We love this PPLD location. The building is big, spacious, and organized. The front of the building…read morehas nicely shaded grassy areas for you to sit and read a book. Theres lots of parking available and we like the drive up book drop off. We spend most of our time in the kids section. There's a cute reading area with lots of seating and some toys for little ones to play with. There are tables for coloring and computers with games. There are many other resources available at this library. Every time we come here we find something new. It truly is a gem in our community.

We love coming here because there's always something to do. They have read aloud time for the little ones, they offer a quiet area where you can study and also have a gaming room too. Of course my kids were excited and wanted to go in but keep in mind that there's certain times permitted. Staff are always so helpful. From the kids area, teens and upstairs at the customer service table, they're available to lend a helping hand. A bonus is that they offer a charging station for cell phones outside their building. You'll need a 4-digit code to access it. Definitely check it out if you're in the area.

I spent most of my time in the kids area with my little one, but the rest of this place is huge, there's plenty of space to work or read alone and not be disturbed, not to mention classes and programs you can sign up for online to attend, and great conference areas. Everything they did she had a problem with. It was like she was having a bad day and looking for any reason to snap at them. She ran the other two families away and then it was just my two kids. My oldest daughter went over to her and asked nicely for one of the craft bags that she was putting out. Instead of just handing my daughter one, she told her no not until I'm done, even though all she was doing was literally setting them out. I went to report the experience, and even then, she followed me to the front desk trying to get me to leave without speaking to someone first. I hope the library has cameras that will pick up her nasty tone and attitude. Someone like that really shouldn't be working around children. I say all this with such sadness. Libraries have always been a safe place for me. They are usually a safe place for children, full of such kind, helpful librarians. I share this feedback in hopes that this situation can be corrected.

The small one is like a small jungle gym one but the big one, in the junior room, is a proper curved one that even i took a ride on. I love that this cafe does seasonal drinks too to mix it up. One of my favorite features is on the second floor they have a balcony with rocking chairs that has a view of the mountains in the distance. There is a great kids section with tons of books and tons for them to play. We came once on Thursday morning for story time too. For those working remote they have a phone booth for making private calls on the second floor near elevators. They've even got self checkout and electric car chargers!

First, this is one of three Carnegie libraries here in the Springs. Carnegie was a philanthropist and one of the things he built were libraries. His foundation would allow cities to apply for grants and agree to certain requirements and made sure they would remain public. Supposedly, he was inspired by the reading rooms that women were organizing throughout the country. The collection of books are only on the main floor of the building, but this library (like with most libraries in the Springs) is part of the Pikes Peak Library District so you can order, borrow, and drop off books at any of the locations within the system. This library will celebrate 120 years this Saturday on Dec 7, 2024. They will be offering a swap out of your library card with a limited edition card if you drop in on Saturday. They do have their own parking lot as well which is super convenient especially if you're just doing a quick book drop off. I found a nice spot to setup and complete my reports and other business matters. The first floor has the kids section and the second floor is for people that want to read, do homework, or set up their laptops for work. As some people collect visits to coffee shops and the like, I collect visits to libraries, and this place was a good stop.
