UPDATE: 2/25/19 Everything described below still applies. To include removal of the MMA cage & increasingly dilapidated amenities.
UPDATE: As of 6/3/18, pool hours remain restricted. Assigned parking remains UNASSIGNED. Management remains unconcerned with anything other than new leases & accepting rent payments. Inquiries to management are rebuffed & ultimately ignored. Extremely unorganized and lackadaisical. Their public responses on google & yelp are very different from their disregard & snubs in-office. Broken promises, mis-management, unreasonable tenants, and fees are a reoccurring theme at this property. Read & heed.
RE: NEW POOL HOURS 4/11/18
Thus far, I've been satisfied with my choice to reside here at Castile. Although there have been a few different maintenance issues with my unit, for the most part, I've enjoyed my time here & how responsive management has been regarding those issues. That's why I was extremely disappointed when I received the email from management explaining that the pool hours were being restricted from 24-hours to 8am-10pm. While I certainly understand that the noise in/around the pool has been an issue after 10pm, I don't understand how penalizing an entire community, over the actions of few, is justifiable. Furthermore, I also don't understand how restricting the pool hours to 8am-10pm will alleviate glass bottles, smoking, and cigarette butts throughout the area. The response to restrict the pool hours for the reasons listed seems pretty extreme and draconian. Since Castile employs Capitol Guard & Patrol for security services, maybe a better response is to deal with the specific lease holders whom are found to be violating their lease. Since lease holders are obligated to carry an amenity pass while utilizing the amenities, and only allowed 2-guests per lease holder, shouldn't this be enforced? When there is excessive noise after 10pm (whether at the pool or elsewhere) shouldn't security be called, dispatched to the area, and able to ask the lease holder for their amenity pass & number so that the instance can be reported to management? If security is enabled to enforce the rules, it's logical that less people will attempt to break said rules in fear of individual repercussions. The response to restrict pool hours for the entire community seems like the easiest response rather than enabling security to enforce the rules by actually asking for & verifying amenity passes. If a pass isn't presented then those individuals should be immediately removed from the area and/or the cops being called for trespassing. Penalizing the majority of lease-abiding tenants is extremely unfair and I'm hoping that other residents will weigh-in and hopefully management will respond accordingly. There are other amenities around the property where rules aren't being followed as well. Should those amenities be restricted to 8am-10pm? There are often extremely noisey dogs at the dog park before 8am. There are signs in the dog park that say clean up after your dog. It's clear that's not happening. Should the dog park now have restricted hours? People have glass bottles in the fitness area & rec room all the time, should the fitness area & rec room be restricted to 8am-10pm? How will restricting amenity hours at the pool (& elsewhere) force people to follow the rules? It won't in my opinion. There will still be glass bottles, smoking, and cigarette butts in the area. It only penalizes the community at large. Vegas is a 24-hour city and every complex that I've lived in has had 24-hour amenities as the standard. Such is the case with Elysian at Stonelake, & Elevate by Ovation (Castile's closest competitors). I'm hoping that residents will weigh-in and express their concerns. Castile heavily marketed their 24hr amenities. It's extremely unfortunate that they're now being restricted over the actions of a few bad apples. read more
