Wait time: take out Service: 10/10 (for take out) Food: 7/10 ( collectively for the whole order) Price point: 5/10 Ambience: small local bar/eatery feel Returning: possible The food was OK. I believe they advertised as Guyanese Chinese food. Definitely not the Chinese food you would find in Guyana. But out of all the items the bbq spareribs were the hit of the order and we would definitely get those again.

The girls and I got together to get food and drinks. When we arrived we found seats right away. There was a DJ and Natalie was our server. She was so nice and attentive. I ordered a rum punch which I didn't care for so I stuck with red wine for the night. I also got the house special fried rice and it was ok tasting. What gave this spot 4 stars was the atmosphere and the music. I really enjoyed myself with my girls.

Came for the first time this past Friday and I'm glad that I did! I feel like not being from this area, if you blink you will miss this place! The music is loud and makes you feel at home. I ordered the Jerk Chicken Fried Rice which did not disappoint. The drinks are strong - I had the Rum punch but there is so much to choose from. I'll be back soon and be able to expand on my review so stay tuned!

That's how the bone was packaged in the food!

Restaurant REUSES EATEN FOOD! Spend $100 for dinner for my family and received already eaten chicken pieces and bone! Who know maybe the rice is all from someone else's leftover! DISGUSTING! I know this wasn't an error because freshly cooked food wouldn't be anywhere near the trash where used leftover eaten food should be! This place needs to be SHUTDOWN!! There's also still covid out there! DISGUSTING! Please do not order here and spread the word. From now on I'm throwing my drinks in my leftover food where I eat at so places don't do what this place is doing!

House Fried Rice, seafood rice ! My favorite!! I got it spicy don't underestimate it lol

As always the food is great and the so is the DJ. Me and my bestfriends came for dinner. We sat by the bar. It was only us sitting inside by many people came and went for take out. This fusion of Chinese Caribbean food never disappoints. None of my friends had anything negative to say about the food

The drink "the castaway" is rockin! The fried rice is good but the duck had waaaaaayy to many bones in it for me, made it uncomfortable to eat BUT I would most definitely eat here again. Maybe ill try the jerk shrimp.... I do however, enjoy the comedy shows they put on one Sunday a month. Most of the comedians are side splitting. I also hear the weekend party life here is always packed and fun...I am going to make it my mission to experience it.

Not a bad place... Food is decent. I didn't stick around to see how the crowd fills however seems like a lot of regulars come enjoy themselves and go home. Not bad. Music was good with live DJ. Only disappointment is the jerk chicken. The seasoning was nothing close to jerk seasoning. It was more of a grilled chicken instead. I would go back or order to go.

Shrimp fried rice w/ jumbo grilled shrimp

This place is really good , it makes me feel better to know it's kind of a Caribbean/Chinese cuisine spot. The place was not busy when I went as it was in the afternoon and a Wednesday. Food came out very fast. I ordered shrimp friend rice with jumbo grilled shrimp. Lol I know a lot of shrimp your probably thinking. It was a large platter enough for honestly 3 people to split but if your someone who likes to eat then maybe 2 people. They gave us some type of hot sauce on the side which is very spicy and good if you like spicy stuff.

So-called "Jerk" shrimp

Blah! Is it ME? Or is it that the food that some places are serving are just sub-par? Maybe I'm old? And remember what REAL food tastes like, and not this, this....hell idek what to say about this "food"... If I could give it a big fat ZERO I would! Idk where all the 5 star reviews are coming from but y'all need to STOP IT bc this food ain't hardly worth no 5 stars or even worth driving out of your way to get or even worth putting it into your rotation.... I'm originally from Fl@tbush BK so when I heard JERK, I was thinking JERK- not this mess! First of all the chicken was just roasted or baked or whatever, no seasoning throughout, the yellow rice was just that- colored yellow! No flavor whatsoever, highly disappointed-ugh....

I was visiting the area and decided to get take out from here. The food was way to expensive & tasteless. Very disappointing.

Hong Am Chinese Kitchen - Vegetable Mei Fun

I have heard this place is worth trying. It definitely…read morewas!!!!! I ordered the spareribs and pork fried rice combo, only I got beef fried rice and egg in the rice for an extra fee. The rice was a beautiful brown color, not that bright yellow. It was so extremely tasty, the beef was tender and savory. The ribs were tender and delicious, with a well-balanced flavor. It came with an egg roll that I gobbled up. Next time, I will try the chicken wings (I was watching a guy cut them up and almost added them to my order) and some roast pork egg foo young. If my next experience is as good as the first, I will be picking up food for dinner next time my wife wants Chinese.

Even so, I make my order over the phone, ordering a small, not a large of the delicious Vegetable Mei Fun (due to being quite hungry after a smaller lunch of only 5g of protein a few hours earlier to an appointment). The price difference is a few dollars between the small and large. Still, what if one shows up at the eatery with only enough money to pay for the order set through the phone? The Vegetable Mei Fun is really tasty; my first bite consists of a few onions which are full of light savory-zesty flavor, a main highlight of the meal; every other part of the meal mixes in well, especially with the noodles which carry the flavors well. I don't find a need to add any other sauce though do add sauce to try the flavors mixing. All of the sauces mesh well with the ingredients though are not necessary. The original flavors of the meal are more than fine. The meal is quite filling. The eatery does not seem to have any set place for a customer to eat indoors. The eatery accepts different forms of payment. There is a dollar charge if one uses a debit card (which may be in connection with a minimum order amount).

Let me get one thing straight. Shan Shan Noodles doesn't care about this review. They don't care if…read moreyou come. Why? Because they are busy AF. They are buzzing. We went for the first time Sunday at like 3pm? Full. Take out orders flying out the door. It's a cute place. Standard strip mall aesthetic. But they do have a window where you can see them hand pulling the noodles. That's right, hand pulling the noodles which is the main attraction. The food is from the North Western part of China near Pakistan so there are some Indian influences like their Cumin lamb and pulled noodles one of their most popular dishes. But I'm getting ahead of myself. With my vegetarian wife who as usual ruins everything by insisting we order vegetarian appetizers. Scallion pancakes were delicious. No pictures because we ate them immediately. Pan fried dumpling. 9 of them. That's a big portion. And it was like 9-10 bucks? They make their own dumpling wrappers, their own dipping sauces. Dumplings were very good. You could really taste the vegetables. Focused on the quality of the ingredients. My wife had the hand pulled noodles in hot oil. Marked spicy it was American spicy. Did not blow your head off. O enjoyed them. They give you a pair of scissors. Because it's one long noodle. Do not use them on your birthday. More on that later. I had the aforementioned cumin lamb and pulled noodles. I liked it but it was overwhelmingly cumin flavored which obviously is the point of cumin lamb. I'm not saying over seasoned I'm just saying it announced itself as this is cumin lamb. Period. We also had bubble tea! How fun is that? My wife had taro which they made with non dairy milk for her. I had pomegranate with exploding bubbles. Never had those before. Also super fun. They did not explode in an American way or even a Chinese way as both countries let's face it are pretty well known for making things explode. No in a pleasant way. Waitress was delightful we had obviously a long conversation about the food and the restaurant. The scissors are for Americans who share their food. In China you would eat the noodles slurp them without cutting them because eating long noodles especially on your birthday is supposed to promote a long life. We did not learn this until after cutting my wife's noodles. It was her birthday. I will miss her but also look forward to meat based appetizers. One door closes and all that. They also own the bakery a few doors down. Very light chiffon style cakes. Not too sweet. Chocolate Oreo cake. I asked if that was very traditional. Oh how we laughed at my hilarious joke.

We came here after it being recommended to us by a tea shop in Boonton. Coming in for some hot…read moreChinese food while it's bitter cold outside certainly hits just the right spot and starting with the steamed beef dumplings was a great choice. The dumplings were flavorful, hot, and perfectly steamed. They were definitely the highlight of our meal. Next came the beef pancake which was crunchy, chewy, had excellent flavor, but slightly heavy on the sauce. Lastly, was the braised beef noodle soup. The broth's flavor was on the mild side, whilst relying on the spice's heat to shine as the primary flavor. The beef was also mild, but especially tender. There was also a good amount of proteins in the soup and the hand pulled noodles were perfectly thick and chewy. Overall it was a great dish for a chilly night out.
