I have to confess that I sought out the Camera Service Centre for a pretty stupid reason - a switch…read moreon my SLR had been flicked the wrong way and I neglected to check before looking for expert advice. Having got there however, I took advantage of the opportunity to give my favourite gadget a long overdue service. A week later I collected a 'waxed and polished' version, complete with new strap (they had a spare and noticed mine was fraying) and working much more smoothly. Can't doubt the centre's expertise - it's been there thirty years (and shows off samples of a good collection of all the versions its seen in that time!) - and the service was reasonably priced. Also appreciated the advice: if a camera's less than $200 or so new, it's rarely worth repairing.

We had done a little research online of course as you do. We talk to the staff and they show us two models they have. Very pushy and asking "do you want to buy it" before we'd even had a good look. After looking we asked if they had another model, this is the one we saw online that was the editors pick. The staff got furious and said that other one doesn't exist, only these two, and started abusing us like "why do you want to look at another one, I tell you this is the good one you should buy this one". Then another staff joined in and were almost threatening us to buy now or else. Are you serious? And I say again I've been to other Paxton's before and the staff were friendly unlike this store.

I know most of you reading this would think that is the obligation anyway but this was on Boxing Day, they were very busy and I must say no other JB hifi store that I've been to have the amount of friendly staff that Leichhardt has. Thanks again to the Team at JB Leichhardt!
