The school is set on the edge of a wildlife reserve, and was built amongst swampy forest, with wildlife and plenty of trees to set a scene respectful of education and nature. The athletics at this school are obviously a priority. The fieldhouse is large and contains not one, but two gyms, workout space, ample locker rooms, and more. Our children take swimming lessons at the covered pool- also at the pool is where Memphis Thunder swim team practices. swimpoolschool.com for more info. The school is based in Christian education, though the idea lives more in the values of the school, and is not thrust upon students every day with drills. Kids get along, and are all different and have their own gifts & talents, which seem to be encouraged and supported.

NSA is a multi-accredited school with actual campuses around the world, as well as offering online classes with or without virtual Zoom classes! My teenager and her friend have enrolled so they may still feel connected to friends, and make new ones, around the world! I am happy for them. :) Btw, I read another review that colleges do not accept their transcripts. That is not true, so perhaps they were referring to another school w/a similar name(?). Note: "NorthStar Academy holds dual accreditation from Cognia through the regional office of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). NSA has maintained accreditation standards since November 2005; it was the first online Christian school to receive accreditation. NorthStar Academy has a wide range of approved NCAA courses in both our regular and EVP formats.
