Recently my husband and I engaged Coastal on a deck/yard renovation. Working with Jeff from Coastal…read morewas the best experience we've ever had working with a General Contractor. Jeff is endlessly knowledgeable, friendly, responsive and he is a consummate professional. He was with us every step of the way, following up with other partners, code officials etc., looking out for every detail and keeping everything moving quickly and efficiently. He worked with us on every aspect of the project and gave us the most fair pricing we could ask for. Due to circumstances beyond any of our control (lack of supply availability within our timeline due to the pandemic) we were unable to complete the project this year but we look forward to picking back up with Jeff where we left off next spring. The level of customer service we received was second to none and level of trust we have in him is rare to find. We could not recommend Jeff and his team at Coastal more highly -- if you are lucky enough to work with him you will be thrilled with the quality, customer service and honesty you will receive.

I contacted a number of contractors to inquire about repairing the concrete floor in the basement…read moreof my 80-yr old home in Portland. Jamie from Custom Concrete of Maine was definitely the right person for the job. He replied to my online inquiry and came to the house to check out the project within 24 hrs. He gave me a detailed cost estimate before he even left the house. The next day, he worked a 10+ hr day and completed the project. He communicated clearly with me about the extent of the work; he told me when to expect him at the house; and he gave me project updates along the way. Based on my experience with other concrete contractors in the area, Jamie's rates are very reasonable. In the end I was happy with the repaired floor. He's one of the good ones and I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again!

Chris was very responsive, he responded quickly after I sent a website inquiry, came for an initial consultation within just a couple days, and had a full estimate to me not long after. I received sketches and renderings of his proposed landscape plan, and he seemed to understand exactly what we wanted. He had great ideas but also was a good listener and took our ideas into account as well. He installed the landscaping over the course of spring 2020. He checked in several times in person to see how it was doing over the summer, and was always there to answer a call or email with any questions we had. A year later, all of the plants have come in beautifully, we did not lose even one over the winter. He did a meticulous spring cleanup, and we are so excited for year 2 of our landscaping looking better than ever!
