I explained that I had once had a poor experience with another dog at a groomer and I wanted to make sure my fur baby Piper had a good experience. She and her assistant were gentle, piper seemed calm and she said she let her set the pace and whether she wanted to up or down on the table. Piper looked amazing, her nails were trimmed and she got so much of the thick undercoat out. It was also quick, about an hour!! I will definitely have her back!

But today I would like to mention a great experience I had at Dog Gone Crazy. I'm a new customer, never been there until yesterday to look the place over and book an appointment for my Siberian Husky for nail trimming. So my appointment was at 3pm today. I arrived about 15 minutes early to allow my dog Lego, to calm down a little after the ride. I was greeted by the other groomers when I arrived and they went to get my assigned groomer. She came out into the waiting area, sat down on the floor beside my dog and her and I just began talking. Click, off came the first nail. Lego didn't know what had even happened. My dog wasn't a great customer but in a few moments and a dog treat or two, he was done. That was an efficient, caring groomer. My dogs feelings were always her top concern. When he was nervous she paused at times to settle the stress level my dog was feeling and me, I got the "old friend treatment" for sure. The prices were really reasonable. I am absolutely an old friend after today. After all I am 75.

We get to see what our dogs like and don't like before we commit to it. We've only ever bought a dog tag once before at their rival store and so I was a bit lost when looking for their pet tags. The guy I asked walked me over to where they were. Also, the cashier, Sara, who tended us was nice enough to highlight the code that would be needed to engrave the tag at the kiosk. I thought that was a nice gesture, because again, I only have one other instance to compare it too. Second, I wanna say the store is well organized and clean. They make you pay for her cut before they let you see your dogs cut. I just paid and left tip on the cashier bill. When I received my doodle she was definitely just chopped up, it was not the teddy bear cut I was expecting. Numerous areas there were bald spots and the tail was not even touched. Her eye looked like they nicked it. It was her first cut, I was let down. The price was over 95 bucks so I expected more. I would not recommend Petco, I am also thinking about stopping my auto ship items because of this.
