The entire Castro Hand Car Wash Team and Manager Juan provided the very highest level of service with regard to their detail service . I made the initial appointment with Juan and on the day of service all I had to do was drop the keys off . The Polish and Wax detail service provided went above and beyond my expectations. Mirror finish no swirls what so ever !!!! 10/10 :) I left with a smile on my face . Thankyou Juan & Castro Hand Car Wash staff ! read more

They did a top notch job in a short amount of time. The area around the buttons on the radio looked terrible. I thought it was wear and tear. Nope! It was just dirty. I did not tip as I was not sure what I was getting. I will be sure to double tip next time! Thanks. It was worth the price. read more

This place supplies an outstanding car wash service and stands by their customer's satisfaction. I was unhappy with a car wash that I received 2 weeks prior and the manager made sure everything came out to my satisfaction he personally went the extra mile. I truly recommend Castro hand car wash. Btw: I own an SUV. read more

Moved to Des Plaines three years ago and this is a neighborhood gem! The team here have their process on cleaning the cars and haven't had any issues on any of my cars. Staff is friendly and even with the new car wash built there's a lot of local customers that have stayed committed to the business. Prices are fair and usually go for the #4 on the wash. read more

Very fast and good car wash. Good price and service. Recommend this place. Friendly staff read more

These guys were amazing! They did a great job and it was super affordable. 10/10 recommend.

I discovered this place on accident while getting gas and have previously gotten my car cleaned #5 interior and exterior with floor at cleaning. Always satisfied. Today I decided to get the hand wax which is 70 in addition to the interior and exterior wash #5. total 110.00. They made the car look brand new and free of bird poop. I will be doing the wax again before winter. Thanks guys! read more

Best car wash I've had in a long time. This one is close to my job so it was my first time there and after reading reviews thought let's see how true it is that they do an amazing job ?! Confirmed they do I will start going here during my lunch break but beware if 5 cars are in front of you like I was it took an hour and 20 min to get my car since they do take their time to ensure your car is squeaky clean and dry and shines !! read more

I've been in Des Plaines for over 10 years and never knew this place was right here. They are an absolute hidden gem and the guys here do a ridiculously good job! Customer service was excellent prices were fair and they got my truck in and out of there quickly and it looks brand new. Love it & highly highly recommend! read more

I've been here twice and both times they did an amazing job washing and cleaning my car.

Has been my goto car wash as it is. Hand car wash. But this time, I don't know what the reason was - the owner Juan C did a shoddy job with a exterior wash.. Compaints: 1. Corners were cut while washing. Car had a white stain on bumper which was still as-is after wash and wax. I clarified with Juan - the owner and pointed it out to him on the spot. His response - this has to be waxed and polished for a total of $250. I came home and Sprayed Bug And Tar remover, let it wait for a min and used microfiber towel to clear and voila the stain was gone. Cmon - if you can not do your job properly, with how a hand car wash is supposed to, you don't deserve my business. I tried calling the shop to notify them before posting this review to give them a chance to rectify,, but no one picked up. I GUESS this shop will lose at least one loyal customer. read more

I've been going to this place for the last seven years. It's one of the few hand-washing spots in the NW suburbs, and they do a great job. Prices are on par with the spinning brush car washes but without the damage. read more

I got a really detailed clean for a really good price. I would send anyone here :) I'm now a repeat customer! read more

They are very reasonably priced, and every car I have taken there has been well cleaned. The only downside is that sometimes there is a long line, but that just speaks to the quality of their business. All the workers that interact with you are pleasant and explain the process. read more

I've been coming to Castro's for years. Hands down the best car wash. Everyone who works there are super friendly and they remember their customers! Love Castro's. read more

Wish I could give a five star. We came for a simple car wash, #5 in their menu, meaning it is not their basic. When we came home, we realized that the trunk was never cleaned. Mind you it was an empty trunk that we had purposely emptied it so they could clean it faster. I called immediately but they never answer, couldn't even leave a message. Left a message through messenger because they don't have a website. Never got an answer. I really wanted to support this business. read more

This place did a really great job with cleaning my car. I will definitely go back here. Fair price. Amazing hardworking and very reliable people. Fast and dependable service. I would caution you to keep an eye out for the gas station, I think it was Mobil gas station. The car wash is tucked in near this gas station. I got lost a little bit, but soooo glad to find it. I went there Saturday morning, I felt like I was second or third in line. Other customers are very friendly people too. A great place to take your car for washing!! I will come back again soon. read more

Way too overpriced for the low quality wash will tell you one price on sign then up charge you later this place just keeps getting more expensive and the wash quality becomes lower and lower would rate it zero stars but I can't read more

The best hand wash around, they really make sure they take care of your car and take their time with the wash most importantly

The car wash is the best in the north side of Chicago. I've been coming here for years

I always take my car here, at least 1 once every 1-2months. They are quick, detailed and very affordable when compared to similar places. They will never lose my business read more

This place is great!! I spilled coffee on my seat and called places near me to get it taken care of right away. They were so accommodating and nice about everything. Service was great-my seat looks awesome. They cleaned my car and washed the outside all for $40. I'll definitely be coming back to get my car fully detailed here. Great place with awesome service. Would definitely recommend. read more

My first visit here was a few days ago and the rave reviews on here are not wrong. I came on a Thursday before 11 so I caught their Early Bird special ($13.95) that runs during the week and before certain times (check out my photo for exact details) it applies to cars only and cash only for the "Basic in and out " service (menu also in pictures) I haven't had my interior cleaned for an embarrassingly long time so the work was cut out for the fellas. Not that it was filthy per se but definitely needed a good vacuum and dusting. While you wait for your car there is a small waiting room with a TV and magazine to keep you entertained. There is also a locked Tip Box on the counter inside for you to leave something for the hardworking guys. By the time they finished washing the interior and exterior and exterior was hand dried, it was give or take 20-25 minutes service only. This does not include me waiting in line with one car ahead of me. So realistically speaking- my guess would be - if you see a line you may be waiting more than 30 min from being in line to finish at the very least and more if there are a whole bunch of cars. If this is the case, use your judgment if you are on a time crunch and don't get upset that there is a long wait. It's pretty unfair to rate a place poorly based on unrealistic expectations. You wouldn't want them to rush through your car and finish in like 10 minutes doing a half a$$ job right, so don't expect them to rush through others. Anyway I had a great first experience here and plan to come back for future visits! read more
