 hit. Zoe has made me a stronger woman - learning to advocate for myself, family, and new baby. Trust your gut as you're reading this review and hire Zoe. You will be so grateful.
