This particular branch butts up to a beautiful park with water features, gardens and more. In fact, the second floor of this library provides a serene view of Civic Green Park, alongside cozy, well-cushioned armchairs tucked in bright corners and ergonomically friendly office chairs on wheels, facing broad desks for laptop use, backpacks and paper writing. The second hand bookstore upstairs often offers sales and it's a fun escape to browse the selection on hand. There are private conference rooms for studying, along with strong WiFi, as well as an enticing children's section with colorful play stations. My favorite time of year to visit is without a doubt the holiday season. The staff goes all out with themed Christmas trees stocked full of whimsy, wonder and inspiration. Parking can get tight, depending on calendar events, but there is overflow parking next door. The bathrooms are always clean and well stocked, on both the first and second floor. It got pretty busy as it was almost story time. We ended up leaving early because the kids area got a little crowded. Overall, not a bad library. Parking isn't too crazy either. They have street parking and a parking garage.

Walk-ability around the parking lot grounds is lovely, fresh cut grass, trees, seating and some shaded parking. The Parking lot is Huge, plenty of room for all meetings and clients! The meeting is immediately gracious at the front desk. To the right side of entrance there is a cafe with Croissant, chia, coffees to your taste and other delights with sitting and "Wifi" Sitting is all around in comfy chairs, plenty of books to read AND, Take a stroll down the beautify stair or elevator. There are desks a plenty, some covered, some large some small. AND a larger meeting room upstairs. Meeting private rooms from 1/2 hour to 3 hours, must schedule in advance!! Personally, I have spent many of hours in this library with my "Service Dog" by my side. Bathrooms up and down stairs, PLUS SEPARATE AREA FOR THE KIDDOS!! Its a 2 story building with the main study and reading section on the upper level. At the time of my visit the parking lot was not crowded and the homeless people inside were peaceful and quiet, mainly just looking somewhere to get out of the mid day summer heat. An interesting point of this location was the free snacks by the front door and not just any snacks but healthy snacks such as veggies and yogurt. Good place to come to read, do homework or catch up on business.

The DVD was on the shelf where it was supposed to be, so my mission was a success. The building is quite striking on the outside with interesting materials and architecture, nice landscaping, and a large parking lot. It was completed in 1962 as the last of four branches financed by the Frederick R. Ross Trust. The design has held up very well as it still looks quite fresh and contemporary. There was a major renovation in 1994. The inside is much less interesting, but appears well-stocked with a large selection of books, various media, computers, and a good children's area.
