But I also got a toy, which was 30 bucks overpriced, so boo... but, it was, ahem... worth it. That's all i'm gonna say about that. They also redid the store about a year ago and it's much better organized and there's a lot more merch. They have a headshop section with "smoke" stuff downstairs. Some interesting things if you're into that. They had silicone bongs which I've never seen before. I don't know anything about that stuff, but it was kinda neat. They also have some funny weed related novelty items that would make nice gifts for the pothead in your life.... They made the clothing section downstairs smaller, which was a smart move. They've gotten more choosy with what they stock. Mostly all stuff for skinny bitches though. Boo. Upstairs, all the sex stuff. Again, mostly for skinny bitches, lots of gear for exotic dancers like wigs and costumes. Way less shoes than they used to have. Cindy's is still a better bet for people who are in the business of turning people on for a living. They have a very limited selection of costumes for men. Boo. Same for chubby chicks. But I found 4 things that I liked and fit, so yay, not a total loss. They have a variety of novelty items for pre-wedding festivities like penis straws and ice cube trays. There's a limited selection of sex toys... mostly just vibrators and cock rings. Some of their vibrators are the higher quality silicone stuff though. If you're into really hardcore fetish stuff, you're out of luck. The only place in town that has that stuff is Castle, and even their selection is limited (and no, I'm not into fetish stuff... but I figured some people might wanna know, so I'm including this in my review for their benefit.) So if you're looking for any kind of S&M, swings, clamps, pony play, double ended toys, etc, your best bet is online. Unfortunately for me they do not carry this scent body wash or really any body washes that saw in store. The good news is that I was able to order a set online while waiting at the checkout. Normally that would sound like a lose lose situation. Fortunately for me though, they had a $70 body wash set in my favorite Pure Seduction scent on sale for around $28. What a deal!! Their clothes, shoes, and accessories are definitely made with quality materials. They have the biggest selection of women's plus-size clothing here in Anchorage, but still not a wide enough selection for me. I always found it weird that Torrids bra sizes aren't very plus at all. DDD is the largest cup size they carry. Although they do carry band sizes up to 50. I don't buy anything from here unless I have a coupon and/or there's a sale. This particular Torrid store is nothing noteworthy, but I have had some...interesting interactions with the staff over the years. The first time I went in there just for a strapless bra. The girl at the register asked me like three times if I wanted to sign up for their rewards program or credit card or whatever. I've worked in retail so I get that asking is part of your job, but as soon as a customer says "no", stop. Just stop. Fast forward a few years and I go to look for a bra again. Nordstrom is my store of choice for bra shopping since they have the widest selection and best quality, but of course the price tag reflects that. Apparently, despite being a plus-size store, the largest cup size they carry is DDD. I asked one if the employees if maybe they had my size since I couldn't find it. And you know what she does instead of helping me find the bra like she should have done? She looks at me in disbelief and says that's no way that's my bra size. REALLY? Why would I lie about my size when I'm shopping for clothing? Just to prove her wrong I had an employee do an amateur size measuring on me, which confirmed I was in fact the size I said I was. I felt vindicated after that and decided to leave without buying anything. So now the only reason I go to this Torrid is if I place an online order since you get free shipping if you have your order shipped to a store for pickup. Here's a tip Torrid: don't accuse your customers of lying about their size and just don't harass them in general. You should be lucky you've gotten any money from me at all after that BS.

They have a wide variety of things like home decor that I don't feel like all the other stores have. My wife and I have been talking about adding some new adventures to lives. We did some research online and figured out what direction we were heading. My wife is very shy and didn't want to go into the store so we made a few trips over the week and i would go in get some info and come out report the info as best as I could to my wife but the info Jeremy was sharing with me was to much. I convinced my wife to go in told her how nice the staff was. When we walked in everyone said hi and that set the mood so when Jeremy came over to talk to us he made my wife laugh right from the start and set her at ease. So long story short i spent almost 600 dollars at Castle and plan to go back and pick up a few more thing in the near future. read more

Truth be told, never judge a book by its cover. So true here. Walking up, it doesn't look like much on the outside. The amazing is on the inside. I did a whirlwind tour of the lingerie and adult shops in Anchorage. This one tops the list for sure. Visually appealing. The store was well laid out and very bright. Items were sorted into like groups so it was easy to look around. It is large and has the largest selection by far. I found more items there than I saw elsewhere. The two reps greeted me and welcomed me to ask questions. It was a relaxed atmosphere to shop. Would I recommend? Absolutely yes!! read more

Customer service was great! I was at Store 16. On the way into the store there was a sketchy guy that approached my car, I managed to get inside before he could get too close, but had forgotten my mask. So an employee, Mark, escorted me to my car and after I was finished shopping, he escorted me to back to my car.
