If I could I would give them no stars. they only care about how many people they can get in and out with braces, it's all about the money and not the actual care of the patient. They have all they're patients in the middle of a big room getting whatever they are getting done on they're teeth, not in room and it's super easy to get in to get braces and make you sign a digital contract without reading it. And then when you decide that you no longer want to continue the "treatment plan" and want the braces off they don't have no appointments available until months later, so they want you to suffer with the braces on. DO NOT GET BRACES ON HERE. They do not care about the patient at all. Even almost laugh in your face. not a good orthodontics to go through. read more

I thought this would be a great place to do braces but its the complete opposite they have horrible service, communication and not clean areas many things are rusted and for how much they charge they be getting a janitor. I went to this location for a consult because reviews were good and honestly I wanted to like it because it was Hispanic doctors. They trap you by offering to place the braces that same day (couldn't say no to the kiddo, my mistake). However, after the second visit, I soon regretted not checking out the other places I also had consults with before going through with it. list of cons: *A bracket fell off the week after placement (they took us back way late (almost 40 mins)) and they were rushing. The scheduler came around asking how much longer because they were benhind, so she rushed. * Waiting room gets crowded because they over book. * The parking lot is horrible, limited and so small. Rare when you don't struggle waiting in the middle of the road until one opens. * The tools they use are rusty After we paid them off way ahead of time, it (the service) seemed to get worse. *Almost always wait 30mins AFTER the appointment time * Almost no communication to parent or kid about what they are doing. * They once used bands that were left over from another client (still on the frame, but not put back in a clean spot) and just tossed on the dusty counter. (I noticed they were on their dirty station as soon as I sat down) my child asked for that same color and they just grabbed the ones I saw and used those) * The techs have long nails and aren't careful. They pinched my child on multiple occasions. * They aren't careful when getting the colors the kids ask (we had this happen twice) they didn't match the colors right and my child hated it. I wanted to go speak out so many times and head back to fix things, but the child didnt "want to cause a scene" pick your battles, they say. We're so glad to be done with this place. We now take our kids to another office and I would not recommend Castillas to anyone who asks. read more

I would not recommend this orthodontics, because it's always super packed there's no parking . But mainly because ever since we have been coming here we have only seen the actual owner once or twice and we have been here over a year she's supposed to come and check braces from time to time but since she is very busy she pretty much has no time. And the environment just feel overwhelming she has a lot of employees but the feels are very rude . We also came here since it's bilingual friendly but that's definitely not the case. So I would not recommend nor will I be returning with my other kids read more

If I could leave ZERO i would. DO NOT COME HERE. THIS PLACE SERIOUSLY SUCKS. CHARGING PPL who are no longer customers of yours and then telling me there's nothing you can do about it is extremely unethical. The front desk girls are RUDE. They don't even try to sound helpful at this point, and must not get paid enough to care. And the dentist, Dr. Castilla (the wife), who worked on me never said two words to me the entirety of my time there.. EXTREMELY cold, judgmental, rude and disrespectful. SERIOUSLY DO NOT GO HERE. There's wayyyy better dentists in the area who will take their time with you and with great customer service. DR CASTILLA, I WOULD LIKE MY REFUND ASAP. I was told weeks ago that my card was no longer on file and would not be charged. So one of your staff lied to my face. I told the lady at the front desk that this was very important that my card be taken off, as I would have rent the following week and I had a feeling they would still charge it, even tho I terminated my contract with them. And yet, my card still gets charged, now I'm being told there is nothing that anyone can do!?! I asked to speak to a manager, the front desk lady named patty told me that literally no one was there above her who could take my call. Throughout my time at Castilla, the doctors are never in. And I never received a physical examination from the doctor upon my initial interview. They simply send an unqualified sales person to pass on any medical information the doctor gives. Dr. Castilla never even looked at me before sending me off to sign contracts. It's all about the money, and please DR CASTILLA, girl, you need to do WAY WAY better when it comes to customer service and talking to your patients. Why would I want someone in my mouth and in my personal space who A) would not introduce themselves to me upon arrival, or at the very least say "hello" B) never took the time to properly examine me, like other dentists do when a patient first begins treatment. C) someone who makes you feel rushed and almost as a means to an end. I felt like cattle getting pushed in and out for quick easy money. You guys are in the MEDICAL FIELD. As a nurse, I know that people find it difficult or scary to go to the dentist, and I believe that it is up to the dentist and staff to make people feel comfortable. When I called to speak to a a manger, Patty told me they are out of office. The dentist is NEVER in the office. It's extremely difficult to book any appointments, even as a paying customer. I got my braces here but in the end I was not happy because I have so much glue left over on my teeth that they look disgusting, especially on my bottom. They are so quick to get you out of there and only care about money. I recommend not coming here. Better places somewhere else with better pricing and staff. read more

A lot of pretty fluff and games. Friendly staff (the ones that stay), competitive rates, financing plans make it more affordable than you might think. However, they use old technology and the doctor is available only for very brief encounters, questions are brush off. Finally, months after the date when my braces were to be removed I became exasperated and furious (my entire teeth touch on one tooth) that I didn't have answers and apparently, neither did she. Sadly, I'm on to the next orthodontist (just what every senior wants to do) who does offer the technology that I needed in the first place. I have to start over, new braces and another two to three years. At least my new orthodontist talks with me, examines me prior to each treatment. The doctor is not a part of the consult process at Castilla, that's a sales person. So - if you are not someone that can be handled in a production line - you, any questions or problems become lost in the shuffle. I was. One meet & greet with this doctor & team is all it will take for you to know that this is DEFINITELY only one of the best! The only thing I don't like about this place us that the appointments for treatment are scheduled so far out, if you can't make it to the appointment then you are put two to three months away for the next available opening. I had use Jfo Orthodontics previously for one of my kiddos, and although they are a bit more pricey they don't put you so far out if you have to reschedule. read more

Do NOT ever do business with this place!! People are struggling right now, people are out of work and struggling just to put food on the table! Some of us are not able to pay our payments due to no income...Dr Eddy Castilla is aware that in our situation there was a job loss and as a result one was suicidal as well as had 2 GrandMal seizures along with depression and anxiety, but still no assistance!!! Makes me sick! Businesses, govt agencies, Utilities, auto finance, Landlords etc etc etc are doing all they can to help those in need! But NOT Castilla Orthodontics! You must come in have your braces removed and then when you are able to afford it or get back on your feet you may come back in and pay for the braces in full! This is wrong on many levels! And due to them having to monitor their progress they have to come off while not being able to catch up....interesting because they dont monitor anyway but every 6-8 weeks and for my daughter its every 8 weeks....If this review is removed just know that it will be all over ever social platform available, as well as the Capitol!! Found this place though their website which is easy to navigate and extremely thorough. I was looking for an orthodontics practice that also worked with adults and both the website and practice did a great job of appealing to grown-ups and kids. The office and examination areas are spotlessly clean and the staff from the front desk to the assistants are wonderfully friendly and professional. They have lots of great little touches that are quite thoughtful: toothbrushes to use before your appointment, snacks and water for afterwards, up to date magazines in the waiting room, and little contests and raffles every month. I've had no trouble scheduling appointments or being seen on an emergent basis for minor problems and I've rarely had to wait more than a couple of minutes to be seen. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone thinking about getting braces. read more

Amazing customer service & they really break the finances down for you to the T! I have two boys getting their work done here and it's awesome. The people are super friendly and there's a little play area for my 4-year old so he doesn't get restless waiting for his brothers...but my all time favorite is the little snack room....coffee! read more

We had the rare experience of one of my girls having braces for a total of 6 years, all with this office. I noticed as this office expanded from a handful of chairs to over a dozen with bodies in them in a center pod simultaneously receiving treatment, that the time with the dr. was driven down to a few moments per visit. When you call because there is wire breakage and the dr. and her husband are on vacation, you will wait and be scheduled out months. The core crew we started with were personable, knowledgeable and reassuring, top-notch professionals, but slowly they were replaced by new staff each time we came. With a large pod type care delivery, I noticed techs don gloves, access a mouth, reach to the communal area for something, re-access the mouth of the patient they had at the moment, and then proceed. I told the dr. and she was not receptive. I will say that Dr. Castilla is beautiful on the outside, but I would not recommend anyone to see her for orthodontic care. read more

My daughter had a positive experience with her braces with Dr. Castilla. However as a divorced father who was paying for his daughter's braces, I had difficulty dealing with billing because personnel changes at the office occasionally lost billing information. My major concern about this office, however, is that their 4 day/week schedule is grossly inadequate relative the number of patients they are treating. Given the large clientele I would think that evening/Saturday hours would be a given. Just today I had to put off my daughter's appointment for more than a month before it was possible to schedule a time that fit Dr. Castilla's and my schedule. If you don't work or can easily take time away from your job, this is the place to go in Salem. If appointments times are limited by your work schedule or other responsibilities, another choice might be wiser. read more
