A small yet well stock library ... and the people working there are so kind, patient, and knowledgable.

This is a small to medium sized library in the Southglenn shopping district. As soon as you enter the front door you must go up the stairs or take the elevator as the whole library is on the second floor. The décor is nice with different displays of art and it also has a outdoor patio and several little space capsule looking booths that you can sit in, but the internet access is very restricted here, I was unable to connect to my remote work server, rendering my visit practically useless. This library is a fantastic place to bring your kids to check out books but to play as well. They have all their toys clearly labeled and a sanitizing station making sure that things stay nice and clean. My baby loved their large puzzle pieces which were fully interactive. The staff is helpful in showing you good book choices for the age group you are looking in. read more

This is such a cute little library. It's not the biggest but it has everything you could need. It also has great windows and lots of natural light coming through. We have been enjoying the baby story time at this location as well. You need to register ahead of time but it's put together very well and such fun for the kiddos. read more

The librarians are all extremely helpful and kind! I enjoyed just talking to them as well as sharing thoughts on literature.

This library is great for studying with its large windows and natural lighting. There are tables, both standard and bar height, as well as large comfy chairs that you can pair with small portable desks on wheels. The flooring has circular floor vents scattered throughout to keep you comfortably cool and the facility from smelling like musty books. Covered parking is available across next to the movie theatre for the hotter days so your car isn't left in the scorching heat. A nice selection of books seems to be available as well. read more

Smaller than a few other libraries in Arapahoe library district. There is no separate room for kid's story time but Ms. Georgia does a great job. She makes it a point to talk to all the kids during the play time. They have an awesome outdoor reading area, perfect for summers. Kids can play with lego, puzzles and other toys. The drawback is that the books returned at this location sometimes take days to get reflected on the portal. read more

LOVE spending time at this Library! It's SO CLEAN and inviting. The organization and layout makes it easy to locate items of interest, but if one DOES need help, the staff there couldn't be more accommodating and helpful. We really enjoy the themed decorations, especially for the Summer Reading Programs. I'm hoping they begin hosting more gatherings, now that programs are being planned again. There are no study carrels, and it's impossible to find a book by browsing the stacks, because they use neither Dewey Decimal nor Library of Congress. If you go to the library for library functions, try Koelbel instead. read more

My all-time favorite library. Southglenn moved to this location last summer, it's located at the Streets of Southglenn. The new location just like the old one is rather small. There isn't a lot of material at the branch, but by using their website you have access to every item of the Arapahoe Library District. Not only that by clicking Prostector Search you can search for material of other libraries. I have been able to borrow from the Denver Public Library. Southglenn Public Library has saved me a lot money. I have no need for Blockbuster or Netflix. Most of the movies that are released are here. You'll just need to place a hold on them and you'll be able to borrow them for a week. Librarians have been always helpful. They have solved any problem I had. There are meeting rooms you can use as well as personal computers. And WiFi access! read more

I had a big exam last month, and when I got tired of studying at my house, Southglenn Library was a lifesaver. They have a lot of comfortable tables and chairs, power outlets are everywhere, and there's a lot of natural light, which creates an environment very conducive to studying. The patio is nice too, and even has power outlets. Even in the group study areas where a lot of people are there, it seemed to stay quiet as people managed to stay at a reasonable volume. They also allow you to bring in drinks and snacks as long as you're not in the books section, which is a perk when you're there for the long haul. Book selection seems good for the size of the library, if not fantastic. Their used book sale has some great deals. WiFi is all around, although very tricky to set up if you're unlucky enough to have Windows 8. Personnel are friendly and helpful. I don't have kids, but it looks like they had some pretty cool programs for the little ones out there, and I support anything that gets kids to read instead of watching TV. Parking is easy in the Southglenn garage across the street. I was spoiled with some very nice university libraries in grad school, but as far as community libraries go, this is a great spot! read more

Really like this library! They have nooks you can check out! How cool is that?? I am not sold on the digital book but figured I would give it a try. Why not? I get to use it for 3 weeks for free. I am more of a book addict...love the pages and actual physical book...but guess I will see if one of these (or kindle or some version of it) ends up on my birthday or Christmas wish list! :) read more

This is one of the coolest libraries I've ever been to. It's on the second floor and there's a balcony so you can read or study on the balcony and enjoy the nice weather. I love the location since its in the middle of the shopping center and there are lots of areas to do some quiet reading or studying. read more

This is an unexpected gem. Didn't even know there was a library here until the Summer Reading Program took me and the kids here. Surprisingly large, very clean, great selection, kids' toys and activities, and really nice people. Did I mention there's a green screen area? How fun is that? read more

This library is tucked into the southern edge of the South Glenn shopping area. It's not real big but is very bright, airy, and comfortable. What I like best is there is plenty of seating areas if you want to stop and do some reading or research. Most of the seating is close to large north-facing windows, so you get light but not the blinding sunshine. There is also a faux-fireplace which adds to the comfort level. The library has about a dozen PC terminals for internet access. These often fill up by noon, but you can reserve a terminal and when someone's time runs out they'll be kicked off. There's also a quiet room and a children's area. The book selection is not the best. Some categories (like transportation/autos) have virtually no books on hand. Others section, like cook books. fiction, and children's seem well stocked. There's a good DVD choice too. One down side to this library is the parking. There is a mammoth parking garage across the street, but it's often filled on the side nearest the library. The other best option is parking near Sears, but it's not convenient for a quick stop. There is sometimes a steady stream of cars coming down Vine Street too. Cross at your own risk! read more

Every since they've remodeled Southglenn, it is amazing. The library is no exception. They had a fire going with armchairs and portable laptop tables you can roll right up to your seat by the fire. Great staff, sweet location, big improvement! read more

Located in the Arapahoe Library district, this library is a nice to visit, beautifully laid out and easy to browse. Now that they have Pickup only, the Southglenn Library associates are still patient, kind and helpful. They will respond quickly to inquiries when a patron is calling 333-LIBRARY, giving all the time needed to find what you need and to arrange for pickups. I wholly second the first review. Southglenn Library is a great resource. I've been using it since it was located across from Arapahoe Highschool. Now it is a brand new facility in the Streets of Southglenn. You can place a hold online on anything available in the Arapahoe Library district and have it sent to to the most convenient library in the district. You are notified by email when you can pick it up and you can find it in the library under your lastname in a specified section of the shelves. Southglenn has several convenient automatic checkout stations and lots of helpful librarians. You are notified again by email when it anything is coming due. The free parking garage is right across from the library with plenty of free spaces. The Streets of Southglenn are pretty cool, too. read more

This library may be small and as a result has a smaller selection of reading material, HOWEVER this is my favorite library in the Arapahoe County District. Very well designed with lots of little sitting areas, fantastic natural lighting, and outdoor patio and did I mention they have a huge selection of MAC computers. Really a great place to go meet clients, work on projects and get some quite time in. read more

Libraries aren't what they used to be and its great! This branch has a huge audio and video selection as well as all of the latest books, magazines and newspapers. They even have a green screen for making videos and a recording studio! read more
