Shameka like her patty melt. Kenn and Antanaysiah grit that their steaks were tender and cooked to perfection. The Cajun shrimp and lobster linguine was mouth watering goodness. I loved that the Alfredo sauce was made from scratch, The pork chop was juicy and tender; so Asante had no complaints. The salmon was flaky and sweet so Vince liked the veggies that was with it. The bbq bacon wrapped shrimp was devine and sooo good. Josh and Candice really enjoyed them. Jade loved the taste of the couscous with the shrimp. The fries were hot and on point with the garlic Parmesan. KJ said his chicken wings were seasoned with just the right amount of sauce, The salad was crispy and yummy. They loved the creaminess of the mash potatoes and the texture of the veggies. The place was cleaned, neatly decorated and the bathrooms were clean too. Oliver was simply amazing. As I have the past several times here, I went with the egg and carnitas tacos. I added a side of fresh fruit...both the eggs and fruit were very good. As the Benedict my wife loved is no longer on the menu, she had the avocado toast with eggs. She added a large size of the breakfast potatoes and was glad she did. While she liked the taste of the avocado toast, she was very disappointed in the small size of the portion. She wish she had more. One daughter had the Mardi Gras omelette for the first time. While she liked the flavor, the fact that the ham was a full slice (lunchmeat style), as opposed to chunks or cubes, was weird...and required cutting with a knife. The other daughter tried the quiche for the first time and loved it. It is one of the better quiches around. Coffee is very good as well. Service was fine for the most part.

We also love to learn any history about where we've moved as we know nearly nothing! The tour starts & ends at the museum which is a cool building chock full of stuff that you actually get to browse before or after the event. You really do walk all over the downtown for the tour & I loved that the guide went all out dressing up for the Halloween season. I'll take any excuse to walk around CR as it's so charming but we really did learn a ton & see many details that you just don't notice when your rushing to meet your party for dinner at the local restaurant. I hope they are able to keep doing this tour. We had a good size group & it seemed like all their other tours were either full or full with a waitlist. And the tours are free! Though consider donating as it keeps the lights on. Definitely a fun way to spend an evening you can easily top off or begin at one of the great places to eat in town. I know after the tour I'll certainly never look at a lot of the buildings the same way!

Quaint, cute, decent selection, good children's section and they feature local authors. Support your local bookstores!!! They are wonderful. If you didn't know, this is a mini-food hall of sorts. There are several food vendors: a Bar at the top, a restaurant I've yet to visit alongside it, as well as several spots to eat downstairs. Downstairs they have : - A bagel spot (get there early for the best selection and don't be disappointed if they run out- that's what it means to have fresh baked daily!) - A great BBQ spot (this is coming from a KC native and BBQ critic!) - Apres coffee - a cute coffee shop with alternative milks and Italian sodas options. - A stuffed pita restaurant (I'm sorry I don't know the name!) - Gluttony and Graze, for salads and gourmet hot dogs and burgers - And don't sleep on the cute little kiosk to order Mexican food! I didn't get a chance to check it out, but it's next on my list to try! Though, please note all of these places have different operating hours - though you're mostly safe Wed-Sun. He saw the granite slabs across the creek so we walked on the to the other side. How fun! The steps up are taller than my short legs :) but I made it. The stalls were arranged in the park and we wandered down them. So many things to look at. Some talented people and cool food items. Peanuts cooked right in their shells, hot sauces, cookies and meat products. Great stocking stuffer and gift ideas. Jewelry and clothing items, household decor and music. Everyone was so nice and I even got to meet someone I follow on instagram and try her cookies. I enjoy this park and discover new things when I come. This time it was a little library. I love those as I like borrowing a book and bringing one to give.

The woman at the cash register asked if we wanted sweet and/or hot peppers, we went with both! OMG, it could not have been better! Delicious, messy, spicy and BIG! I was so happy she picked that one, it was so darn good. I would order that sandwich again in a heart beat. I had to stop back by the order counter to let them know how super good it was. I'll admit, this location is weirdly arranged and kind of small, but gets the job done. We were greeted by the woman behind the counter, placed our order (Hot Italian for me and Wagyu Cheesesteak for him) and within about 10 minutes our food was ready! Each sandwich is made from scratch each order, so the wait was no problem. My hot Italian was decent - would have loved if the bread was toasted, but was tasty, nonetheless. My husband was happy with his sandwich and chips as well. It is kind of pricey - but for the quality of food and today's prices, it's not terrible. Just something to be aware of! One criticism, I don't know if they were understaffed or what, but the entire space was filthy. Crumbs, lettuce, napkins and used cups were all over the tables, floors and counter. Just created a dirty vibe, but one that was quickly overlooked after clearing our own space and eating. Next time, I'll happily eat outside!
