I only have / had a metal retainer on my bottom teeth and only need to pop in about once every two years. Sadly, after 8ish years, my metal retainer popped off. And now that I'm in Salem, I had to find someone new. I am SO glad I picked here. First, it is the nicest dentist / orthodontist building I have ever been in. Very class, well decorated, it's actually a peaceful place. Second, every single staff member is nice. Genuinely nice. Front desk, the dental assistants, the actual orthodontist, everyone. They were able to put my metal retainer back on quickly, relatively pain free, and easy enough. This time around, the dang retainer popped off again! Only three months after getting it replaced, I called to see if they would put it back on no charge. They happily agreed and scheduled me as early as next day! I went in today and asked if it would be possible to switch from the permanent metal retainer to the evening plastic retainer. They were more than happy to oblige, and still cover it for me! I was able to get in, change the plan, have my teeth checked, and new retainer made all in less than an hour. Amazing experience, amazing people. I will recommend this orthodontist to all my Salem peeps forever!

They have all they're patients in the middle of a big room getting whatever they are getting done on they're teeth, not in room and it's super easy to get in to get braces and make you sign a digital contract without reading it. And then when you decide that you no longer want to continue the "treatment plan" and want the braces off they don't have no appointments available until months later, so they want you to suffer with the braces on. I thought, who better to put it in than the original orthodontist that did my braces. I called to make an appointment an inquire about cost and the staff informed me that he would fix it for free. Ok, great! After all these years, I thought that was pretty cool. I get to the office and no one is in sight. Ok, so I sit and wait. The front office staff were slightly rude. You know the looks you get when someone thinks uh, yeah sure you had treatment here and we can't verify it because we no longer have your records so we have to oblige you. Oh, I guess I should have apologized? Or maybe I should have looked different, more upscale perhaps? I get called back and sit between a couple of tweeners who already know the "routine". Dr. Yenne barely said anything to me. I would have thought he would have made some kind of inquiry or "gee, how have you been after all these years". But Nope! What a pompous a**.... His orthodontic assistant was nice but him? Meh. I am sure it was because he had to do something for free....what a waste of his precious, money making time! He proceeds to drill the old glue off and asks how long I had had the retainer....about 30 years I said. He says, wow, it lasted that long.....and....."this is why I stopped using braided wire about 29 years ago". I felt as if he thought I was lying. Oh, I am sorry that YOU PUT BRAIDED WIRE IN FOR A RETAINER AND NOW YOU HAVE TO DRILL SOME OF THE GLUE OFF! I am sorry that it took longer than five minutes since you had other "paying" customers waiting! Don't offer to fix something for free if you don't really want to do it. Um-kay! He seemed irritated that he had to drill some of the old glue off and add some glue to secure it on. Really? Not to mention he did a crappy job. I had huge glue globs between my teeth that kept peeling off and I also had to floss off and most of his "fixes" have come off, except for one. Boo Dr. Yenne!!!!
