OMG! I probably gained a few pounds from eating so many delicious brunch pastries. I had a…read morecroissant with a chocolate cookie, a croissant with pistachio cream, and a few others whose names I can't remember. I hadn't eaten pastries for a long time, but the moment I walked into this bakery, I completely forgot about my daily diet! Everything I tried was so worth it. They said they import their ingredients from France. If you're curious, you should just try them without overthinking it. The young lady working at the bakery was very friendly, which made me feel comfortable trying as many pastries as I wanted. I will definitely go back again when I'm nearby.

Oo la la! C'est magnifique!…read more What a wonderful French bakery! The pastries and breads are beyond compare. The delicate layers, expertly crafted with dedication and love. You truly can taste the passion for excellence in every bite. It's right there in The Krate, off I-75 at SR 54 in Wesley Chapel. There are limited parking spots along the street out front and ample parking just steps away. The adorable little shop has only one or two tables inside but there are several cute outdoor tables. When I walked in, around 9am on a weekday, it was so bright and cheerful inside. The woman who took my order was very nice and made good recommendations. I ordered the gorgeous croissant a l'emmental and a beautiful berry pastry. I wish I could tell you I ate one there and took the other home for the next day. But that's not what happened! I got to the car with the second one and savored the whole thing right there. I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to enjoy both of them popping fresh. They were melty and so incredibly delicious-and I so appreciate the obvious talent and care baked into each one. They import butter and flour from France, which makes a difference, too. Oh, what a perfect little jewel! I can't wait to go back!

It took me back to my childhood as my sister & I were at KRATE celebrating her birthday. My sis chose the chocolate mint parfait which she shared just one bite of with me. It was divine! Great mint flavor bursting through the creamy chocolate. I chose the Oatmeal Caramel Chocolate bar that is one of the BEST layered dessert bars I have ever encountered! Seriously, the caramel oozed onto the plate begging to be scooped up with my spoon. I asked Tracy for a bag to take the final 5 bites home (something to look forward to after my drive home to Tampa!). The shop is set up with such attention to detail in the chalkboard menu, Instagram worthy TREATS sign, display cases that invite you to buy some for now, some for later, & something for a friend who needs a little pick-me-up! As the owner working the bakery every day, Tracy has a lot to share and her passion for baking shines through. A little secret we found out from her is she ADORES cake pops and offers them only on the weekends. All baking is done on sight with no dividing wall between customers & Urban Sweets staff so you get hit with aromas that will transport you to your own childhood memory. Head to Wesley Chapel's KRATE today & tell Tracy Beth suggested you swing by for a few treats! Supporting local women-owned bakeries is now my favorite pastime!

I'm officially in love with Niaddi Flan. I had a last minute Christmas work party to attend in…read morewhich I needed to bring dessert so I called literally less than 24hrs before needing the flan. I spoke to the owner and he advised me they are closed Saturday, however he hear the desperation in my voice and told me he will call me back to let me know if he could make it happen. He called me back within an hour and said he could have my special order Jack Daniel's private stock flan made and he would personally be at the location for me to pick it up. That speaks volumes about his customer service. He went out of his way to make sure what I needed was taken care of and that alone turned me into a loyal customer. I went the next day and picked up the flan, it was nicely packaged to avoid me from destroying it before heading to the party. Got to the party with the flan and discovered 2 other people had already brought flan. The dessert table had maybe 20 different desserts. To my surprise by the end of the night the 2 other flans weren't enough touched but the flan from Niaddi's was finished. Everyone from the party raved how delicious the flan was. The next morning I checked my emails and I had coworkers emailing me asking where I got it from that they want to try other flavors. Let's just say it was the topic of the night. I am so grateful I found this place and will definitely be ordering for my next gathering. It's a must try even for people that aren't flan lovers, I guarantee this flan will change your mind about flan.

I first fell in love with Niaddi Flan at the Florida Brewers Guild Beer Festival earlier this year…read more I am not usually a Flan fan, but this Flan was like no other! I lost their card (shocker...I was at a beer festival ), but I was lucky enough to run into Joe Lopez at the Gasparilla International Food Festival a couple weekends later and we became friends. In addition to his original Flavors, Joe has perfected a recipe for a non-dairy Flan for his friend Heaven, who is lactose intolerant. This is a great option for everyone else out there who is lactose intolerant, too. Do yourself a favor and buy some Niaddi Flan, sold locally here in Tampa. Check their website (www.niaddiflan.com) to see where it is sold near you. You (and your tummy) will be happy you did. You're welcome.
